JOB PURPOSE:

• To pro-actively engage with local residents and partner organisations to develop a vision for our neighbourhood
• To co-create potential future activities for the Springfield Project and beyond, developing action plans and funding proposals and testing new approaches
• To ensure that the voices of the Sparkhill community are enabled and promoted to key stakeholders, including those whose voices may be marginalised using conventional approaches
• To lead our existing Place of Welcome group, ensuring the programme develops in line with the views of participants and in line with funder requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To enable the voices of Springfield Project service users and other local residents to be heard and acted upon both within the Springfield Project and in the wider neighbourhood/ community
• To proactively engage with local residents and partners to identify issues affecting the local community, gaps in current provision and to support the co-production of new services/ activities that meet local needs.
• To amplify the voices of Sparkhill residents to ensure representation in local and city-wide systems
• To develop, implement and maintain creative and effective communication methods and tools to promote opportunities for engagement and participation in Springfield Project activities and in the wider neighbourhood, including outreach to those that might be marginalised by traditional approaches
• To coordinate the Sparkhill Child Friendly Neighbourhood Youth Advisory Board, ensuring young people are empowered and enabled to participate, to act on issues that are important to them and ensuring that they have ownership of the group and the activity that develops from the group.
• To lead, develop and sustain a 'Springfield Voices’ panel that enables co-production on a local level of new activities
• To represent the Springfield Project at external stakeholder events
• To ensure effective monitoring and evaluation processes are in place to ensure continuous improvement of services and activities
• To develop and coordinate relevant communications campaigns and engagement projects, including physical and online comms and marketing
• To coordinate Community Events ensuring the involvement of the community in the design of events
• To develop project proposals and provide evidence to support fundraising activities based on the wishes and needs of the community
• To develop and test new activities co-created with the community in response to community need
• To facilitate the Place of Welcome group, ensuring that the Place of Welcome provides a welcoming environment for all participants, in line with written procedures covering registration, recording, food provision, coordination of volunteers

· To support visitors from partner agencies to operate in the space by agreement

• To manage incidents, accidents and complaints in line with Springfield Project policy
• To liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator around recruitment and induction of volunteers

To work flexibly and deliver services across the Project as directed and to undertake any other duties commensurate with the role and responsibilities of the post as agreed with your line manager

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the 32 London boroughs.

You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency.

You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers. A special opportunity will be engaging London churches that have partnered with our sister ministry, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the June 2025 God Loves You Tour London.

You will be confident to take initiative with people and projects and also have good administrative and organisational skills. You will also enjoy envisioning the numerous volunteers who participate in the OCC shoebox appeal each year.

You will enthusiastically support the Christian purposes of OCC and Samaritan’s Purse and be committed to the value of well-equipped volunteers and to developing them further. Candidates will have proven people and project management and administrative experience in the workplace and be educated to A levels or ideally Degree level.

This role is based in region, and so prospective candidates should currently live in the region and provide their own transport for which defined expenses will be paid.

As part of this work, our Finance & Operations Team engages with a wide range of people to support the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Finance & Operations Manager is integral to this.

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to provide effective financial management, accurate financial reporting and oversee the facilities management of the Trust’s offices. The Finance & Operations Manager will manage a team of 2 and be part of the Trust’s People Manager Team.

Summary of key duties:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Develop, implement and operate monitoring systems for financial forecasting and re-forecasting to support sound decision making.
• Lead on and co-ordinate the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring that information is collected, compiled and reported in a timely manner to the Leadership Team for review and recommendation to the Finance & Audit Committee.
• Produce quarterly and annual internal finance report and management accounts for reporting to the Leadership Team and Finance & Audit Committee, which summarise budget trends, analyse and report variance.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, through liaisons with the Trust’s external auditors for preparing of the SORP financial statements.

Policy and Procedures

• Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement policies, procedures and systems ensuring best value is achieved across all activities.
• Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring appropriate cover is in place and general administration of the Trust’s insurance policies is enacted.

Payroll

• Maintain payroll processing system and run the monthly payroll.

Facilities Management

• Support the development of a 5 year planned preventative maintenance plan for the Trust’s premises, to support budget and resource planning.
• Oversee the management of the Trust’s premises ensuring contracts are in place and appropriately managed to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the building and that all health and safety requirements are met.

Line management responsibilities

• Provide line management to the Finance Co-ordinator and Workplace & Facilities Manager, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all employees are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.
• Contribute to Trust-wide people management policies, procedures and team culture as a member of the People Manger Team.

Essential Knowledge and Experience 

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or experience to this level (E).
• Practical knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting and preparation of financial reports for senior management and compliance purposes.
• Line management experience to foster a productive and supportive team environment.

Summary of skills

• Strong numerical and analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports.
• Proactive problem-solver, demonstrating high levels of initiative, organisation and flexibility.
• Ability to work meticulously and methodically, demonstrating attention to detail.

The Resident Engagement Manager will be the organisational lead in a new and exciting lottery funded project leading a small team and overseeing the design and delivery of the LEAP service at Homeless Oxfordshire and with wider partners.

About LEAP

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. LEAP also supports residents to take steps into peer mentoring, volunteering, and training, helping them build positive networks beyond their immediate circle and develop the skills and confidence to thrive independently.

