We are looking for a resilient and dedicated people to join our new specialist high risk domestic abuse service as Independent Domestic Violence Advocate's (IDVA).

The roles is full time and offered on a hybrid working basis with two days per week from our centrally located office in Boscombe. Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicants would be expected to travel regularly across the Dorset county.

About the role

As a IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:

• Feel safer
• Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
• Feel listened to and heard
• Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
• Be connected with services who are available to help them
• Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)

You will need

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
• Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records
• Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate
• An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
• A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
• Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages
• Organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload

About the role

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Family Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. With multiple roles available, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative city-wide service from the very beginning, helping to improve outcomes for parents and their children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Each Family IDVA will be based within one of Birmingham's 10 Family Hubs, working as part of a multi-agency network to provide specialist domestic abuse support where families need it most. Combining core IDVA expertise with a strong whole-family and child-centred approach, you will work directly with parents aged 16+ and their children under 18, helping them to increase safety, reduce risk and begin their recovery journey.

As a Family IDVA, you will provide a flexible range of interventions tailored to the needs of each family. This may include risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, practical and emotional support, support through criminal and civil justice processes, recovery-focused interventions, and helping families access wider services and opportunities. You will manage a varied caseload and work closely with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the earliest opportunity, preventing escalation and reducing harm.

Alongside direct support, you will play an important role in strengthening the wider response to domestic abuse across Birmingham. You will deliver targeted training and awareness sessions to professionals within Early Help, education, health and community settings, helping to build confidence in identifying and responding to domestic abuse and ensuring families can access support sooner.

About the role

As an Independent Victim Advocate you will:

• deliver excellent services to adult victims of crime through the direct provision of information, practical and emotional help from the point of crime and where appropriate, onwards throughout the criminal justice process.
• help people cope and recover from the effects of crime.
• act as a single point of contact, undertaking effective need and risk assessments.
• coordinate the overall delivery of the cope and recovery plan and recovery journey, working closely with other service providers to meet the needs of victims.

• Previous experience delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting
• Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the new Refuge‑led Mimram Gender‑based Abuse Support Service, which brings together a partnership of highly experienced specialist organisations to deliver integrated, survivor‑centred support to people experiencing multiple forms of gender-based abuse across Hertfordshire. The Independent Gender Violence Advocate will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high-quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence and their children.

For us it is important that you are passionate, committed and care about the work Refuge undertakes. In this role you will need to establish the risks and needs of victims and survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). Develop individual support and safety plans to address the risk of survivors, and provide practical, emotional support and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse and VAWG to ensure their needs are met i.e. housing issues, civil remedies, wellbeing. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate who has experience working with vulnerable adult or young people, understands risk and safety planning, and copes well with pressure. 

Roles within the Mimram Gender-based Abuse Support Service offer the opportunity to work as part of a skilled, values‑driven partnership committed to collaborative practice, survivor safety and inclusive service delivery. About the Role:

You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside professionals in a multi-agency environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of both domestic and sexual violence.

This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Singer Street.

As a DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide a high quality and victim/survivor focused service to children and young people who have been subjected to domestic violence and abuse. You will:

• help them to deal with the aftermath and consequences of violence and abuse.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our Domestic Abuse team based at our office in Southampton. This role is fully office based and regular travel throughout Hampshire will be required.

You will work shifts between the opening hours of Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, with extended hours until 8pm on Wednesdays. You will be required to work one late shift every three Wednesdays.

About the Role

As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to them explaining our services, and assessing the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records on a bespoke case management system
• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering immediate support.
• Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support
• Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer
• Work as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients

About You

You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, including the ability to navigate and utilise bespoke case management systems effectively and an ability to use Microsoft Office applications to a high standard

About the Role

As a Caseworker you will provide high quality support to victims of crime and anti-social behaviour, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also contribute to providing cover for the local VS Helpline.

About the Role

As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA), you will provide practical, emotional and advocacy support to adults who have experienced recent or non-recent sexual violence.

Working in a trauma-informed and client-centred way, you will empower survivors to understand their options, access appropriate services and, where appropriate, navigate the Criminal Justice System.

This role requires excellent communication skills, resilience, empathy and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Manage a varied caseload, providing high-quality, person-centred support throughout a client's journey.
• Build trusting and supportive relationships with survivors using a trauma-informed approach.
• Carry out comprehensive risk and needs assessments and develop individual support plans.
• Review and update support plans in line with clients' changing needs.
• Provide emotional and practical support tailored to each individual's circumstances.
• Support clients through the Criminal Justice System by explaining processes, rights and available options.
• Accompany clients to police interviews, court hearings, medical appointments and multi-agency meetings where appropriate.
• Provide information and guidance regarding Criminal Injuries Compensation applications and other available support.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the services and support to which they are entitled.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies including Police, Crown Prosecution Service, Courts, Health Services, Social Care, Education, Housing Providers, Victim Support, the Witness Service and voluntary sector organisations.
• Maintain accurate, confidential and timely case records using secure electronic systems.
• Complete monitoring, evaluation and outcome reporting to support service development and funding requirements.
• Work within safeguarding procedures, organisational policies and professional boundaries at all times.
• Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, training and continuing professional development.
