Role Details: 

Join us for a wonderful evening of music at Ralli Hall in Hove, where the Brighton & Hove Concert Orchestra will perform a programme of film and theatre favourites with their 50-piece orchestra. 

We’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help collect donations before and after the concert using both donation buckets and card machines. 

Whether you're looking to support a great cause, meet new people, or gain experience for your CV, we’d love to have you on board. No previous experience is necessary – just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved.

Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. Youth Leaders also help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be, as well as supervise and support other adult volunteers in their team.

You’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.

What you’ll be doing

As a Community Engagement Volunteer supporting libraries, you will:

• Take responsibility for 3 - 6 local libraries, depending on your location.
• Build positive relationships with library staff and engage with library users where appropriate.
• Share key information and offer a listening ear to others
• Monitor stock levels of Marie Curie information materials and top them up as needed.
• Amplify the voices of those affected by terminal illness and bereavement
• Record stock checks and activity using a simple Microsoft Office form and return it to the Community Engagement Team.

At St John Ambulance, we are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education. 

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference. Through volunteering as an Emergency Responder, you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering essential first aid and lifesaving clinical care at community and major events in your areas, including at sporting events, concerts, community festivals.

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. Volunteer Opportunity with the Cambridge Dining Club!

The Cambridge Dining Club, in aid of the NSPCC, is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with administrative tasks. We host 5 lunch events on selected Mondays throughout term times at The Gonville Hotel in Cambridge. Your help with event logistics, communications, and other admin aspects is crucial to our success. While attending the lunch events is useful, it is not essential. If you have a passion for organization and want to support a great cause, we'd love to hear from you! 

What you'll do

You'll volunteer without regular time commitments, ‘as and when' volunteering! Engage with the public, organisations and local communities – promoting a positive image of the NSPCC! You'll be a valued part of one of our Volunteer Community Fundraising Teams across the UK, raising awareness and funds. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to a couple of hours a month, but if you want to do more that would be great.