At LEAP, community involvement is at the heart of their work. Empowering residents through co-production is a key organisational goal. LEAP offer a range of inclusive engagement methods—from informal gatherings like group breakfasts and creative activities, to structured sessions such as support needs mapping and Residents’ Forums. These forums provide regular opportunities for feedback and co-design, with input reaching senior management and trustees. They are enhancing resident engagement by developing a mutual support network for staff with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction. LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Wider community benefits include reduced stigma around homelessness, stronger partnerships with employers and organisations, and improved understanding of the issues faced by our residents—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Our Healthier Lifestyles Service includes a programme of seated and standing exercise, health checks and social engagement together with our 3 Memory Tree Cafés. Memory Tree cafes combine music and singing, dancing, reminiscence, exercise, activity and social interaction providing a safe and relaxing environment for older people living with dementia and their carers.

Our programmes are delivered in various settings across the borough including care homes, sheltered housing and community venues together with our own Brigstock Road Community Hall.

The Healthier Lifestyle team at Age UK Croydon offers a range of inclusive and accessible activities and events across the borough of Croydon combining exercise and social engagement in a variety of local settings.  These sessions help reduce isolation, improve independence, prevent falls, increase fitness levels and manage health conditions. They also provide social engagement and interaction, information and support around living with dementia, a safe and welcoming space for all to engage and relax.

Duties will include (but are not limited to) –

• Independently delivering chair-based exercise sessions on a daily basis in Croydon care homes to residents.
• Working as part of the health hub team to deliver health hubs in various Croydon locations.  If qualified also delivering standing exercise sessions.
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with care home, health hub venue staff and partner organisations or talk providers.
• Setting up of equipment for activities and ensuring resources are ready for events.
• Delivering basic health checks including blood pressure, BMI and diabetes screening.

We are currently recruiting a trauma-informed, person-centred Counsellor to deliver essential and life-saving counselling for survivors of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse. The Counsellor will be employed by TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester, working 24 hours a week over 3 days, and will be based at our office space in Trafford. What the job involves

Join our Customer Engagement and Experience team as our Data Imports Manager, where every day you’ll be helping to make sure our supporters’ donations and personal details are handled with care and accuracy.

You’ll manage the Data Import Team, who process around £30 million in donations each year and safely manage details for about 180,000 new supporters. It’s a role right at the heart of our operations, keeping our systems running smoothly and ensuring supporter data is looked after properly.

Day to day, you’ll manage the flow of financial and personal data into our CRM, whether it’s from third-party suppliers or our website. You’ll own the use of our automation tools to ensure data imports are efficient and accurate.

You’ll support your team, respond to data queries, and as the product owner of our bespoke ETL tool work closely with developers, designers and data teams to deliver high quality solutions. There’s plenty of scope to spot ways to improve how we work, reducing manual processes and making things quicker and smarter without compromising quality.

Alongside this, you’ll produce regular reports to keep things on track, such as weekly/monthly reconciliation reports for Finance, and oversee tasks such as creating our Gift Aid claim. You’ll also play a key part in developing and monitoring KPIs, making sure we’re hitting our goals and delivering a reliable, accurate service.

What we want from you

We’re looking for candidates who have an expert knowledge of database systems and be able to channel this knowledge into meeting the business needs of the charity.

You’ll be a natural collaborator, able to build strong relationships and comfortable working with people at all levels across the charity. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and relationships, keeping a high volume of tasks moving smoothly and within set timeframes. Time management is key in this role, as you’ll understand how data processes directly affect income and supporter experience.

With a practical, agile mindset, you’ll be a problem solver who can look at systems and processes with fresh eyes and quickly spot opportunities to make them more efficient and effective. Process-driven and detail-focused, you’ll take a proactive approach to improving the way we work, without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Excellent communication skills are essential, you’ll be confident having open, honest conversations to protect the integrity of our data, and able to influence decisions when it counts.

You’ll have experience managing and coaching a team, supporting people to achieve great results while developing their skills and confidence.

Ideally, you’ll also have a good understanding of charity law relating to fundraising, Gift Aid, data and information management, along with experience of customer relationship databases, particularly Raiser's Edge.

We're currently looking for an Employability Manager to join our team at St. John's this September.

You'll lead the design and delivery of our college-wide employability programme, ensuring our autistic learners and those with additional needs are prepared for meaningful work opportunities. From developing enterprise projects and supporting our Supported Internship programme, to building partnerships with local employers, you'll play a key role in shaping aspirational outcomes for our learners.

You'll also manage a small team of Employability Coordinators, collaborate with curriculum and transitions staff, and embed employability across the learner journey—from skill-building to successful job placements.

This role would particularly suit someone who has:

• Experience working with SEND learners in an educational or employment setting

• A strong understanding of inclusive employment and supported internship models

• Knowledge of the Gatsby benchmarks and Preparing for Adulthood framework

• A background in careers advice, experience working in Further Education (FE) colleges, or demonstrated experience supporting young people with SEND

• Excellent partnership-building and project management skills

• Line management experience and a collaborative leadership style

The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) is a Charity and Company Limited by guarantee and is the representative body for Directors of Public Health (DPH) in the UK. The Association has a rich heritage, its origins dating back more than 160 years. It seeks to improve and protect the health of the population through collating and presenting the views of DsPH; advising on public health policy and legislation at a local, regional, national and international level; facilitating a support network for DsPH; and providing opportunities for DsPH to develop professional practice. 

We are now looking to appoint to the full-time, permanent position of Development Programme Manager. The successful candidate will work with our Head of Development and Engagement to develop and deliver our comprehensive membership offer to our range of members.

In addition to managing their work programme they will act as Project Manager for some ADPH events, participate and lead cross team projects and line manage and oversee the work of our Project Administrators and Coordinators.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience of working in a training and leadership development environment, as well as a background in event and workshop management. Working with our senior stakeholders will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside a proven ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
