  • Determine the organisation's overall mission, vision, and strategic direction.

  • Monitor the financial stability and sustainability of the charity.

  • Act as an ambassador for Ignite Youth within the community.

  • Recruit, support, and hold the Senior Management Team (once established) to account.

What We're Looking For

  • A deep commitment to the mission and values of Ignite Youth and the East London community.

  • Proven professional experience and skills in a relevant area (listed above).

  • Strategic thinking, independent judgment, and a willingness to speak your mind.

  • Willingness to dedicate the necessary time to board meetings and preparatory work.

  • Must be eligible to serve as a Charity Trustee (no disqualifications).

What We Offer You

  • Significant Impact: The opportunity to establish and shape the direction of a new organisation from the ground up.

  • Professional Development: Excellent experience in charity governance and strategic leadership.

  • Networking: Collaboration with fellow professionals and community leaders.

  • Purpose: The satisfaction of contributing to a vital service for local young people.
