The postholder will be responsible for all areas of trusts and grants fundraising, including writing compelling applications that solicit funding for Life’s vital work as well as reporting on our service delivery outcomes, maximising the opportunities for renewed funding. 

The Philanthropy Manager (Trusts, Grants and Foundations) will be responsible for delivering a strategic approach to trusts, grants and foundations; working with service delivery areas of the organisation as well as the finance department, in order to create compelling projects, with measurable outcomes that can be reported on. The postholder will be able to articulate these projects into cases for support within written applications, matching projects with appropriate funders and delivering a compelling ask. This role requires the development of a trusts, grants and foundations pipeline, from research through to reporting, ensuring a sustainable and maximised income stream.

Elders Voice is a local charity serving older people in Brent. We are recruiting a CEO to lead our talented and experienced staff team through a period of change to ensure our financial security.

In this difficult economic environment, we need to explore new funding opportunities and transition away from a reliance on local authority funding.

You will report directly to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and be supported by the board and a small, dedicated staff team.

Provide technical support and quality assurance to RedR UK Programmes Team, ensuring high-quality, relevant, appropriate, and high impact services to RedR UK beneficiaries and donors.

This position works closely with the members of the Learning and Development Team, as well as working in a support role with members of the Programmes Team to deliver quality learning and development programming. The Learning and Development Coordinator also works in partnership with external partners, including members of RedR’s Associate Trainer network, as well as other RedR organisations, partners and clients.

ABOUT THIS ROLE 

The Learning and Development Coordinator is an essential role within the Learning and Development Team and the Programmes Team more generally. The staff will closely work and coordinate with other members of the L&D Team as well as Programme Managers, Coordinators and Officers, Associate Trainers and Consultants, etc. The L&D Coordinator designs and adapts RedR UK training materials as well as providing technical L&D support and quality assurance to the broader Programmes Team. In particular, this role will focus on building and strengthening RedR UK’s self-paced eLearning offerings. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

Ensure that the quality of our L&D services and material is maintained, improved and expanded: 

• Contribute to guiding, standardising and quality assuring the conversion of learning/training material, content and courses or course modules to e-learning 
• Contribute to updating, maintaining and expanding RedR UK L&D and training material and resources, store & categorise them, and make them accessible
• Contribute to the update and maintenance of RedR UK’s e-learning and open-source learning platforms
• Provide quality assurance of project outputs or deliverables and assist in drafting high quality reports
• Contribute to the development or updating of RedR UK’s L&D and eLearning strategies 

Support the delivery of RedR UK's demand-led services to a consistently high standard: 

• Provide an end-to-end service - designing, supporting, quality assuring and evaluating the delivery of learning interventions, including developing new training and capacity development services (F2F, online facilitated and eLearning), particularly in connection with RedR UK’s self-paced eLearning offerings 
• Coordinate with the L&D team on planning and scheduling of L&D activities and liaise with colleagues across RedR UK to ensure uniform high quality of services 
• Where appropriate, design and/or deliver learning/training services directly to the participants 
• Where appropriate and agreed by line manager, lead the execution of selected projects, especially L&D projects 
• Assist in ensuring that necessary monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) data is gathered and analysed on all activities 

Support Network of Associate Trainers (ATs) and L&D Consultants to effectively deliver RedR UK's services: 

• Support the capacity building of ATs in L&D and technical Quality Assurance related matters, including introduction to RedR UK training methodologies, innovative training techniques, new training tools, etc. 
• Contribute to the recruitment, assessment and onboarding of prospective new Associate Trainers (ATs) into the trainer pool and/or on specific projects as required 
• Coordinate the work, performance, and planning of Associate Trainers when working under the L&D Unit. Quality-assure their work when working under Programmes Hubs 

Ensure that RedR UK services meet the needs of the sector and work to expand our reach: 

• Keep up to date with developments in learning with a focus on eLearning technologies and platforms, as well as other training methodologies and issues in the humanitarian sector and advise RedR UK programme teams accordingly 
• Contribute to identifying and exploring possibilities for expanding the range of services offered by the organisation and source funding for their implementation 
• Support business development efforts and proposal preparation by ensuring that the L&D component of the methodology is appropriate, services offered are in line with requirements, likely to achieve high impact and adding overall value to the programme 
• Represent RedR UK at selected external events and forums, as appropriate 
• Be the Key Account Manager (KAM) for selected Key Accounts (clients and partners) in line with RedR UK’s KAM System

