What you will do in the role:
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns.
- Create compelling copy for the website, email campaigns, social media and other digital marketing materials.
- Manage the Society’s website, including developing, updating and monitoring content to ensure SEO/GEO maximisation and best practice.
- Plan, develop and oversee the production and repurposing of digital content including videos, podcasts and live streaming events, creating promotional, informational and thought leadership content.
- Oversee the design and production of printed material, branded assets and promotional items ensuring consistent implementation of the brand.
- Monitor and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as needed.
- Build strong, productive, collaborative working relationships internally and externally to support the delivery of the digital marketing strategy.
Essential skills and experience you will need to demonstrate:
- Degree or relevant marketing qualification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a digital marketing role.
- Experience of email marketing, social media (including advertising) and content marketing.
- Digital content design skills with experience in creating and repurposing digital content through applications such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Audition (or other equivalent.)
- Strong written communication.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills: self-sufficient in prioritising, organising workload and planning ahead.

What you can expect when you work for the Royal Meteorological Society:

DIGITAL PLATFORMS & CONTENT MANAGEMENT (50%)
- Manage Mission 44’s communications calendar, ensuring timely and consistent content across website, email newsletter, and social media channels.
- Coordinate content scheduling, publishing and distribution to maximise reach and engagement.
- Maintain and update the Mission 44 website to meet organisational and audience needs, including publishing content and ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure our digital communications are consistent with compliance best practice, including as it relates to data protection and safeguarding.
CONTENT PRODUCTION (20%)
- Support the planning and delivery of creative content and digital campaigns to drive engagement and increase impact.
- Lead on producing branded digital assets, including graphics, reports, presentations, newsletter and social media content, ensuring alignment with Mission 44’s brand guidelines.

MONITORING, REPORTING & INSIGHTS (20%)

Summary of the role:
The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. Job Purpose

Wells Cathedral’s Marketing & Communications Team delivers direction and support across all areas of Cathedral life, including visitor experience, fundraising, worship and music, events, venue hire, library and archives, as well as our Cathedral Shop and Loft Café. The Team covers the full scope of marketing and communications activities, including researching and identifying target audiences, designing strategic marketing plans, generating earned media exposure through PR activity, developing and implementing brand identity, and delivering integrated campaign creative across social, digital, print, broadcast and OOH channels.
Reporting the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Assistant will play a significant role in supporting the delivery of all of this, effectively and efficiently, across the organisation. This is a truly unique early career opportunity for an ambitious marketer looking to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting efficient workflow by responding to incoming requests and scheduling projects
- Enhancing online customer experience and engagement by providing real-time responses to social media DMs, comments and reviews
- Timely display and removal of onsite promotional and information banners, posters, flyers and POS material
- Assisting the Director of Marketing & Communications, Head of Filming and Content Creator during film crew, photographer, influencer and media visits

Employment status: Permanent contract of employment
Location: Wells Cathedral Offices, Wells, BA5 2RB
Hours of work: full-time, 35 working hours per week (Monday to Friday). Flexible working will be considered.
Remuneration: £25,000 per annum, payable on the 24th of the month or the nearest working day thereto
Discount: A discount of 10% is available from the Cathedral Shop and The Loft Café.
Parking: Limited parking is available in the Cathedral car park. Cars are parked at the risk of the owner.
Pension: Defined Contribution Scheme. Contributions as % of salary:

About the Role

About the role
Are you a strategic communications professional who can lead a team and shape an organisation’s external profile?
We are looking for a Communications Manager to lead and develop Equation’s communications function. This is a strategic role focused on building our brand and external profile, managing a talented team, and ensuring all parts of the organisation have the communications support they need.
You will line manage a team of four, including two Coordinators, a Project Worker and a Freelance Resource Worker. Your role is to provide strategic direction, set targets and quality assure outputs – not to do the day-to-day delivery yourself. You will develop and implement our communications strategy, support other workstreams with their communications needs, and work with colleagues including our new Corporate Partnerships Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging.
This role also has an important sector leadership element. You will chair the DSVA Communications Group, working with communications colleagues from partner organisations across Nottinghamshire to coordinate joint campaigns and messaging.
You do not need to have worked in the domestic abuse sector before, but you do need to be an experienced communications professional who can think strategically, manage people well and maintain high standards across everything we put out.
