The role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and ambitious Business Development Manager to lead our organisational efforts around income generation. The role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising and/or business development interested in leading the work of a small but impactful and highly respected charity in the health and social care space.

At National Voices, fundraising responsibilities are shared across the organisation, so it is important that the successful candidate is able to work in a collaborative way with others and is just as happy with rolling up their sleeves and writing bids and supporting others to.

While your primary role will be raising funds for National Voices, you will need to be confident in acting as an ambassador for the organisation and in conveying who we are, what we do and the key priorities of our members and people who use health and care.

Responsibilities

Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of funders and clients

· Overseeing the work of our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer in bringing together weekly information on publicly advertised funding opportunities, periodically testing new search words in line with our strategic and commercial interests.

· Ensuring we have access to relevant tendering frameworks.

· Maintaining a pipeline of charitable Trusts and Foundations.

Write and submit bids, and support others to

· In some instances, leading on bid writing – drafting, costing and submitting high quality bids for both project and core funding.

· In other instances, buddying with staff members on bids – carrying out initial call with funders to check fit of projects, supporting with budget development, sharing previous relevant tender responses to support bid writing, supporting submission, leading on the social value response and more.

Support and co-ordinate fundraising efforts of the staff team

· Co-ordinating the triaging and prioritisation of funding bids within the team, in line with our strategic priorities.

· Matching project ideas from across the team with funding opportunities.

· Organising fundraising meetings and ensuring the organisational income generation tracker is up to date.

· Supporting members of the staff team to develop their business development and fundraising skills.

· Providing advice and support to the wider team on compliance with our organisational ethical fundraising policy, the ABPI code, the ABHI code and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

· Maintaining our rate card.

Maintain and develop relationships with prospective funders, clients and organisations we may wish to partner with on funded projects

· Maintaining and developing relationships with grant funding teams at pharmaceutical companies – keeping them updated on our priorities and pitching potential projects for grant funding.

· Alongside other managers and the Senior Management Team, maintaining and developing relationships with development teams at organisations we may want to partner with – consultancy firms, think tanks, research agencies and more.

Manage our partnership scheme

· Take lead responsibility for client management and renewals for organisations on our partnership scheme.

· Coordinate responses to partnership requests within our staff team. Co-ordinate, develop and oversee the delivery of our partnership offer.

General

· Line-manage staff, in the first instance our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer, to include appraisals, setting objectives, monitoring performance and supporting development.

· Review our income generation approach regularly and making suggestions for improvements, using insights from both successful and unsuccessful bids.

· Report progress on our income generation to the board on a quarterly basis.

· Take a pro-active approach to including our members and people with lived experience in all areas of our work.

· Follow processes set out to measure, monitor and communicate the impact of our work.

· Support good project, financial and data management.

· Contribute to the team’s planning activities and undertake other relevant duties as appropriate.

· Deputise for other members of the team when needed.

Our approach to hybrid working

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

The Finance & HR Lead

We are looking for a Finance & HR Lead to take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse. The OutHouse is going through a period of change and we need a finance practitioner who is able to support the organisation in its financial management. You will also have oversight of our HR function. This is a busy role within a small team that is looking to make a huge difference within our community. Key Activities & Responsibilities

As Finance & HR Lead, your key activities and responsibilities will be to:

Finance Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse.
• Prepare, develop and analyse finance and accounting information, including income and expenditure processing, ensuring information is timely precise, clear, informative and understood
• Keep good quality accounting records for our charity by preparing annual accounts and maintaining up to date records on our accountancy and book-keeping systems (making any recommendations for improvement as necessary)
• Work with the CEO and Operations Change Manager to ensure efficient financial management and planning systems, ensure financial reports effectively inform business development and fundraising strategies and that the organisation demonstrates value for money across all activities and services
• Prepare information for our Funders on funded projects expenditure and work with the SLT to present this in a meaningful way
• Attend Trustee meetings as required to provide information and analysis ensuring partnership with CEO and board Treasurer to allow for easier financial decisions
• Ensure financial information supplied to management and the board is full and accurate so as to support sound decision making
• Ensure compliance and proactively highlight potential risk with relevant financial statutory and regulatory matters

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, compassionate individual with a passion for social justice to make a real difference in our local community. Reporting to the Trustee Board, this role will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, management and financial sustainability of Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank. About the role
Do you have excellent relationship building and communication skills that enable you to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues?  Those colleagues need you!

We are looking for an experienced Finance Partner to provide family leave cover until September 2026.  This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well established team, providing finance and business support to Heads of Department within our Communities and System Partnerships division, and their teams.

You will be monitoring the budget that the teams invest in grants that are awarded to the external partners with whom Macmillan works to support people living with cancer. This investment funds established roles such as Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists and Macmillan Support Workers, as well as new, innovative ways to reach minority groups in the community or to lead whole system change for cancer care. 

You will be working with the teams to accurately forecast their full year expenditure, maintain the latest view of their spend for the year and review the monthly management accounts to highlight and investigate variances.

You will work closely with a Senior Finance Business Partner and other Finance Partners mainly online and through occasional in person get-togethers. Wider Finance team meetings are held face to face quarterly in London.

My Life TV is our specialist on-demand streaming service, specifically designed to meet the cognitive needs of people living with dementia, for use within care settings and at home.

My Life Films is seeking a Finance Manager to ensure the organisation is compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements with regards to the main charity and its subsidiary. The post-holder is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the organisation’s finances, including accurate reporting and maintenance and development of financial systems and processes that are fit for purpose.

