Conservation Collective (CC) funds solutions to protect the environment, restore nature, and safeguard against climate change. The CC UK charity incubates, launches, and supports locally focused foundations, which open new funding channels to support the most impactful environmental grassroots projects. Our network comprises 20 members based all over the world and is growing.

We manage and monitor our donor relations, grant giving governance, contacts, and event activities, via a bespoke and customised salesforce system. This was launched in September 2021, and has been developed and configured to meet our growing needs since then. As the demand for our model increases around the world, we need a highly capable systems specialist to support us to ensure our data systems are well managed, users are trained, and we can create accurate reports for our donors and other audiences. The role will report to the Finance Director and will work closely with the rest of the team. This is a critical role that is central to the success of building a robust organisation, and there is opportunity for an ambitious candidate to grow in responsibility with it.

Key Responsibilities:

 Oversee Salesforce System: maintenance, training, development, and reporting

 Maintenance

· Ensure key objects on Salesforce such as accounts, contacts, campaigns and grants are working effectively (ensure process flows work well).

· Maintain reliable records in all objects on Salesforce by eliminating duplicates monthly, processing user deletion requests and updating records for lists with up-to-date information on key stakeholders (e.g. trustees, contractors etc).

· Weekly data back-ups.

· Uploading ad-hoc batch data from Campaigns e.g. Just Giving or historical data into Opportunities.

· Ensure regular data cleaning to enhance the credibility and adoption of the system. Spot trends with issues and feedback into system development or training.

· Oversee data governance log: maintaining log of changes to review with the team, discussing effect on budget and system usage to inform decision making.

 Training and support

· Oversee user set ups, create new user profiles, and share best practices according to GDPR practices.

· Oversee smooth onboarding and training process for new members to ensure effective adoption.

· Keep training materials related to key objects updated, host internal webinars to address new feature introductions or common issues to troubleshoot.

· Promptly troubleshoot any user issues and feeding these into training to prevent it happening again.

· Respond to individual questions from users on Slack and share tips and tricks.

 Automations and Development

· Manage the integration of Form Assembly, ensuring all connectors work well and troubleshoot and update individual forms when needed.

· Support users with the building of individual Form Assembly forms, updating when needed (ad hoc) and embedding them in their websites.

· Perform developments such as creating new fields, updating picklist values, page layouts, forms, automation configuration, formula fields, and other content. Work with core team to assess where a development is foundation specific, and where it should be applied across all users.

· Act as key point of contact with our external Salesforce consultants on any requests of flow maintenance or improvements and monitoring effective use of credits and budgets.

 Reporting

· Build reports and dashboards for each key Object – spot trends and suggest improvements.

o Opportunities - pipeline and income reports for board meetings

o Grants - tracker and applications analysis, extraction of impact data for evaluation purposes

· Provide quarterly diagnoses of user adoption levels across the network.

· Work with exec director to prepare quarterly data for trustee meeting and annual reports.

Manage IT systems with the support of an outsourced consultant

 · Act as a key point of contact with our outsourced IT company, overseeing the creation of new users and managing the leavers’ processes.

• Ensure MS365 systems are working effectively for current users, and troubleshoot issues as a first point of contact before liaising with outsourced providers.

· Maintain an up to date ‘how to guide’ for our intranet, ensuring all users know how to use it and find what they need.

· Recommend Cyber Security improvements.

· Procure IT equipment for team with support of external consultant.

· Maintain an up-to-date list of active users, MS 365 licenses and Antivirus license protection.

· Oversee the IT budget by approving expenses on a regular basis.

· To manage website domains – purchasing new ones on request, performing updates or providing access to web designers.

Essential criteria:

· Understanding of and experience in Salesforce User Management

· Knowledge/skills in improving business processes, overseeing testing; identifying and implementing systems enhancements.

JUSTICE is looking for an outstanding criminal lawyer, for a full-time fixed term 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal, subject to funding. This provides an exciting opportunity for a practising lawyer with a strong research background or academic lawyers keen to engage in high-level policy and law reform work.

We are looking for a lawyer mainly interested in criminal justice, as well as in cross-cutting issues affecting the functioning of the justice system (current cross-cutting projects include work on the state of the rule of law in the UK and AI, human rights, and the law).

JUSTICE is at the forefront of work promoting access to a fair criminal justice system for all. The successful candidate will be building on our recent work on racial injustice in the youth criminal justice system and post-conviction decision making, including the parole system and administrative decision-making in prisons, as well as our cross-cutting workstream on the state of the rule of law in the UK. They will also be scoping and setting up a new criminal justice project relating to fraud.

We would like to recruit a bright, motivated person who is passionate about criminal justice system reform, and the promotion of access to justice and fair trial. With excellent interpersonal skills, they will be able to work closely with JUSTICE members, who include senior figures in the legal profession. About the role

The Events Officer plays a key role in our highly effective communications team, leading on the delivery of an impactful programme of events – both online and in person. The role works with teams from across the organisation to plan, deliver and promote all types of events, including workshops, roundtables, conferences, webinars, receptions and other types of online and in person events.

Events are an important way for Ageing Better to influence priority audiences, including businesses and local and national government, and the postholder will advise teams on how events can best reach these audiences, encourage engagement and lead to lasting relationships.

This role sits within the Communications team, and the postholder will be responsible for drafting comms content, such as blogs and social media posts, particularly in relation to event promotion.

