About Tadamon

Since the start of the genocide in Gaza, more than 1,300 Palestinians have arrived in Britain, with many hundreds more expected over the coming months and years. Some have arrived via boats and others as students or visitors unable to return home and forced to apply for asylum. Added to this are increasing numbers of students, injured children and their families who have been evacuated directly from Gaza to Britain.

Upon arrival they in dire need of support, but often instead find a hostile environment and a charitable sector decimated by legal aid cuts and with limited capacity to assist them. The support that is available has been provided on an ad hoc basis by the Palestinian community and other migrant and faith organisations.

Tadamon aims to formalise much of this ad hoc support, by extending more structured provisions for supporting the Palestinian community in Britain – particularly newly arrived Palestinian refugees and those from Gaza – through casework, community services, access to legal resources, advice and advocacy, mental health support, cultural connection, employment, language and skills training.

Purpose of the Role

Tadamon is seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Caseworker to join our small and growing team.

The postholder will work directly with Palestinian new arrivals, including asylum seekers, refugees, students unable to return home and evacuees from Gaza. Many of our community members are navigating trauma, loss, displacement and complex immigration processes.

The purpose of the role is to:

• Provide holistic, high-quality casework support and advocacy.
• Ensure community members can access safe housing, legal representation (via referral), healthcare, education and welfare support.
• Reduce isolation and strengthen community engagement.
• Support Tadamon’s volunteers and mentors to deliver coordinated and culturally grounded support.
• Contribute to Tadamon’s development as a new and growing charity.

This role does not involve the provision of any regulated immigration advice or medical advice. The caseworker will provide information, advocacy and referrals to appropriately regulated legal and medical professionals.

Tadamon is committed to building internal immigration advice capacity. We are keen to support the successful candidate, where appropriate, to work towards accreditation with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), subject to organisational need and funding, and in line with relevant regulatory requirements which we hope to work towards meeting in due course.

Key Responsibilities

Casework & Direct Support

1. Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with community members, ensuring a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach to casework.
2. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and co-produce tailored support plans addressing immediate and longer-term needs.
3. Provide holistic casework support, including:
   • Support with accessing safe and stable housing.
   • Assistance with GP registration and navigating NHS services (without providing medical advice).
   • Support to access education, ESOL, employment and training opportunities.
   • Support accessing welfare benefits, access to our hardship fund, and financial assistance where eligible.
   • Referral to qualified immigration advisers and solicitors for legal advice.
4. Advocate (with informed consent) on behalf of community members with local authorities, housing providers, schools, healthcare providers, solicitors and other statutory or voluntary agencies.
5. Accompany community members to key appointments where appropriate and capacity allows.
6. Support individuals who may be at risk or in crisis, escalating safeguarding concerns in line with policy.

Community & Partnership Working

1. Encourage community members’ participation in Tadamon’s events, peer support initiatives and community activities to reduce isolation and strengthen connection.
2. Build and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, legal providers, health services, community organisations and other stakeholders.
3. Contribute to the development of structured community initiatives and culturally appropriate support models for Palestinians in the UK.

Organisational Development

1. Maintain accurate and timely case records using Tadamon’s case management system in line with GDPR and data protection legislation.
2. Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements, including providing anonymised case studies and data.
3. Attend supervision, team meetings and appraisals.
4. Take initiative in pursuing relevant training, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK asylum, immigration and welfare systems.
5. Where agreed, work towards IAA accreditation to support Tadamon in building regulated immigration advice capacity (training and supervision support to be discussed).
6. Comply with all Tadamon policies and procedures, including safeguarding, confidentiality, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety.
7. Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as the organisation grows.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be an Arabic speaker, and will have a minimum of three years’ experience as a caseworker. They must bring energy and determination to the role and must be committed to working in collaboration with community members who may be at high risk or in crisis.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to manage a complex caseload and the desire to work as a member of a small team to protect and promote the interests of some of the Palestinian community through the provision of support to the individuals we seek to support.

The ideal candidate will be committed to the achievement of Tadamon’s long-term goals and will be passionate about ensuring that our community members can access the resources they need and feel seen, heard and supported in doing so.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in carrying out casework with children, young adults, and vulnerable adults, including supporting and safeguarding individuals with complex needs.

Location: This role is based in Redbridge. The service is a short walk from Gants Hill Underground Station. The area is also served by multiple bus routes, including 114, 121, 128, 150, and 272, offering direct local and regional connections for staff commuting to the service. Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday 20:30 - 08:30. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements, which includes weekends and bank holidays which form part of your rota

About the Role

We’re looking for a Night Engagement Worker to join the team in Redbridge. You will support within the Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation to support in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. The service delivers support for people in the criminal justice system who are deemed high risk, and likely to meet criteria for personality disorder. Penrose OPD HASS service offers specialist accommodation to people with high risk/high needs and require intensive support to overcome barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living in the community.

