The Community Support team is Age UK Sutton's front door service, providing regulated Information & Advice to the residents of Sutton.  The team support in excess of 3,000 people per year providing a mixture of light touch information provision through to long-term advice provision and casework. 

The service provides free, confidential and impartial information and advice to all older people and their families and carers.  We work with older people to identify their own goals, set priorities and create a shared action plan whislt maintaining high levels of customer care.

Community Support Advisers play an important part in service delivery.  You will undertake initial exploration and diagnosis before deciding whether a client requires basic information and advice, signposting or regulated advice.  You will deliver regulated advice to clients predominantely in the areas of welfare benefits, housing, and health and social care.  It is vital that advice is delivered in an accessible way for all clients. 

We are looking for a person-centred Adviser who:

• Can effectively commnunicate accurate and impartial information and advice to older people with a wide range of support and communication needs
• Can manage case work and client relationships to ensure excellent client care and accurate recording of actions, evidence and outcomes
• Can work well with external agencies and our own services

ABOUT THE CLINK CHARITY

The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind prison walls and in the community, creating an environment where students gain skills, confidence and qualifications to rebuild their lives.

We have trained approximately 5,000 people in prison and delivered 2,600 City & Guilds qualifications across hospitality and food courses.

A unique part of The Clink is our post-release support and mentoring programme, supporting individuals with health and mental health needs, housing, employment, family connections and friendships.

The charity operates a fine-dining restaurant inside HMP Brixton, training kitchens across the prison estate, horticulture projects at HMP Send and HMP Erlestoke, a commercial bakery in Brixton, and a bespoke delivery service, Catered by Clink.

Clink Events is our social enterprise catering business, with food produced by women in HMP Downview and an additional kitchen in Herne Hill. Alumni provide front-of-house service at major London venues including the Guildhall, Science Museum, Cutty Sark, Kew Gardens and the Camden Roundhouse. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 General Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for financial management, including strategic planning, reporting, budgeting, systems and controls.
• Responsibility for IT, HR, premises, lettings and administration.
• Active member of the senior leadership team, working with colleagues and the Board of Trustees.

Financial Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the financial strategy and conduct financial modelling for strategic decision-making.
• Lead all financial procedures and reporting, including monthly budget monitoring, management accounts and annual accounts.
• Maintain financial controls, standards and systems.
• Prepare and maintain budgets, financial plans and forecasts.
• Provide information for financial returns, bids and grant claims.
• Maintain the Asset Register and Risk Register.
• Negotiate, manage and monitor tenders, contracts, licences and service agreements.
• Act as cost centre manager for designated budget areas.
• Advise staff on financial matters.

HR Responsibilities

• In liaison with HR Managed Services (Solution22), oversee an effective HR function covering recruitment, induction, training, payroll, pensions, performance, retention and wellbeing.
• Ensure the CEO and leadership team have access to HR advice and data.
• Oversee policies and procedures and ensure the Handbook is updated in line with legislation.

Premises Management

• Lead responsibility for the Head Office site, including maintenance and development.
• Report to the CEO and Trustees on premises issues and recommend repairs or capital works.
• Liaise with contractors regarding building maintenance.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement savings.
• Prepare an annual maintenance plan and capital work forecasts.
• Manage income from facility lettings and other revenue sources.
• Manage the premises budget and ensure value for money.

Health and Safety

• Act as Health and Safety Officer and ensure compliance with all legislation and procedures.
• Prepare and update the emergency plan and risk analysis.
• Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments.
• Ensure First Aid requirements are met and logs maintained.
• Arrange health and safety training.

IT Support

• Manage the IT Services contract with Computerlink.
• Ensure IT systems and devices are well maintained.
• Plan and oversee IT projects and updates.

• Ensure all necessary IT licences are in place.

Risk Management and Data Protection

The Public Affairs Lead sits within our Policy and Advocacy Team, working to build support for The Food Foundation’s work amongst Parliamentarians and to influence the government to help deliver policies that will transform the food system. The Public Affairs Manager reports to our Head of Policy and Advocacy and will be responsible for planning and delivering our public affairs activity. This includes: 

• Political engagement: meeting MPs and Peers in parliament and building relationships with their teams with a view to identifying potential new supporters 
• Policy and research: working closely with colleagues to share perspectives on which priorities it may be tactical to pursue and to understand what evidence is available to inform engagement.
• Networking: working with public affairs professionals in other organisations to deliver joint programmes of engagement work which leverage respective organisational strengths.

