This is a new and exciting role that will build and develop relationships with churches and individuals, to secure significant income, and bring in frequent and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns, as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising. We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives, by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement, and fulfilling fundraising operational duties such as ensuring that we have a database that is organised, up to date and fit for purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop deliver and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan's supporters.
- Assist with setting up our CRM database, developing and maintaining it to ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark.
- Management of a part time Partnerships Manager with responsibility.
Essential Requirements:
- 3 years charity fundraising experience or evidence of very relatable experience.
- Experience / understanding of fundraising campaigns.
- Experience working on either eTapestry, Raisers Edge, Salesforce or Donorfy CRM systems.
- Ability to connect and network with a wide range of people through a broad variety of communication methods.
- A good level of general education including GCSE Maths and English plus A-levels or equivalent.

Over the last five years, we have grown steadily, with our research and intelligence work exposing and undermining the far right, even foiling a murder plot, our community engagement providing expertise to vulnerable communities and our work in schools growing to teach young people to recognise and challenge prejudice and hate.
About the role
The Community Outreach Officer will deliver on helping the communities susceptible to the far right. As part of the policy team, they will have access to research and policy insights on the issues which are causing tension and divisions in communities and where these tensions are most acute, and use this to devise locally-led solutions in partnership with key figures in the community and relevant sectors.
They will have experience in community organising, whether through employment or voluntary work, and use this experience to develop an organisational strategy for addressing far-right organising and hate-based community tensions. Part of the strategy will include a plan to extend and deepen HOPE not hate’s existing relationships in key areas across the UK. It will also involve designing and publicising resources, developing and delivering training and writing regular briefings.
Willingness to work with a variety of stakeholders is important. The role will include liaising with local authorities, national and local organisations and grassroots community activists to build and facilitate the design of locally-led community resilience strategies. There will also be access to our existing networks and relationships across relevant sectors e.g. migration and refugee sector, community cohesion and local authorities. An understanding that communities and community groups are the experts on their own needs is crucial – solutions should be developed with, not for, those most impacted.

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change.
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism.
In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom.
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO.
Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. Grant management
- Act as the first point of contact for grants to organisations.

Job Purpose
Money Minded is a new service designed to support adults (18 years and over) in Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with the West London NHS Mental Health Teams, operating within the tri-borough area.
The service provides support with welfare benefits, accessing debt support, housing and well-being. The role of the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be to provide advice, guidance and customer representation to tri-borough residents living with Mental Health difficulties. Advice issues may include housing, welfare benefits, council tax, accessing debt support, signposting etc.
The successful candidate will deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals, as agreed with the Service Manager. In addition to advice casework, the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will also be expected to assist onboarding referrals to the service, as and when needed.
The successful candidate will work closely with the West London NHS Mental Health teams and project volunteers, ensuring adherence to the Advice Quality Standard framework (AQS) and Mind's policies and procedures.
Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed, prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.

Place of Work
The Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be required to work within the West London NHS Mental Health team offices.

The position:
You will manage our Volunteer team, requiring exceptional communication, a natural affinity for people management and organisation, and an ability to inspire people to get involved with our work. You will be responsible for the overarching strategy and success of the Volunteer Program.
Line managing two members of staff, you will ensure our Volunteer team sets and meets their strategic goals, contributing to our organisational priorities. Hours:
This is a temporary 12 month maternity cover, full-time position over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.
Who you are:
Volunteers will be your passion. You’ll have a deep understanding of the importance of this kind of supporter and how to best steward their specific experience and manage their unique needs. You'll understand how to best manage and recruit volunteers, mobilising our UK wide network effectively both remotely and on the ground in order to create change. You’ll know how to best communicate and engage with them in order to make the most out of their time and efforts.
