As an HR Business Partner, you will:

• Work in partnership with Coram group leadership team and stakeholders to help shape, develop and deliver solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the organisation.
• Provide expert and professional advice and support to all staff and managers, ensuring all feel included, engaged, comfortable and equipped to fulfil their role.
• Drive organisation results and increase colleague engagement, by working with senior partners across the Coram group in support of the people and strategy/business plan
• Keep the organisation safe by identifying and managing risk.
• Work with the wider Human Resources (HR) team to develop and implement specific HR projects and policies linked with the people strategy.

What we are looking for:

• CIPD Qualified or qualified by experience with evidence of proactive CPD
• Experience of delivering solution focused professional HR generalist advice underpinned by up-to-date knowledge of legislation
• Ability to manage numerous projects across Business Units with conflicting deadlines and to prioritise workload accordingly
• Be skilled at working with data, drawing insight from analytics including HR systems; ability to run reports, manipulate data, and analyse information
• Proven experience of influencing and coaching managers through a wide range of employee relations issues
• Experience of managing change - redundancy, TUPE and culture.

Natural Heritage Officer (Inverbroom)

We’re looking for a committed Natural Heritage Officer to help protect and enhance our natural environment for future generations. As a Natural Heritage Officer you will be in a unique position to support the planning and delivery of nature conservation works, including securing a baseline understanding of natural heritage across our newest and largest wildlife reserve. 

About the Role 

You will work closely with the project team, the post holder will undertake practical conservation and reserve management tasks, carrying out standardised reserve checks (including access infrastructure and fence surveys and tree safety inspections) and delivering remedial works either directly or with contractors when appropriate. The role will also develop and deliver public engagement activities and volunteering opportunities such as volunteer work parties and citizen science events, to connect people with Inverbroom’s natural heritage.. 

About You 

You’ll bring: 

· Relevant degree or N/SVQ Level 3 / 4 or equivalent demonstrable experience relating to countryside management. 

· Certification to NPTC/Lantra standards and experience in chainsaw maintenance, cross cutting and felling small trees. CS 30 and 31 or willingness to undergo qualification. • Certification to NPTC/Lantra standards and experience in strimmer and brushcutter operations or willingness to undergo qualification. Certificate for trailer, all-terrain vehicles or willingness to undergo qualification. 

· 2 years of planning and delivering practical conservation work. 

· 2 years of volunteer supervision & management, including designing and delivering events &/or activities. 

· Demonstrable experience in the safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools. 

· Good understanding of land management for wildlife conservation. 

· Good natural history skills and a knowledge of the species and habitats found in Scotland. 

· Health & Safety legislation/procedures relating to outdoor working.

We are The Bike Project, a charity that collects second-hand bikes, refurbishes them and donates them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. That brings better health, freedom and independence to people rebuilding their lives in the UK. That’s vital when many are living on less than £10 a week.

A bike links people to essential services, including foodbanks and legal advice, as well as the local community. 

About Us

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees.  We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of 20 committed staff, roadshows in different cities, an online shop and two workshops, one in the capital and one in Birmingham.

To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

Duites and Responsibilities

This role oversees the securing and reporting of our Trusts and Foundation income, including working closely with colleagues to develop relevant, impactful and deliverable funding proposals and coordinate the stewardship of key trust and foundation relationships.

The role works closely with all colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to income generation across the charity and our different supporter groups. 

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in preparing and submitting successful funding applications and proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, with a track record of securing five and six figure gifts, ideally within the refugee’s sector. You will have experience of working with, and applying for funding from, some of the larger grant organisations.

You will be experienced in identifying suitable prospects, developing pipelines, and managing funder relationships, adopting a strategic approach when working with colleagues across the organisation.

Location

This is a hybrid role, working from home with one day per week in either our London or Birmingham office. The salary is £42,000 for Birmingham-based employees and £45,000 for London-based employees, reflecting the London Living Wage adjustment

Fundraising & Income Generation

· Develop and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and activities for community groups, individuals, and businesses to support our shared mission

About the role:  

We are looking for a very confident, outgoing go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in influencing organisations, businesses and groups or individuals to organise range of fundraising events, such as gaming, auctions, quizzes, gigs. You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and working with an Events and Engagement Officer.

This is a critical role for generating essential funds for the charity. You will love a challenge and be goal orientated. It is a varied role, and you will be someone who loves to multitask; you may be emailing supporters or potential fundraisers, making action plans, promoting, contacting organisations, or attending and speaking at events. You will thrive in this role if you love being organised and doing admin, but love being “out and about” interacting, influencing and motivating people to fundraise for us. Please note that you will need to carry, load up and set-up event materials from our office to events, often on your own. It is essential you have access to transport and must have a full, clean driving licence. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Support and steward existing fundraisers and supporters, helping them maximise their impact by generating income/ donations through organising their own events

• Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention at events, delivering talks and building awareness to attract new donors, supporters and sign-ups to our challenge events

• Assist with multiple administrative tasks, such as inputting data into our CRM, check fundraising activities by participants on Just Giving and other activities ensure fundraising targets are being met and the smooth running and of our fundraising team and events 

• Be in commutable distance of Brighton, so you can come into the head office when required to send out merchandise, collect marketing collateral (including banners, posters, leaflets) to take to events. 

To be successful in this role, you must be responsive, extremely organised, have attention to detail, be able to meet deadlines, and passionate about seeing growth and progress in your work. You will be determind to exceed your KPIs such as recruitment of fundraisers who will reach their income targets.  You will be a dynamic, socially confident person, who excels at winning hearts and minds and thrives on tangible results.

Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance is a national, user-led charity run by and for people with muscle-weakening conditions. We empower adults with neuromuscular conditions to live fulfilling lives through peer support, information, advocacy, and co-produced research and campaigns. Our work brings together lived experience and academic insight to influence health, social care, and disability policy.