Meeting with a Peer that is new to our work to brief them on evidence we have published and our current political priorities, completing a political stakeholder mapping exercise for a new campaign on sustainable diets to identify a shortlist of MPs to engage with, spending an afternoon in parliament to engage informally with passing MPs, pitching a new idea for a
parliamentary inquiry to parliamentary staff from the Health and Social Care Committee, drafting an MP briefing for an upcoming debate on the Government’ s obesity prevention priorities, reviewing next week’s parliamentary calendar to spot opportunities for engagement, attending a roundtable to share intelligence and discuss priorities for political party manifestos with other NGOs working on food issues, ringing round parliamentary offices to confirm attendance for
an upcoming parliamentary reception, meeting with an MP that is closely involved with The Food Foundation’s work to refine messaging for an upcoming campaign.

Your experience
You will have a strong knowledge of the UK political landscape and be comfortable and confident in engaging with stakeholders in Whitehall and in Parliament across the political spectrum. Ideally you would also have a knowledge of policy related to the food system, public health or the environmental crisis.

About the opportunity
Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider Philanthropy Department, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will identify and cultivate fruitful partnerships with a range of small, medium and large businesses.
They will help maximise the potential of corporate and other organisations for funding, volunteer recruitment, and other philanthropic opportunities, to enable growth and sustainability for Action Tutoring. This will be achieved by securing and nurturing small to medium sized organisations to provide financial support for programmes. Additionally, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will engage with business to generate volunteers from across the country to deliver both online and face to face tutoring.

Working location: mostly remote work with some travel required. We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Support Administrator in our First Contact Team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in administration and working in a healthcare environment.

The First Contact Team is a dynamic one-stop service that transforms the way patients and referral agencies access the Hospice’s services. An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Administrator to join the First Contact Team. If you are a successful applicant, you will be part of the team that acts as the first point of contact for the Hospice’s services. You will answer telephone calls from people who may be in difficult and stressful situations, provide advice and signpost to other services or agencies. You will also undertake associated administration and data entry.

The service operates 24 hours over seven days a week for advice, whilst referrals will be taken mainly in daytime hours. You will work 37.5 hours every week. Shift patterns will vary, and you will be expected to cover shifts from Monday through Friday, 8.00 am to 9.00 pm, plus occasional weekends according to the rota.

The Southeast and East Asian Centre (SEEAC) is a community-led CIC supporting East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) migrants and refugees in the UK. We work to build an equitable society where ESEA communities thrive.

We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead our programme team, deliver high-impact community services and advocacy projects, and strengthen partnerships across the sector. This role is central to coordinating multiple projects, managing staff, developing proposals, overseeing budgets, ensuring monitoring and evaluation, and representing SEEAC publicly with partners, media and stakeholders. Our Nourish programme supports schools to create a food environment that puts children and young people's nutrition first. The evidence-based, multi-component programme helps schools to develop action plans and policies to cover the food served across the whole school day. Nourish uses a collaborative whole school approach to food involving everyone across the school community to create lasting positive change.

Job purpose

· To assist the team with the scaling up of our Nourish programme

Key tasks include

· Recruit schools to take part in Nourish in the regions

· Provide admin support to the Scaling Manager with setting up e.g. sending out calendar invites, project paperwork, writing minutes

· Assist Scaling Manager with set up of training sessions – agendas, venues, and minutes

· Tailor project resources for different regions delivering Nourish where required

· Design and create project assets such as presentations

· Manage online training platform

· Monitor Regional Officers documentation and check it stays up to date

· Attend occasional project sessions to capture photos, videos and quotes

· Collect data and maintain accurate records relating to the project

· Keep Scaling Manager fully updated on progress

Role outline and purpose

The Development Manager – Trusts & Foundations is responsible for delivering new relationships with a wide spectrum of Trusts and Foundations to grow our portfolio of high value funding partners. Responsible for developing compelling propositions and applications that drive transformational funding for our strategic programmes of work, maximising income generation, though prospecting, cultivating and securing funding to deliver against our strategic objectives and ambitious income targets.

This role is part of the Together with Trussell programme, the goal of which is to build stronger connections with our supporters, partners and donors in order to increase funding, campaigning, and other forms of support for our work. As a member of an enabling programme, this role is focused on the successful delivery of the Together with Trussell programme outcomes, which underpin and enable the outcomes of our 5 external programmes - together contributing to the fulfilment of our long term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role responsibilities

· Work with the Programme Funding team to deliver our income generation strategy, meeting income targets based on long term financial forecasts, by proactively developing new opportunities, propositions and relationships with a wide variety of Trusts and Foundations – including corporate foundations, family trusts and institutional trusts.

· Proactively identify, develop and nurture relationships with potential funders to maximise fundraising potential.

· Work alongside the High Value Partnerships team to ensure new funders are onboarded and handed over to account management and supporting with compelling propositions to uplift and retain their support.

· Provide line management support to the Development Officer – Trusts.

· Collaborate with our marketing and content teams to ensure we can communicate the impact of our high value supporters on our mission.
