About the team

We have been successfully running the first ever national Peer Support Service for kinship carers in England for over two years since January 2022. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

• creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
• sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups, and;
• providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England. 

About the role

The type of person we’re looking for:

This is a new a role and a new structure for the team. You will need to be a strong, boundaried manager and leader. You will understand the power of building relationship-focussed peer support groups and the importance of in person local community engagement and outreach.

The team you lead will focus on community outreach and relationship building to develop new groups and new support group leaders through to independence. By independence, we mean that the groups will function successfully without a staff member present.

We want groups to feel a sense of community and belonging through all support and services we offer at Kinship, so your team will be the local contact.  They are expected to be out and about in communities.

Your team will need to build resilience through in person outreach, support, training and connection to ensure groups are able to function independently before moving to new ‘hub’ team who will provide centralised support and community building.

Your team will also reach out to existing groups (providing a face of the service and a relationship with it), ensuring they have the resources they need and support to sustain their group and then transition to the ‘hub’ team. This will include in person visits.

Purpose of the role:

The role of Programme Lead is to oversee and take accountability for the development and creation of new sustainable kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model. In this context, your team is the ‘spoke’ of the service, delivering local outreach, online groups (where appropriate) and relationship building with kinship carers.

Managing a national team of seven staff (two direct line reports), you will provide firm leadership, ensuring targets and funder SLAs are met consistently and the service is delivered to a high quality.  You will provide monthly reports, ensuring delivery is on track and most importantly that kinship carers have an excellent and positive experience.

Key responsibilities include:

•  

• Deliver sustainable peer support groups for kinship carers.

• Ensure policies and systems to deliver new groups and move others to sustainability, are followed and updated with user needs at the heart.

• Champion and innovate the peer support service blueprint. 

• Oversee day-to-day operations for service delivery and meet KPIs and SLAs.

• Line manage and supervise two Senior Peer Support Officers.

• As a deputy safeguarding lead at Kinship, you will work closely with other colleagues to identify areas of training for the organisation and identify improvements in delivery or processes.

Essential requirements include:

• Substantial experience in delivering a high-profile national service or programme. This includes overseeing delivery, operational planning, monitoring, budgeting, managing delivery and meeting KPIs.

• Significant experience of leading the development and delivery of peer support and community development services.

• Significant experience of managing volunteer recruitment and retention.

• Significant experience of change management and driving high performance.

About the team:

Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

This role will coordinate the ‘hub’ resources and content with a focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders.  Specifically, this role will manage an ‘online hub’ for support group leaders and provide an excellent ‘customer experience’ for all support group leaders. You will support the hub innovation.

Together with the Peer Support Hub Lead you’ll take a human centred approach to working with group leaders to develop a central hub of accessible and useful resources and activities (for in person and online).  You’ll build good relationships with support group leaders, building in their insight to develop resources and activities that will support them in their role.

You’ll help kinship carers to sustain their groups, working with colleagues across Kinship to promote consistent access to services and activities (training, programmes, information, advice and campaigns), ensuring a joined-up user experience.

About the role:

The role of the Peer Hub Coordinator will provide operational delivery of the Peer Support Hub. With excellent marketing, communication and digital skills this role will work with the Peer Support Hub Lead to develop an ‘in person’ and online peer support community.

 In this context, your role supports the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well. This will be building on and innovating the current Support Group Network.

 Your role will support group leaders to feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community.

The type of person we're looking for:

Super organised, you are someone who uses their initiative, anticipates challenges and proactively provides seamless solutions. 

You’ll be comfortable with using digital technology and tools to build communities and develop resources. You’ll be curious about digital community tools, and you’ll want to work closely with our digital and content team to develop an amazing online experience.

You’ll also be a people person – understanding how building ‘in person’ relationships is key to unlocking community power for kinship carers.

You’ll be the right-hand person to the Peer Support Hub Lead making sure we deliver a really brilliant experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operational delivery, innovation and management of a dedicated online and in-person peer support ‘hub’.

• Building direct and positive relationships with support group leaders.

• Roll out mechanisms and tools to support groups to remain sustainable including but not limited to; informal buddy matches, online hub for support group leaders, monthly e-news, monthly speakers, themed specialist training (like setting up a safe Facebook group / promoting your group) and celebration events.

