Interview day will be held at Sidcup HQ on 5th July and all candidates must be available to attend. Candidates must be able to complete E-learning and be prepared to travel into London for training courses

Must be able to commit to working with Youth members aged 5-18 years of age and attend on a regular basis to help support them on unit meeting nights. The available nights we have are below and will be available to discuss on interview day. Mondays 5pm-8pm at Erith Vets club Wednesday 6pm-9pm at Sidcup HQ Thursdays 6pm-9pm at St Michaels church welling.

Our vibrant Badger Sett meets each Tuesday evening from 6.15 pm to 7.15 pm. We understand that a weekly commitment is sometimes difficult, so many of our units operate a rota system. We are therefore happy to hear from anyone looking for flexibility, too.

We are recruiting for the following locations; Grays, Castlepoint, Leigh, Rochford, Basildon, Maldon, Chelmsford, Harlow, Saffron Walden, Braintree, Manningtree, Colchester and Clacton.

We do not have a fixed closing date, but we may pause recruitment if we become oversubscribed - so if you want to pursue this, please do not delay! If you are not already a St John Ambulance volunteer, after getting some brief details we will first invite you to an interview with our Welcome Team. When pursuing this role, we will check you meet the minimum criteria and then invite you to a Youth Team interview, after which we'll be able to tell you if you've been accepted for this role.

Urban Youth is looking for a dedicated and proactive Youth Programme Manager or Youth Work Lead to join our team as a volunteer. In this role, you’ll help shape and oversee the delivery of engaging, meaningful youth programmes that inspire and uplift young people across London, including virtual/remote/online and satellite services, as well as outreach, detached youth work and centre based activities.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and Manage our Youth Services, by overseeing the planning and delivery of youth programmes, ensuring activities run smoothly and meet the needs of young people within the community.

• Support Young People, by building strong relationships with young people, acting as a key point of contact for their feedback and supporting their personal development.

• Collaborate with our Teams, by working closely with our volunteers, mentors, and other team members to ensure the effective coordination of services. This includes sourcing, mentoring and managing volunteers.

• Promote Engagement, by developing strategies to encourage young people to participate in Urban Youth’s activities, fostering inclusivity and belonging.

• Monitor and Evaluate, by tracking the success of programmes, collecting feedback to continuously improve the quality and impact of our services.

• Build Partnerships, by engaging with local schools, community organisations, and other stakeholders to expand our reach and enhance service delivery. This includes satelite services with other charities and orgnaisations.