You will assist with those who have recently been released from prison, secure health settings, or are transitioning from Approved Premises. Your role will involve supporting all aspects of key engagement activities, aiding their rehabilitation, reablement, and reintegration into society by providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions, that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with substance misuse, helping them take positive steps forward.
• Creating one to one person centred support plans to support residents in achieving their goals.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times during the shift, including regular check ins and carrying our protocols.
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities during the evening which may include movie nights and games nights.
• Lone working is part of the role, but you’ll always have a supportive team around.
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.

About You

In this role, you will take a leading position within a dynamic mental health crisis and early‑intervention service, managing a diverse caseload while providing skilled de‑escalation, robust risk assessment and coordinated multi‑agency support. You will guide and empower service users to engage with community services, while also offering day‑to‑day leadership to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice. Acting as shift lead when required, you will make informed, real‑time decisions to maintain safe and effective service delivery. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Area Manager to monitor performance, contribute to audits and quality reviews, and drive ongoing service development. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

Ealing MHCA is a drop‑in mental health crisis support service for anyone in Ealing aged 18 and over who is experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress. The service provides a safe, calm, and welcoming space where individuals can receive immediate support without needing to attend A&E. Our aim is to reduce distress, help people feel heard, and support them to regain stability in the moment.

Visitors can access one‑to‑one emotional support, help creating short‑ and long‑term safety plans, guidance and signposting to other relevant services, and access to refreshments. The service may also offer group activities, such as peer support sessions, creative groups, or wellbeing‑focused activities, which create opportunities for connection, expression, and recovery in a supportive environment.

Please note that this role is an out‑of‑hours position, and you will be expected to work between 2pm and 10pm on a rota, including weekends

The role requires the ability to work confidently with statutory services, alongside excellent listening skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities. Candidates should demonstrate effective partnership‑building skills with both statutory and voluntary/community sector organisations, as well as experience in risk assessment, case management, and working under pressure in a dynamic environment. Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time‑management skills are essential, alongside good IT proficiency—including MS Word, Outlook, and internet use—and solid literacy and numeracy skills. A good understanding of recovery tools, local mental health and wellbeing services, and safeguarding principles is also required, with the ability to address safeguarding concerns appropriately.

The service provides an 11-bed short stay, trauma informed alternative to hospital admission and facilities, part of a wider integrated initiative for urgent and emergency care. You will support our residents who are at risk of admission but can be supported outside of mental health hospital settings, by providing tailored support to them to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals, to live more fulfilled lives and independent living. 

With a focus on achieving outcomes in line with contractual requirements, while ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma informed, psychologically informed environment. You will deliver flexible, tailored, person centred support to help residents improve their quality of life, overcome challenges, and achieve personal goals. Using your communication skills, you will build trusting professional relationships, support residents to reintegrate into the community, and play a vital role in helping them rebuild their lives through personalised support plans, activities, and partnership working.

About the role

As a Coach in the Structured Coaching Team, you will be the lead worker for people who engage well with the service and are able to work with you to develop and follow a personalised plan to end their homelessness. You will work collaboratively across departments to support Crisis' mission to end homelessness by delivering services that are person-centred, sensitive and responsive to the diverse needs of Crisis Members. You will understand and promote the importance of evidencing our impact in preventing and ending homelessness. Also evidencing the barriers faced by members to directly inform our Policy and Campaigns strategies, using the Crisis Member Achievement and Progression System (MAPS) and case management standards.

About you

You will as part of the Crisis team, make and maintain collaborative, consistent relationships with our members, staff, volunteers and other organisations.

You will have:

• Knowledge of relevant sector, e.g., housing, homelessness, and welfare legislation.
• An understanding of psychologically informed approaches when working with people who have experienced complex trauma and marginalised individuals.

• Effectively manage your own workload, including a varied caseload, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities, exercise judgment under pressure and balance competing demands.

About Us: Richmond Borough Mind has been delivering mental health support to people and their carers in the local community for over 65 years, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our Emotional Wellbeing Service.

The Role: The Emotional Wellbeing Service (EWS) provides support to those experiencing and recovering from mental ill health. The Senior Support Worker plays a key role in delivering high-quality, strengths-based emotional wellbeing and prevention services for adults across Richmond. The role supports individuals to build resilience, improve wellbeing, reduce crisis and achieve personal outcomes through strengths-based assessment, personalised support planning, risk management and trauma-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide structured 1:1 and group-based emotional wellbeing support in line with strengths-based and recovery-focused principles.

· Complete trauma-informed, strengths-based assessments and co-produce personalised support plans within specified timescales.

· Deliver flexible support in the community venues, homes, online and by phone to maximise accessibility.

· Use evidence-based tools (e.g. solution-focussed scaling, WEMWEBS) to support and measure progress.

· Support clients of the service to build coping strategies, independence, social connection and community participation.

· Provide support to individuals experiencing distress, escalation or early crisis, using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches.

About You: The successful candidate will have experience of delivering 1:1 support in the community and within people’s homes as well as delivering group-based intervention.