• Facilitation of regional network meetings.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of developing jargon-free content for different audiences and channels.

• Experience of providing project support, delivering plans on time and evaluating outcomes.

• Experience of stakeholder communications and building relationships with stakeholders (e.g. beneficiaries and partners).

What we want from you

About the role 

As Artists & Influencer Manager, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and deliver complex projects in support of Save the Children's campaigns. You will work with the rest of the A&I team to build a strong roster of high-profile supporters, influencers and ambassadors, stewarding them to become passionate advocates for children's rights, delivering audience cut-through, fundraising objectives and helping build Save the Children's brand.

In this role, you will: 

• Alongside the A&I team, be responsible for identifying and delivering the right blend of high profile personalities to support projects, activities and objectives across PR, digital, events, campaigning, partnerships and other. 
• Spot opportunities and devise A&I activations that raise awareness and visibility of Save the Children amongst key target audiences with the aim of recruiting new supporters and encouraging them to take action. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with current artists and influencers, developing their involvement with Save the Children in creative and innovative ways.
• Target and recruit new A&I supporters, whilst nurturing long term relationships with a view where relevant, to eventual commitment on Ambassador level.  Keep up to date with supporters' broader schedules, spotting new opportunities for engagement as they arise.
• Write and present inspiring proposals for artists, agents, managers and publicists, creating and defining the right pitch for the right potential ambassador.

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have:  

• Experience of working with digital influencers including building content and delivering activations.
• Understanding of social media landscape, trends and developments and ability to suggest ways to utilise them. 
• Experience of working with talent - including those with global reach – in a range of settings. 
• Ability to pitch and secure involvement of new talent, through written approaches and one-to-one meetings. 
• Excellent personal networks with key talent, management, PR agents and other.
• Demonstrable experience of generating and delivering innovative ideas involving talent, to support a specific campaign or event.

About Black Thrive 

Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth (BTL) Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm. 

Our guiding principle is that Black communities should be at the forefront of reimagining, redefining, and co-creating a society where systemic racism and other oppressive systems have been dismantled so that they have fulfilling lives. We have two priorities – building a Black Thrive Research Institute and embedding race equity in systems change. 

We have grown rapidly since 2021 and so still have a start-up culture and often deal with competing priorities at a fast pace. 

The aim of Black Queer & Thriving is to explore the health and wellbeing needs of Black LGBTQ+ people in Lambeth and Southwark, develop community research that details these needs with the Working Group and use the outcome to influence local policy and infrastructure. 

The purpose of this role is to support the Black Queer & Thriving workstream with the main priorities being: 

• Providing administrative support to the development of the Black LGBTQ+ Working Group, including organising meetings and minute taking; 

• Supporting relationship management with Lambeth and Southwark’s Black LGBTQ+ community; and 

• Leading on a community research project exploring the health and wellbeing experiences of Black LGBTQ+ people in Lambeth and Southwark.

The list below is not an exhaustive list of duties, due to the dynamic nature of the work occurring at Black Thrive we are looking for someone who is willing to adapt to our responsive workstreams, and who can be agile in the performance of different tasks.

Duties and responsibilities 

1. Support the project’s engagement and involvement with Lambeth and Southwark’s Black LGBTQ+ communities, particularly young people. 

2. Lead on designing and maintaining databases to support the network mapping of stakeholders and ensure relationship management of key stakeholders. 

3. Leading on a community research project with the Working Group and participate in and support other research, evaluation and learning activities. 

4. Keep abreast of various projects, initiatives and coalitions locally, regionally and nationally, as well as emerging legislation policy and practice related to the workstream. 

5. Support the Programme & Partnership Manager with project management and reporting arrangements relating to the achievement of objectives and milestones. 

6. Organise meeting and events and manage the associated administration such as room bookings, preparing and distribution of agendas, minute taking and action tracking. 

7. Support the development of the Black LGBTQ+ Working Group, including recruitment, organising meetings and minutes. 

8. Produce and deliver presentations, reports and other materials relevant to the role. 

9. Lead on producing content for internal and external blog posts and digital content across our communication channels to ensure effective communication of Black Thrive’s employment work to relevant audiences. 