• Maintain appropriate accounting systems, control and records, ensuring compliance with statutory and related accounting and tax regulations and requirements
• Process monthly payroll and pensions and oversee VAT and corporation tax returns by external accountants

SPEAR is a lifeline to hundreds of people each year who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness across six London boroughs. We provide essential outreach support, a variety of accommodation options, tenancy support services and vital health programmes. In 2024 we supported 804 people experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our corporate giving and partnerships income stream. Corporate Giving at SPEAR comprises just over 20% of our fundraised income, with a mix of direct giving, local COY partnerships and employee fundraising. This is a key role within the Fundraising and Engagement team, responsible for developing and managing relationships with corporate partners to generate sustainable income and deepen engagement with SPEAR’s mission.

You will also play a strategic role in identifying new prospects, securing partnerships, and delivering excellent account management to all existing supporters. The Opportunity

A well known local charity VASA is a small charity (turnover £350k) supporting 4,000 people across Rugby, Solihull East and South Warwickshire with community activities, dementia services and our community transport service.

Following the decision of our long serving Charity Manager to move on to pastures new, we are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Interim Charity Manager for an inital period of 6 months with the potential to be extended dependant subject to results and funding. The Interim will lead the charity forward building on relationships, strategy and partnerships fostered by our outgoing CM. 

Our volunteer-led services have grown in the last decade to meet the growing needs of our community thanks to our dedicated volunteers and a forward thinking Board of Trustees and ambitious strategic plan.

The interim postholder will be expected to continue on from the work of the outgoing CM and undertake an indepth review of the business, working with the trustees on the next phase of our strategic plan and look for a bold funding and operating strategy.

To continue our good work and move VASA forward the apointee will be expected to:

• Identify growth opportunities for this service either geographically and/or by expanding the types of service offerings and ensure this is staffed to enable maximum growth.
• Maximise the newly installed transport support software to ensure that VASA is obtaining optimum benefit from it.
• Seek opportunities for expanding the dementia day services offering and the number of clients served.

As external grant funding is vital for VASA the appointee will be expected to:

• Work with the local authorities currently providing grant funding with the pupose of:
  • Making clear the value of the services VASA provides.
  • Securing, and if possible, increase the current level of funding.
• Seek other funding opportunities.

As financial security and governance is paramount to the charity the appointee must:

The Role

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of The Edward Woods centre, managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the CEO. Working closely with the UPG Management team, employees, partners, contractors, volunteers and other local organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the

Community Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of residents and organisations. They will also promote the profile, role and impact of the Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

• Manage the operations of the Community Centre, its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice regarding HR.

• Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the business and strategic plan and present regular progress updates to the UPG Management team.

• Oversee the maintenance of the building - including building maintenance and improvement

programmes.

• Manage and monitor all aspects of risk assessments, health and safety and security as required by regulation or good practice including, in conjunction, the review and updating of

policies and procedures.

Management of staff and Volunteers

• Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff and volunteers can achieve their best.

employees, contractors, and volunteers, including carrying out DBS checks as

necessary.

• Oversee the Community Centre’s complaints procedure, and the proper handling, investigation and resolution of any complaints against the Centre, its staff and volunteers.

Working with Others

• Continue developing and maintaining relationships with various local partners to ensure activities at the Community Centre fit with others provided in the area.

• Positively represent the Centre and the community at partner and other meetings/events to raise the profile of the Community Centre and to ensure the views and needs of the community are prioritised and included.

• Prepare reports for funders, PRM and annual general meetings.

PR/Marketing and Fundraising

• Oversee the development and implementation of an income generation & marketing strategy.

• Develop strategies to promote the use and profile of the Community Centre, maximising use of social media, publicity opportunities and liaison with the local media.

Financial management

• Liaise with the CEO and Finance officer in setting and managing budgets and maintain an overview of the financial position of the Community Centre.

• Code invoices to ensure that income and expenditure is allocated to correct projects.

• Ensure best practice in all financial matters.

Project Management

• Support and oversee the continued delivery of high-quality services and activities.

• Devise and implement robust impact monitoring and evaluation strategies for all projects.

• Ensure all projects are correctly risk assessed and supported.

Edward Woods Community Centre has a small team of employees, tenants, volunteers and a

wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.

Purpose of the job

This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to join the UK Youth Network Delivery Department. The Summer Jobs Programme is the largest programme in UK Youth’s portfolio. Funded until the end of 2026, the programme is currently operating in its second year. The purpose of this role is to identify and secure employment placements, including those that generate some income, for The Summer Jobs Programme as well as overseeing the employer journey from start to end. Working closely with the Summer Jobs Programme Manager, the Employer Engagement Manager has key input into the work experience aspect of the programme. 

The Summer Jobs Programme is a paid employment initiative running from July to September 2025 and 2026, supporting vulnerable young people in England and Wales. It aims to reduce youth violence and improve future engagement in education, training, and work by removing barriers to employment and offering structured, empowering opportunities. Young people begin with a one-week pre-employment training course, followed by a five-week job placement. Throughout, they’re supported by both a local youth worker and an employer-based supervisor to ensure they receive consistent guidance.

Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and Youth Futures Foundation, the programme launched in 2024 with over 400 participants and has expanded in 2025. A built-in Randomised Control Trial (RCT) will assess its impact on youth violence and long-term outcomes. In 2026, the programme will grow further, completing a three-year period of delivery and investment aimed at driving long-term, evidence-based change.
