Supporter Data & Insight Manager

Location: Remote with monthly travel to Horsham, West Sussex

Salary: £43K per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Join Born Free as their new Supporter Data & Insight Manager and play a pivotal role in helping one of the world's leading wildlife charities make evidence-led fundraising decisions that maximise income, strengthen supporter relationships and ultimately help protect wild animals across the globe.

About Born Free

Born Free is a leading international wildlife charity dedicated to protecting wild animals and ensuring they are treated with compassion and respect. Through conservation, rescuing wild animals from appalling captive conditions, education and campaigning, the charity works around the world to keep wild animals in the wild, protect threatened species and inspire positive action for wildlife.

As fundraising continues to grow, Born Free is investing in its data and insight capability to ensure supporter information drives better decision-making and fundraising performance.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Public Fundraising, you will lead the development and optimisation of Born Free's fundraising CRM, ensuring supporter data is accurate, accessible and used effectively across the organisation.

You will deliver reporting, dashboards and insight that inform fundraising strategy, improve supporter engagement and maximise income, while championing data quality, governance and continuous improvement. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll provide expert support on Raiser's Edge NXT and help embed an evidence-led approach to fundraising.

Key responsibilities

· Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of Raiser's Edge NXT, ensuring it meets the needs of the Fundraising team.

· Develop reporting, dashboards and insight to support fundraising strategy and evidence-based decision-making.

· Analyse supporter behaviour and campaign performance to identify opportunities to improve acquisition, retention and lifetime value.

· Deliver audience segmentation and campaign selections to maximise fundraising effectiveness.

· Champion high standards of data quality, governance and GDPR compliance.

· Oversee data imports, exports, cleansing, Gift Aid and Direct Debit processing.

· Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external suppliers to maximise the value of supporter data and drive continuous improvement.

About you

You are an experienced fundraising data professional with a passion for using insight to improve fundraising performance and supporter engagement. Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, you can turn complex data into clear, actionable insight and build strong relationships across an organisation.

You will have:

· Significant experience managing a fundraising CRM, ideally Raiser's Edge NXT.

· Experience producing reporting, analysis and insight to inform fundraising strategy.

· Strong knowledge of fundraising data management, GDPR and data governance.

· Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.

· Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

· A collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.

· Experience of ImportOmatic, Power BI, FastStats, Engaging Networks or similar tools would be advantageous.
