The Role

As Executive Director, you will be the senior officer responsible for the strategic leadership, policy development, office and staff management, financial control, stakeholder relationships and Company Secretary duties. You will ensure delivery of annual work plans, contractual compliance and organisational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy, Research and Policy Development: Provide strategic direction, delivering CRER’s vision, aims and objectives; lead development and execution of strategy with staff and Board, setting policy, research and advocacy priorities.
• Governance and Operational Management: Act as Company Secretary; oversee OSCR compliance; support the Board’s duties through guidance and information; prepare annual budgets; ensure sound financial management; oversee management accounts and annual reports; maintain infrastructure and regulatory compliance; implement risk management; develop funding applications and tender responses.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Lead and line-manage a motivated team; maintain and apply the CRER Policies and Procedures Handbook consistently.
• Stakeholder Relations and Public Relations: Manage external relationships with BME organisations, third sector, government, funders, academia, and parliamentarians; represent CRER in strategic discussions, public events, media, and on social media platforms.
• Other Duties: Any additional tasks required for effective organisational functioning.

• Salary: £67,000 per annum
• Contract: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week)
• Location: Hybrid home/office (minimum three days per week in our Glasgow City Centre office, with occasional travel across Scotland). Support with required relocation costs available.

Person specification:

• Degree level qualification or equivalent

About the role

Main responsibilities

• Lead on data capture of key data points from partner schools, ensuring high quality throughout, efficient processes, and complete data. For example, collection of pupil data, SATs and GCSE results.
   
• Be responsible for promoting high standards of data integrity across the organisation. This includes supporting staff to develop in their use of data, undertaking regular data integrity activities, and developing solutions to improve data integrity issues at the source.
   
• Work with the Data and Insights Manager on the administration, maintenance and development of our Salesforce CRM system.
   
• Support the design, delivery and maintenance of a range of custom reports (in Salesforce or other software), to facilitate external stakeholder reporting and a range of internal project work across departments.
   
• With the Data and Insights Manager, act as expert in data governance and data protection processes at Action Tutoring, promoting data security and GDPR compliance across the organisation.
   
• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.
   

Person specification

We are looking for someone who has:
 

• Two or more years experience with Salesforce administration, including custom objects.
   
• Experience administering online data capture software (ideally FormAssembly), including managing integrations with Salesforce.
   
• Experience working with complex datasets in Excel, including data cleaning in preparation for import/export or analysis.
   
• Experience generating reports for a range of stakeholders.
   
• The ability to design data collection processes and system changes that are scalable, impactful, and promote high standards of data integrity.
   
• Project management experience, including creating project plans, gathering requirements, analysing risks, and managing stakeholders.
   
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proactive in communicating updates and change to stakeholders at all levels.
   
• Confidence adapting communication style and approach to develop data skills in others, including those without a technical background.
   
• A creative and inquisitive attitude about how technology and automation can improve efficiencies across the organisation.

Background

The Minster Centre is a registered charity based in Queens Park, London NW6 that trains psychotherapists and counsellors and provides an accessible therapy service. As an accredited higher education organisation, we provide in-person and online courses throughout the week and weekend. The Minster Centre provides a psychotherapy and counselling service to the local community and has a number of rooms that are hired out for therapy, training, and events.

The Reception Manager is a critical and central role at The Minster Centre, providing a welcoming service to students, room hirers, therapy clients and staff members that is efficient and aligned with The Minster Centre’s Ethos. As part of this role, you will provide first-line support to tutors and students as well as undertake administrative duties crucial to the running of the Centre. You will also provide support to other staff members where appropriate.

Job summary

The ideal candidate will have previous administration and front of house experience to help ensure that all building users (students, room hirers and clients) are welcomed, that the building is available and set up for training and therapy services, and that the building is closed and secured at the end of the day. Furthermore, they would be organised, have excellent IT skills and knowledge and, ideally, practice of using Zoom. They will have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. In addition, they will be able to work autonomously on various tasks and work well in a team. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant transferable skills to develop those skills further.

Duties and responsibilities

Oversee and manage the Reception Team

• Ensure Reception is always covered by organising a reception rota that covers absence, holidays, etc.

General management of Reception

• Receive and welcome visitors.
• Co-ordinate access to the building, opening and closing of the building.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Order stationary and other supplies as requested.
• Manage petty cash.
• Keep the reception area tidy.
• Ensure there are adequate supplies of daily refreshments and organise catering for specific events.

Event and training support

• Set up for events and assist with special or evening events when requested.
• Organise and keep track of First Aid and Fire Marshal trainings.

Administration

• Manage the room booking system, including the processing of invoice figures in communication with Finance Assistant/Credit Controller.
• Deal with room booking enquiries and bookings for events.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls, and provide basic information when needed.
• Undertake data entry tasks, or similar, in quiet periods.
• Deal with customer queries or complaints politely and positively.

Facilities

• Work with the Facilities and Membership Manager to source and organise suppliers to meet the various facility needs of the building.
• Ensure that the building has adequate cleaning by working with the Facilities and Membership Manager in communication with Total Clean.
• Conduct daily spot checks of the building and report any significant problems to Facilities and Membership Manager.
• Undertake small repairs of damaged equipment or fixings.

IT support

• Field/triage general IT Support emails with the IT Team.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues on site.
• Support tutors and office staff with basic Office apps, Moodle, Zoom queries (support and training can be provided).
• Provide IT support for tutors facilitating Zoom teaching sessions including troubleshooting.
• Manage tutor Zoom accounts.
• Schedule Zoom sessions.

Student support and progression 

• Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
• Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years. 
• Oversee the recording of student progression. 
• Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.

About the role

Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service, our Housing Partners (Housing Officers) are the first point of contact for our customers.
 
You'll be a visible presence in your patch, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of tenancies. Moving into a new home is an exciting life experience and your role will have a positive influence on our customer journey from the moment we onboard new tenants.
 
Sometimes things don't always go to plan, so you'll also support customers to manage their rent accounts (including taking cases to court as a last resort), manage anti-social behaviour utilising a multi-agency approach as required, resolve customer complaints effectively and use appropriate legal remedies to ensure tenancies are ended efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements when necessary.
 
You'll develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and build strong community bonds to make moments that matter every day.
 
Salary

The Housing Partner (Housing Officer) role offers a salary of £36,339 per annum for candidates who fully meet the role requirements.
 
If you're still developing in some areas, we'll support your growth with a starting salary just 5% or 10% below the spot rate, depending on experience.
 
You'll also receive a regional allowance of £2,908 and an essential user car allowance starting from £1,250 per year, plus mileage for travel around your patch - helping you stay mobile while making a difference in your community.
 
About you

You'll need experience in delivering housing management services, plus an understanding of tenancy and neighbourhood management. It would be ideal if you have a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing - or you'd be willing to work towards it. You'll bring a proven track record in managing anti-social behaviour, as well as a strong knowledge of rent collection processes and legal frameworks around income recovery. As you'll be travelling across our Accent sites and estates, you'll need a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
 
The successful candidate will undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks.

Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The POLS will also engage law firms and other legal stakeholders, conduct due diligence, allocate projects, maintain project records, gather feedback, prepare internal reports and external communications and undertake other administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). Other key responsibilities include assisting the PBLM with any bespoke projects, assisting with training events for Development Partners on relevant legal topics, and engaging key Legal or Development Partners on any specific areas of legal interest or need.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
