As a HR Trustee, You Will: 

• Contribute to setting goals, targets, and overall policy for the organisation

• Provide oversight of the budget to guarantee School-Home Support’s financial sustainability. 

• Ensure measures are in place for safeguarding for the children and families we support and the staff team

• Act as a champion and ambassador for School-Home Support, enhancing our reputation, representing us at key events, and supporting fundraising efforts.

The Ramblers, which celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2025, is the only charity dedicated to removing barriers so everyone can enjoy walking in green spaces, and to improving Britain’s most popular and least-known walking places. We’re committed to campaigning to keep our countryside open to all and to fighting for the things that matter most to walkers. We lead the way, and the walks, for a vibrant community united by the joys of walking, helping everyone get more out of their walks. 

The role of East Sussex Area Countryside Officer involves reviewing planning applications published by Local Authorities and creating and submitting objections on behalf of Sussex Ramblers if an application is likely to have an adverse impact on the Sussex countryside and the places where people walk. Objections may be expressed in writing through a response to the planning process, but could also involve site visits and on occasions attendance at public hearings or meetings with representatives of Local Authorities or with other stakeholders such as Parish Councils and environmental and wildlife organisations.

The role holder will work closely with other Ramblers volunteers such as the East Sussex Area Footpath Officer, the West Sussex Area Countryside Officer and Local Footpath Wardens in East Sussex and where necessary will seek advice and guidance from Ramblers' Central Office. Other main contacts include the Local Authorities, Parish/Town Councils, the South Downs National Park Authority and the East Sussex Local Access Forum. The role holder will be a member of the Area leadership team (Area Council). You will need to be a member of the Ramblers and to live in or close to East Sussex.

A desire and ability to work in a team environment is essential. You will also need to be comfortable using a computer and the internet, and managing information.

Volunteer Treasurer / Trustee Opportunity

Darlington Assistance for Refugees (DAR) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Volunteer Treasurer to join its Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to contribute valuable financial expertise to a volunteer-led charity that supports refugees and asylum seekers in the Darlington area.

The Role
DAR is looking for an individual with strong financial management skills who can offer approximately 5–10 hours per week and attend around 14 evening meetings annually. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the charity’s financial health and compliance.

Join us at Brighton Racecourse for a fundraising bucket collection! As a volunteer, you'll receive a ticket to the event, giving you the chance to watch some of the races while supporting a great cause. 

Role Details: 
Volunteers will assist by collecting donations from the public using buckets and card machines. Collections will take place after the races and at the Shelter stand. 

Availability: Flexible shifts available between 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

This is an opportunity to join the board of a small Housing Association operating in Birmingham. The Association provides general needs housing at social rents for people in need. 

What will you be doing?

You will be a trustee and member of the Board of Management of the association. 

The Board sets direction and ensures compliance with the values, mission and strategic objectives of the Association. The Board is accountable to the Regulator of Social Housing. 

We are seeking new board members with experience in property / asset management, preferably in the social housing sector to help us deliver our strategic objectives:

Becoming a trustee for Home-Start Southwark (HSS) is an exciting and fulfilling role. The role of a trustee is to ensure that HSS fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries through contributing to the strategic development, effective governance and financial management of the organisation. What we do

We are a well established and respected creative charity who believes that anyone can enjoy good mental health and wellbeing by engaging in creative activities.

We provide regular art and craft sessions for children and adults with a wide variety of needs.

We extend our reach by providing sessions for partners, including local schools, Southend in Sight, Sanctuary Housing and South Essex Homes.

We engage with the wider community by providing art and craft activities at local events, by offering volunteering and employment opportunities, and holding exhibitions.

Who we need

We need people with experience of finance, HR, fundraising, event management, digital engagement, PR, partnerships, and/or delivering creative services.

We need creative thinkers who can work collaboratively to provide the leadership that The Art Ministry needs to achieve its strategic objective of helping even more members of the local community improve their mental health and wellbeing by engaging in creative activities.

You will need to commit to at least 4 hours a month, including at least 4 trustee meetings a year.

We will validate your suitability for the role through an interview, reference and security checks.

SPSAS with the purpose to reduce isolation, loneliness, and to promote equal and

For the people they help, our volunteer drivers provide a friendly face and that personal touch to brighten their day and help get them to where they need to be.

Our drivers can become a regular part of someone’s life and for some their journeys together may be the only chance an RNIB customer has had to get out of their home for some time.