We're the charity who look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of waterways across England and Wales, because we believe that life is better by water. Every role across the Trust plays its part in transforming our canals and rivers into spaces where local people want to spend time and feel better, bringing wellbeing benefits to millions.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to join our Environment and Climate action team within the S&I Directorate and is responsible for delivering the Trust’s strategy and policy on all environment and climate related sustainability issues, including environmental compliance as a minimum, improvement of our protected sites and achieving a net gain in biodiversity across our canal network.

The Ecologist will be responsible for providing professional technical input into the Trust’s strategic activities around nature recovery. This includes collecting and analysing information and data to support a long-term action plan to move more of our protected sites towards favourable condition and support projects that increase biodiversity and the abundance of protected species across the network.

The Canal & River Trust is in an ideal position, as a large landowner with blue and green corridors connecting habitats across the landscape, to carry out environmental enhancements using our local volunteer workforce to ensure that we improve habitats and support biodiversity. Planting the right trees in the right places, reconnecting old hedgerows and restoring or creating wildflower meadows and linear species-rich grasslands to provide a safe haven for wildlife and a destination for people to retreat to from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Reconnecting people with the nature on their doorstep and offering them opportunities to get involved in looking after ‘their patch’ through guided walks and talks.

Our aim is to support the work of the Trust as a whole, while conserving and enhancing the environment of the inland waterway network. Finding simple and innovative solutions/methods of work to ensure that the modern-day use of the waterways, their historical importance, the Trust’s legal obligations and strategic priorities are met through sustainable development, conservation and enhancement of the natural environment.

Location

The role will be based working from home, with the expectation to attend main regional hubs either at Milton Keynes, Birmingham, or Little Venice (Paddington), for collaborative working. This is a national role, requiring collaboration with teams in all six of the Trust’s regions. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be able travel to attend meetings or fieldwork throughout the regional waterway network.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key accountabilities:

• Provide ecological technical advice as requested. This includes input into Trust EMS standards and tools and nature recovery projects.
• Contribute to the Trust’s Nature Recovery Strategy and associated sustainability initiatives, with a view to increasing biodiversity across the Trust’s network
• Contribute to national programmes of engagement with customers, volunteers, stakeholders and the general public to promote the value of waterways and the work of the Trust to increase the Trust’s reputation and influence and secure additional resources for our work, focusing on our key sustainability priorities.
• Work with regional ecology teams to implement relevant inspection/monitoring and maintenance programmes for environmental/soft estate assets within their geographical remit, (re-)prioritising work to suit available resources and within delegated authority levels.
• Contribute to the implementation of an environmental management system (EMS; including associated processes & standards) especially with responsibility for monitoring national uptake
• Collaboration with regional teams to maintain ecology and nature recovery performance data (e.g. GIS layers, ecological baseline and species location data)
• Assist in the development of environmental training & competency
• Contribute to corporate targets on raising public awareness of and support for the Trust especially through interest in our environmental assets.
• Contribute to external engagement and fundraising nationally to secure additional resources for the Trust, especially through interest in our environmental assets

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. We are hiring a Finance and Grants Assistant to support financial and grants operations processes. Responsibilities include participating in the operational and administrative activities of the finance function, leading to the accurate recording of financial information for accounting purposes, as well as managing financial records, and supporting our grant-making processes.

• Successfully complete daily and weekly finance and grants tasks, successfully managing the finance and grants email inboxes and be confident answering questions and resolving queries.

Responsibilities of the role

Finance – approx. 40%

Day-to-day financial management of the charity and its Trading subsidiary including, but not limited to:

• Process all day-to-day transactions on the finance system, Xero, including income received from fundraising platforms, ensuring a full audit trail of data processing.

• Complete daily bank reconciliations for all entities, including recording and banking cheques and processing petty cash.

• Raise sales invoices as requested, following procedures to set up in customer systems, and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.

• Process purchase invoices and expense claims, ensuring appropriate authorisation, in line with delegated authorisations.  

• Set up weekly payment runs for approval by the Head of Finance.

• Monitor all financial processes, ensuring finance policies are complied with and deadlines are met, including electronic and physical filing of finance and legal documents.

• Complete month end tasks, enabling to the Head of Finance to close the month, including selected balance sheet reconciliations.

• Keep Gift Aid records up-to-date and assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of Gift Aid claims.

• Assist with the year-end audit, ensuring all relevant paperwork is tidily filed.

• Collaborating with the fundraising team, exploring fundraising and donation collection mechanics, identify new developments in the sector and helping to embed any system changes.

• Train and support the charity team on the charity’s finance processes.

• Provide cover for the Governance & Team Co-ordinator in periods of absence.

Grants – approx. 60%

• Support the Grants Team to process charity applications for funding, including communicating with interested parties, summarising applications, compiling relevant information, conducting research as required and helping to organise related meetings and Grants Panels.

• Preparing and processing funding agreements, reporting forms and other associated paperwork for grants.

• Working with charities to collect and develop storytelling information such as quotes, pictures and case studies, and support sourcing participants and contributors for radio interviews and other editorial pieces as needed.

• Supporting the team in the organisation, planning and delivery of our skills training programme for charities.

• Writing copy for our website and newsletters, and ownership of our communication planner for our charities.

• Managing the Grants Team inbox and being the first point of call for queries.

• Leading on the management of data and uploading of information on our database (Salesforce), complying with GDPR requirements.

• General administrative tasks across the both the Grants and wider charities team, undertaking adhoc projects and supporting initiatives and events as requested.

• Assisting the Grants Managers in all administrative aspects of support.

• Provide cover for the Governance & Team Co-ordinator in periods of absence.

• Strong A-Level results (or equivalent)  and/ or relevant degree / or relevant experience