About the Role

We are seeking a Research Officer to support a series of user-led research projects exploring:

• Access to social care and support

• Healthcare access and inequalities

• Sexual health and relationships for people with neuromuscular conditions

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, lived-experience research that aims to improve quality of life and influence national policy and practice.

You will work closely with the CEO, Research Manager, and members of our lived experience research advisory group. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the research cycle — from design to dissemination — and will ensure that our research is ethical, inclusive, and grounded in co-production principles.

Key Responsibilities

Research Design & Ethics

• Support the design of research studies in collaboration with the lived experience team and academic partners.

• Support the preparation of ethics applications, participant information sheets, and consent materials.

• Develop interview schedules, focus group guides, and surveys.

Participant Engagement

• Recruit participants through Pathfinders’ network, social media, and partner organisations.

• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in participant communication and data collection.

• Support co-production activities (e.g., advisory groups, workshops, testing materials).

Data Collection & Analysis

• Conduct qualitative interviews and/or focus groups with participants.

• Support data transcription, coding, and thematic analysis (using NVivo or similar).

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and data management systems.

Reporting & Dissemination

• Contribute to research reports, briefings, and peer-reviewed papers.

• Present findings to internal and external audiences, including at conferences or stakeholder meetings.

• Work with communications staff to translate research findings into accessible outputs for our community and policymakers.

Collaboration & Co-Production

• Embed lived experience leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

• Liaise with academic partners and other charities to strengthen our research and advocacy work.

• Contribute to a culture of inclusive, ethical, and participatory research practice.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience managing or delivering a research project from start to finish (e.g., Master’s dissertation, PhD, or equivalent applied research).

• Strong understanding of qualitative research methods (interviews, focus groups, thematic analysis).

• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.

• Commitment to co-production, lived experience leadership, and inclusive research practices.

• Awareness of issues affecting disabled people and/or people with long-term conditions.

Desirable

• Lived experience of disability, chronic illness, or neuromuscular conditions. Applications will be prioritised where they meet this criteria.

• Experience of working with disabled people or people with neuromuscular or muscle-weakening conditions.

• Familiarity with ethical approval processes (university or NHS).

• Experience with NVivo or similar qualitative analysis software.

• Experience working in a small charity or community-based research context.

Power 2 - Wolverhampton City Council Key Worker Service 

Barnardo's is looking to fill a full time Project Worker 2 post, for 37 hours per week.

Work base: - Graiseley Family Hub, Pool Street, Wolverhampton, WV2 4NE.

 

The primary aims of the team are to work with 11-25yr olds to help them to exert more positive control over their lives and to live safely as they progress towards adulthood.  The team is a multi-disciplinary team with a diverse skill set.

You will work with young people who are at risk of gang exploitation; child sexual exploitation; substance misuse; criminal or anti-social behaviour; those who have been excluded from school or violent towards other people in the home, or those who have been subject to missing episodes.

 

The project aims to make a positive contribution to the Council's wider aims by helping to minimise and manage the risks posed by young people engaging in activities related to drugs, alcohol, child sexual exploitation, criminal behaviour, gangs, radicalisation, and to prevent young people from coming into care, by supporting them to live safely with their families.

 

The worker will be co-located within Wolverhampton Children's Services as a key worker within a multi-disciplinary team. There are a team of 5 key workers currently, including a further 2 Barnardos Project workers. They will use WCC systems (recording, policy, management) alongside employment and line management support from Barnardo's.

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

· To assess the needs of children and young people on an individual basis about their experiences of domestic abuse and provide appropriate individual support.

· To deliver and support the dedicated Advocacy Service for children and young people to enable them to express their views on matters important to them and issues which affect their lives

· To provide independent and confidential advocacy to support children and young people experiencing domestic abuse

· Increase community awareness and dialogue around domestic abuse to reduce stigma and promote a culture of support and prevention.

· Focus on breaking the cycle of abuse by offering targeted programs for children exposed to domestic abuse, providing them with the skills and support needed to overcome trauma and achieve their potential.

· Deliver age-appropriate workshops on topics such as healthy relationships, emotional resilience, and conflict resolution, equipping individuals with the tools to avoid abusive situations.

· To work in conjunction with adult support workers to assess the whole family and to provide appropriate support to adult survivors and their children.

· To develop and deliver a programme of activities and events to assist children in overcoming the negative effects of domestic abuse.

·  To act as an advocate for children, attending school, court and child protection case conferences where required.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out-of-hours service on a rota basis.

It is essential that the post holder has a driving license and access to a car for work purposes.

The Role

As an Estates Support Officer, you will maintain and co-ordinate the day-to-day administrative and financial operations that support the management of our diverse and high-profile property portfolio.

Specifically, you will help keep the estates database accurate and up to date, managing the Estates mailbox as the first point of contact for property-related enquiries, and providing vital support to Estate Managers in the co-ordination of leases, licences and financial procedures.

In addition, you’ll monitor and report on workflow progression, oversee rent collection and financial commitments, and work closely with the Finance team to support invoicing processes and annual reporting requirements.

Additionally, you will:

• Co-ordinate documentation and track compliance with internal property procedures
• Prepare meeting documentation, take minutes, and follow up on actions
• Process ad hoc licences and distribute property-related correspondence
• Support income forecasting and assist with budget preparation
• Maintain the team’s Risk Register and ensure mitigation actions are reviewed regularly
• Represent the Estates team in internal forums and support stakeholder communications

About You

To be considered as an Estates Support Officer, you will need:

• A strong administrative background with experience in estates/property or finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management systems, and finance systems
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving, data and record management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong report writing, mathematical and analytical skills
• A Level 3 qualification or above in Business Administration, Property Management, Finance or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