10.  Put in place appropriate project and financial management arrangements to ensure the achievement of objectives and milestones relating to the Communities workstream.

11.  Ensure compliance with legislation and policies relevant to the job role, including equality, safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and financial probity.

12.  Spend up to 10% of time supporting corporate business, such as strategy and administration.

13.  Occasionally work at weekends and in the evenings when required. 

WASH Systems and Programme Partnerships Senior Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Location: The role will be based in the UK or one of the following countries where WaterAid works, subject to right-to-work eligibility in the respective countries. Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia

For the UK Location, we offer hybrid working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face-to-face, in a WaterAid office. For UK-based staff, WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

About the Team:
WASH Systems and Programme Partnerships is part of the Programme Support & Knowledge team (PSK), a key unit of the WaterAid UK International Programmes Department (IPD) operating in 17 African and Asian countries. PSK is a diverse and motivated group of 20+ technical specialists and advisors, passionate about bringing sustainable WASH to the world's poorest and most marginalised people. PSK leads and supports organisation-wide programme learning and knowledge management, collating and disseminating programme knowledge and facilitating knowledge exchange. The team provides technical advisory expertise and fosters and supports internal and external programme and technical partnerships and networks. The team also leads on developing normative programme documents and standards, advising and supporting on the delivery of IPD's programme capacity enhancement strategy. PSK collaborates with many functions across the organisation including policy, advocacy, campaigns, fundraising, communications, as well as with WaterAid partners and collaborators.

About the Role:

As an experienced WASH professional and systems thinker, you will provide strategic leadership to the WASH Systems and Programme Partnerships team, aiming to maximise the value that the individuals and the wider Programme Support and Knowledge team brings in contributing to effective approaches to WASH systems strengthening and effective programme partnerships for collective action, as part of WaterAid's strategy.

The WASH Systems and Programme Partnerships Senior Manager is a senior leadership role within the Programme Support and Knowledge (PSK) team that sits within the International Programmes Department of WaterAid (UK). You will be a member of the PSK senior leadership team.

In this role, you will provide the vision and the steer to the team in providing high quality and impactful WASH systems advisory support, guide the development and refreshment of the organisational framing, guidance and standards materials. The role will also provide leadership in steering and convening the organisational best practice in developing and shaping strategically focused programme partnerships and alliances for effective collective action. This includes guiding our work on the relative roles of the public and private sector in WASH, particularly evolving our work on Sanitation and Water Operator Partnerships (SWOPs).

You'll:

• Strategically lead WASH systems and partnerships support for WaterAid programming
• Lead programme learning and knowledge management in WASH systems and programme partnerships
• Support fundraising, external engagement, partnerships and communications with respect to WASH systems and programme partnerships
• Lead the team to be dynamic, collaborative and influential in their work

About You:

• Extensive and broad experience in WASH development in developing countries, demonstrated through a solid career record, with specific knowledge and skills in strengthening WASH systems and effective programme partnerships, across multiple contexts.
• A systems thinker and systems expert, capable of developing and delivering transformational WASH programmes with large scale outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience of developing impactful programme partnerships and solid understanding of collective action in practice.
• Substantial experience public / private sector approaches and models for effective and sustainable WASH services.
• Proven skills in leading strategic, effective and impactful initiatives in larger organisations, from a similar level senior level.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Working knowledge of one or more of WaterAid's working languages (French, Portuguese and Spanish).
• Experience of leading or managing applied research.
• Experience and understanding of establishing and promoting technical standards.

Purpose of the Post

London's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has joined forces with Redthread and Catch22 to support young Londoners aged 16-30 to gain skills, qualifications, and employment in the digital and surrounding sectors.

The youth Mentor will be working within local communities to support programme users to progress into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities.

In this role we are looking for a Youth Mentor to provide tailored career guidance and occasionally deliver facilitated employability workshops to those enrolled on the programme. We want someone who is ready to champion the rights and needs of those facing barriers to work, and is committed to delivering the best they can, for the people on the programme

You will manage a caseload of service users and develop bespoke plans to support these individuals throughout their journey towards progression. It would be beneficial to have an awareness of the digital or technical sectors and/or apprenticeships.

You will immerse yourself in a targeted location and be responsible for engaging a range of referral partners to attract targeted young people onto the programme.
