Title of Consultancy: Finance Consultant

Location: Sightsavers Bangladesh Country Office in Banani, Dhaka, operating during regular office hours (09:00 to 17:00, Sunday to Thursday), the consultant will require on occasion to travel within the country and abroad for supporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodical cash flow forecasts and monthly fund requests
• Review expenditures to ensure all supporting documents are attached to vouchers and correctly coded in SUN/UniFi
• Ensure month-end and project-end financial processes are completed on time
• Collect bank reconciliation certificates alongside financial reports from partners
• Finalise partner budgets, review periodic reports, and ensure accurate posting; monitor budget burn rates including partner projects
• Conduct financial monitoring of projects, including audits and oversight of partner organisations; carry out regular monitoring visits
• Support the Country Director and Finance & Support Services Manager (FSSM) in preparing project budgets and reforecasts as required
• Ensure timely preparation for project audits, including those involving partners
• Maintain finance records systematically in both hard and soft formats
• Conduct financial monitoring visits to partner organisations on a regular basis
• Verify partner project expenses against approved budgets and protocols
• Provide financial and logistical support as requested by partners or as needed
• Follow up on timely submission of financial reports from partners to Sightsavers
• Ensure proper financial monitoring of projects, including audits and financial management of partner organisations
• Support partners with budgetary control, revisions, and forecasts as needed
• Assist partners with regular budget variance analysis

Duration of the consultancy

The Finance Consultant will be engaged for a period of three and a half months, commencing in November 2025 and concluding in mid-February 2026. Any extension beyond this period will be subject to mutual agreement and dependent on project requirements.

Payment terms

The agreed budget for this consultancy will be discussed during the interview process. Consultants with a proven track record in the areas outlined will be engaged through an expression of interest process. Full details of the project, including the scope of work, expected outputs and deliverables, as well as budget information, are available in the attached Terms of Reference.

Consultant’s expertise

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Management, or Business Administration is desirable, though equivalent and relevant professional experience will be considered
• Experience working within reputable NGOs or INGOs
• Experience managing donor funds
• Experience in project accounting and working with partner organisations
• Strong skills in accounting data processing and financial report writing
• Knowledge of national tax and VAT regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Effective communication skills in both English and Bangla

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant to support the financial accounting and compliance functions of the College.

This is an important role within the Finance team, supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring the integrity of financial information, robust financial controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Financial Accountant and wider finance team, you will take responsibility for key accounting processes including payroll, tax, treasury management, and monthly financial reconciliations. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the integrity of financial systems and ensuring accurate, timely accounting entries and reconciliations

Essential skills and experience:

1. Advise and report to the Board, Chief Executive and SMT on all financial matters, including investments, reserves, financial forecasting and cashflow, financial performance and systems. 
2. Lead the financial planning for the organisation, including annual budgeting and re-forecasting as necessary and to prepare regular financial report, including management accounts, cashflow, and other reports as required by the Board, the SMT and budget holders. 
3. Provide financial information, advice and support, including training, which meets the needs of the Trustees, SMT and other staff within Pecan. In particular, work with service leads to provide all necessary financial budgeting input to funding bids and funding monitoring and reporting, ideally also upskilling the service leads in this area. 
4. Take responsibility for the day to day management and administration of the finance functions such as bank reconciliations, petty cash and donation records, accounts payables & receivables, VAT and gift aid claimed. 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

• Experience of working in a senior accounting role, including budget and financial policy formulation.
• A track record of preparing management accounts and other financial reports.
• Strong financial management skills and ability (including SORP).
• Entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. 
• Strong commitment to the goals, ethos, values, and vision of Pecan, including a belief in the important of all people of different backgrounds working together and respecting and valuing each other’s contributions.

Desirable knowledge/expertise

• Strong experience in using Xero Accounting Software.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the purchase ledger, including coding invoices, maintaining records for capital projects,and running payments
• Reconcile bank accounts, control accounts, and digital payment systems to ensure accuracy.

Job Specification

Essential

• Qualified or part-qualified AAT (or equivalent)

• Experience using Sage 50 or Xero.
• Experience in accounts preparation, including draft management accounts for charities.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role of 35 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. Some flexibility or hybrid working may be discussed at interview. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required, with time off in lieu offered for agreed additional hours.

Whitechapel Gallery is seeking a talented and hands-on Finance Business Partner (Accounts and Reporting) to bring clarity, insight and practical support to our financial reporting. In this role you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and integrity of our accounts while helping colleagues across the Gallery make confident financial decisions and deliver world-class exhibitions and programmes.

Working closely with the Director of Finance and departmental heads you will prepare monthly management accounts, consolidations and statutory returns and support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning. You will also play a key role in developing financial processes and systems, supporting funding applications and ensuring compliance with charity and donor requirements making a real impact on the smooth running and success of the Gallery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for Whitechapel Gallery and Whitechapel Gallery Ventures.
• Prepare monthly consolidated accounts, including income & expense reports, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data through monthly review of transactions and correct coding to nominals and departments.

The postholder will be overseeing the financial management team and overseeing the full budgeting and forecasting process. This role will involve working closely with budget holders to ensure a smooth operation of the financial management function as well as managing a team of qualified Accountants. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the Financial Management Team
• Managing the production of monthly and quarterly management accounting information to a variety of audiences, both regional and national