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS 

Essential 

• Experience in design of self-paced and blended eLearning programmes, including experience with Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Vyond and other animation/design platforms including a strong understanding of accessibility requirements 
• Experience managing Learning Management Systems, especially Moodle 
• Experience and understanding of learning and development approaches, adult learning (andragogy) and participatory learning methodologies, including designing and conducting LNAs, designing, delivering and evaluating face-to-face and online facilitated events and revising/adapting training material
• Experience assessing learning, familiarity with the Kirkpatrick Model, and experience tracking, evaluating and reporting on learning data 
• Excellent people skills and experience in the coordination of consultants, including effective cross-cultural communication and strong inter-personal skills 
• Ability to influence, build and maintain networks and relationships, both externally and internally to achieve good results, representing RedR UK at a senior level to a high standard 
• Good workload management skills and ability to use initiative to solve problems

The Consortium for Street Children (CSC) is the only global organisation dedicated solely to achieving positive change for street children worldwide, working with 200+ members in 111 countries. Together with its members and partners, CSC advocates for the rights of street children from the streets to the corridors of power. It works to transform children’s lives on the streets through strengthening street social work practice, while also working with States and communities so that they meet their legal obligations to street-connected children as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the authoritative guidance provided in the CRC General Comment 21.

CSC is dedicated to ensuring that global policy commitments are translated into local action, leading to sustainable positive change for children in street situations. CSC is regarded as an expert in the sector and is judged to ‘punch above its weight’ relative to its size.

Purpose of role

CSC is seeking to recruit a new CEO who will lead, empower, and mobilise the organisation and its support to its network members, whilst securing sustainable funding and investment so CSC can deliver its mission. The CEO will be supported by a passionate and talented team of staff, an experienced Senior Management Team, and a fully supportive, engaged, and inspired Board of Trustees.

Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

Strategic planning and priority setting

· Provide leadership and guidance in the delivery of CSC’s 2024-2029 Strategy, defining priorities to secure sustainable funding and implement the organisation’s goals.

Resource mobilisation and sustainability

• As ‘chief fundraiser’ for the organisation, take the lead in strengthening the organisation’s fundraising strategy and income generation. Be actively involved in working with the staff team to bring in new income (restricted and unrestricted) by conceptualising the presentation of programme, advocacy, policy, and research work and developing customised approaches to donors. Ensure sustainable and diverse sources of income in the face of the current challenging fundraising environment.
• Work with our Development Board and other Trustees to engage with philanthropic and corporate foundations and high net worth individuals globally, attracting new donors and continuing to grow the organisation’s partnership base and international networks.
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with donors (United Nations agencies, foundations, multi-laterals, bi-laterals, corporate sector, and individuals) and partners to cultivate support for CSC through appropriate presence and communication.

Building CSC’s profile

• Protect and further strengthen CSC’s external brand, profile, and credibility as a thought leader in the field of child rights and child protection in relation to street connected children.
• Act as a champion and advocate for the organisation by representing the work of CSC and its positions at the highest levels externally and across the political spectrum and globally, including with the United Nations entities and agencies, regional bodies, national governments, and partners.
• Act as CSC’s key spokesperson publicly by writing, speaking and social media posting on issues related to the rights of street connected children.
• Support the ongoing development and implementation of a communication strategy to raise the profile of CSC as the global major leader on issues related to street connected children.
• Oversee clear, targeted, engaging, and inspirational communications on all platforms, targeted at segmented audiences (funders and potential funders, influencers, decision makers, potential allies, and network members) in line with CSC’s core values and positions.

Organisation and programme management

• Manage the work of CSC to ensure an effective organisation that is operating in line with its vision, aim and objectives.
• Ensure supportive staff development and good practice to maintain a positive working environment with regular performance appraisals and professional development plans.
• Work in partnership with the experienced programme staff in delivering the programme strategy. Provide supportive guidance to the team, including robust programme planning, measurement and evaluation, and reporting processes. Support the team in conceptualising the programmes to achieve new and sustainable funding.

Finance and operations

• Oversee and ensure CSC’s fiscal soundness and strength, effective operational and financial management, consolidating financial stability, efficiency, and impact.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, carefully balancing restricted donor funding and project delivery with a balanced budget for unrestricted funded activity.
• Ensure proper financial and procurement procedures are adhered to, in order to meet the highest standards of international donors, UK auditors and the UK Charity Commission.
• Oversee processes to ensure strong negotiations and contracting of all our restricted funded projects, including robust due diligence processes for our subgrantees and donor compliance with respect to cost recovery and other requirements.

Governance

• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the Board.
• Ensure the Board is fully supported in carrying out its role and responsibilities and that CSC is fully compliant with UK Charity Commission guidelines, Fundraising Regulator, and good practice for non-profits.
• Ensure the preparation and presentation of an annual workplan and budget for review and approval by the Board and present periodic updates of their implementation as well as of the overall financial status of the organisation.
• Work with the independent Board of Directors in the USA, providing information and assistance so that they can fulfil their potential at establishing a solid funding and advocacy base in the US for our mutual global aim of ensuring the respect, protection, and fulfilment of the rights of street children.

