As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!

What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

From elderly moggies to energic kittens, every day across the UK cats and kittens are in need of a temporary place to stay, and lots of love and TLC! We need more fosterers like you to provide a safe, temporary haven for cats and kittens and provide them with everything they need before they get their chance to land on their four paws and make a house a home.

The Greenhouse Christian Centre is seeking to appoint a new Trustee to join our strong and committed Board. For over 70 years, the Greenhouse has offered Christ-centred hospitality, retreats, and teaching in a warm and prayerful residential environment. Our ministry continues to grow, serving more than 3,000 guests each year with a distinctive blend of welcome, worship, and spiritual refreshment.

We are looking for someone who shares our Christian faith and values, and who brings senior-level experience within a Christian residential or retreat-centre context. The role includes offering support and guidance to our Centre Director and contributing to the ongoing development of the ministry.

You will join a capable Board who care deeply about the mission and who work closely with the leadership team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who understands the heartbeat of Christian residential ministry and wants to invest in a work that is bearing fruit.

The Board meets quarterly in person, with occasional additional meetings as required.

Our lost and found volunteers are passionate about reuniting lost cats and bringing families back together. They help cats and their owners by advertising lost cats and providing support, advice and guidance to people searching for their cats.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical volunteer to support our data-driven decision-making and fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys researching, organising information, and using data to tell a meaningful story — especially within a creative, community-focused arts environment.

You will help us collect, interpret, and present data that demonstrates our impact to funders, partners, and stakeholders. You’ll also contribute to researching grant opportunities, supporting funding bids, and strengthening our ability to secure financial resources for future programmes and accessible literary initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in gathering data related to audience engagement, workshop participation, reach, and impact

• Organise and present data clearly (charts, reports, summaries, insights)

• Contribute to the development of evidence-based funding bids and grant applications

• Research new funding sources including grants, trusts, donors, and corporate partners

• Help maintain accurate records and metrics related to growth, performance, and community reach

• Work collaboratively with our leadership team and provide data insights that support strategic planning

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong analytical and organisational skills

• Experience with spreadsheets, CRM tools, or analytical software is beneficial (but not required)

About the role

We are seeking a finance-focused Trustee who will play a pivotal role in supporting the Trust’s strategy, sustainability and long-term planning.

As a Finance Trustee, you will:

• Support oversight of the Trust’s financial strategy, reserves, risk and long-term sustainability.
• Provide scrutiny and constructive challenge to ensure robust financial governance.
• Work closely with fellow Trustees to oversee growth, investment and capital planning.
• Help ensure resources are deployed effectively to maximise educational impact.
• Contribute to the Audit & Risk and/or Finance Committee, depending on experience.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced strategic leader with strong financial expertise who can add immediate value to board discussions and oversight.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Senior financial leadership experience (e.g. CFO/FD, Audit Partner, or equivalent).
• Understanding of financial strategy, sustainability, risk and audit.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and advise non-finance colleagues.
• Experience of working within, or advising, regulated or multi-site organisations.
• Commitment to community impact and improving life chances for young people.
• Experience within education or the public sector is welcomed but not essential.

You will join a committed Board of Trustees who work closely with our small
operational team. Together, we ensure that Tackle remains financially resilient,
strategically focused, and deeply rooted in the lived experiences of those we
support.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Board’s strategic oversight, particularly around fundraising andl ong-term income development.
• Support the Executive Team to explore and strengthen diverse income streams, including grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and trading opportunities.
• Help shape our sustainability plan as we transition from growth to consolidation.
• Champion good governance and ensure that fundraising aligns with our values and ethical standards.