Profile

Experience and skillset

• A senior and experienced people leader, with a significant and demonstrable track record in an NGO or public body, of successfully building and maintaining high performing teams and a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Strong financial acumen with experience of income generation.
• A proven record in the cultivation of donors and success in raising funds in the child rights or human rights sector, including from foundations, bilaterals, multilaterals, corporates, and high-net-worth-individuals.
• Demonstrated experience and success in global partnership building, convening stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds and driving an organisation to act as a catalyst for social change.
• A skilled influencer with strong communication (oral and written) and ambassadorial skills.
• Experience of effective advocacy with both internal and external audiences.
• Demonstrable knowledge and credibility as a leader, particularly in the field of children’s services, child rights and/or child protection.

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The primary focus of this external-facing role is to ensure that Bond’s member organisations are deeply engaged across a wide-range of Bond services and activities.

Using an account management approach, you will thrive on seeking out, building and nurturing relationships with key job roles at every level within our member organisations, offering them regular support and advice on how to get the most out of their membership of Bond. 

As the first point of contact for Bond members, you will deliver outstanding customer service with a warm, helpful, and confident demeanour, lead meetings with members to understand their needs and identify engagement opportunities, and introduce members to Bond colleagues when appropriate. A firm grasp of the Member Value Proposition is essential, as is the ability to confidently and enthusiastically speak to all aspects of it when interacting with members.

Working alongside the membership and marketing manager, you will help to develop and implement strategies to retain existing members, using data (in Salesforce, our CRM) to inform and tailor our approach including identifying members with low activity or gaps in engagement. You will gather feedback and intel from members through surveys and other mechanisms so that we better understand how and why they value Bond and to identify potential new initiatives and services they may find useful. One of your responsibilities is member renewals (which is integrated with Salesforce), in which you will work with the Salesforce Adviser to ensure that the process is optimised and efficient. You will also regularly compose member emails and newsletters and contribute to Bond reporting and Board papers.

While the role sits in the Communications and Member Services team, it is integral across the organisation. • Coordinate the member renewals process including the communications schedule, automated reminders, reviewing fees and raising invoices.

Organisation Overview

CDS UK (the Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a psychotherapy service, established 25 years ago to provide assessment and long-term specialist outpatient treatment to people with dissociative disorders. Its patients have often suffered the most extreme forms of abuse over a long period, and represent one of the most vulnerable and complex client groups. CDS UK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and an Independent Provider to the NHS, and is subcontracted by NHS commissioning organisations nationally on a discretionary perpatient basis, where local mental health services are unable to provide appropriate treatment. CDS UK has a small core team of employees, mainly based around London, and a larger group of associate therapists, support workers and supervisors working throughout England and in Scotland. The organisation has seen steady growth in referrals over the past few years.

Job Summary

One of the key elements of the role will be to manage a caseload of referrals from receipt of referral through to submission of funding application and referral outcome. The postholder will be one of two people within CDS UK’s core team with responsibility for this. 

There will also be an allocations management function, involving matching new (and/or existing) patients with suitable clinical staff, usually from within CDS UK’s group of associates, but sometimes via the recruitment of new practitioners.

The role will include a range of other tasks key to the successful functioning and development of CDS UK. Amongst these are maintaining a log of, and costing where appropriate, allpotential service developments (from requests for training to submissions to funders), developing reporting from basic information systems, checking and sending of patient progress reports and monitoring of patient funding. They also include developing our outgoing communications – such as via our website – and helping to explore opportunities for developing our charitable arm.

As part of our small Business and Administrative Team, the role will encompass some ad hoc administrative tasks, and may require delegation of some tasks and/or some line management duties as required.

The post-holder will work on their own initiative and independently deal with issues of workload and problem-solving, becoming a specialist in their areas of work within an agreed period, supported with appropriate training if required. The role is responsible for promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people on our platform, being a consistent and reliable presence on the Shout platform, and advising Shout Supervisors on safeguarding actions and practise while raising and recording safeguarding issues as they arise. 

Key Responsibilities

• To act as an MHI Designated Safeguarding Officer.
• Contribute to developing and reviewing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
• Alongside the DSO, contribute to ensuring that everyone working or volunteering with or for children and young people at MHI, including the board of trustees, understands the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures and knows what to do if they have concerns about a child’s welfare
• Take a lead role in implementing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures: ensuring all safeguarding and child protection issues concerning children and young people who take part in MHI’s activities are responded to appropriately
• Take the lead on responding to information that may constitute a child protection concern, including a concern that an adult involved with MHI may present a risk to children or young people. This includes:
  • assessing and clarifying the information
  • calling in and recording all safeguarding issues as they arise.
