Age UK Wandsworth is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for over 60 years. We have dedicated staff and over 300 volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in Wandsworth.
A rare opportunity has arisen to join our caring and experienced day centre team as a driver and support worker. You will be driving clients to and from their homes each day in our minibus and then working with them at the centre during the day.
You will be assisting older people and/or vulnerable adults to improve or maintain their overall wellbeing and stay independent for longer whilst enabling them to retain, gain or regain independence.
Could you help
· To provide assistance with personal care and support, daily living tasks or with activities to clients within our day centre.
· To drive clients to and from their homes and the day centre.
Both full-time and part-time roles are available.
Please note that a clean driving licence is essential for this role. You will need a D1 driving licence or we can train you to drive one of our mini-buses.

Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator
A Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator is required to work on an initial 3 month contract, with a view to go permanent, for a service based in Luton. The Criminal Justice Recovery Worker will be required on site from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- You will manage people who are subject to ATR and DRR court orders while collaborating with partners, including the Police, Courts, and HM Probation Service.
- Evaluate a defendant's eligibility for Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (CSTR) in court and over the phone with probation.
- Deliver screening, evaluation, planning for rehabilitation, and subsequent referral, minimising the harm that drugs and alcohol cause to clients and the larger community
- Implement psychological therapies to lessen injury, disengagement, and related criminal activity.
- Encouraging carer, client, and community participation
- Promote the availability of partnering services
Experience Required:
- Possess a thorough awareness of the problems associated with substance abuse and a background in a related subject.
- Possess strong written and vocal communication abilities, along with strong IT abilities.
- Be proactive, self-starting, and possessing great time management and prioritisation abilities
- Possess a solid understanding of mental health services, therapies, and best practices.
- Capacity to effectively handle change while putting the demands of service users first

Young People’s Senior Peer Research Coordinator - Haringey
Are you passionate about working with young people? Do you have experience of project management, involvement and research methods and helping others to do research?
If yes, we have the ideal job for you. We are working in partnership with the Peace Alliance in Haringey as part of the Peer Action Collective to develop solutions with young people to address youth violence. The work is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund.
Working with young people aged 10-20, as well as local secondary schools and colleges, the project will carry out peer research and develop social action projects.
The person in this role will be excellent at co-ordinating multiple projects and groups, with strong project management skills and will be a core part of our delivery team. You will also get the opportunity to work on other young people’s involvement projects at McPin.
The post is full time and will suit someone who would like some flexibility in working hours, as there will be evening, weekend work plus school holiday activities, including Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-7 pm at Tottenham Town Hall. Your time will be split between working from Tottenham Town Hall in Haringey, the McPin Foundation offices in London and remote working as needed for project delivery.
You will link with stakeholders – schools, the police, local councillors – to help build networks to drive our social action projects forward.
Most importantly you will be supporting and mentoring young people as they learn about peer research and develop social action projects to drive change.

Well Connected is seeking someone with community engagement experience, to become our new Community Connector within easy reach of Plymouth, Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us and alongside our partners to support students’ community placements and learning experiences, enabling students to engage directly with communities.
The role will facilitate and develop a range of programmes which aim to increase students' understanding of the health needs of a variety of population groups, such as people who experience homelessness, vulnerable adults, children and families, etc.
The Community Connector will join a small, yet dynamic team, be self-motivated and able to work independently towards achieving their targets.They must be enthusiastic, kind, approachable and enjoy interacting with students, community organisations and local people and be open to learning, developing their own skills and want to support the learning of others.
While a background in health and/or teaching is not a requirement, you should be interested in promoting wellbeing and passionate about supporting the teaching and learning of the health professionals of the future.

The opportunity
CAG networks empower community groups to act towards a more sustainable future, focussing primarily on the areas of reuse, repair, waste reduction, sharing, surplus food, composting and wider biodiversity and sustainability. In 2023/4 CAG Devon expanded its geographic focus, becoming county-wide, and widening its topical focus. You will be coordinating the delivery of the new Community Action Groups (CAG) project in East Devon (see our parent project website, CAG Devon).
A CAG network provides community groups with the tools and support they need to thrive, such as support with governance, guidance, small grants, training and insurance, as well as opportunities for networking and sharing skills with other groups.
As CAG project coordinator for the East Devon area, you will be nurturing and supporting place-based community groups, so location is essential. The successful candidate must live in central or East Devon or be within a reasonable commuting distance of East Devon. Mileage will be paid for travel within the East Devon area.
You will liaise with the contract manager and the local authority representative and have experience and enthusiasm for sustainability, community development and grass roots activities. You’ll be joining a close-knit team, working with the CAG Devon Project Manager and Project Officer, and occasionally with our wider Resource Futures team.
What you will be doing
- Promoting the CAG Project across East Devon:
- Establishing contact with communities and key people, through networking, attending and speaking at local events, writing posts, blogs and articles, and speaking to groups.
- Contributing to the CAG Devon website and social media presence.
- Identifying the needs of local groups (with them), including the resources and plans needed to implement their community-based initiatives.
- Providing individual support to assist groups plan and implement their activities:
- Guiding communities in the development of practical waste reduction and wider biodiversity and sustainability projects.
- Providing advice on fundraising and project management for these projects.
- Providing support to community groups and volunteers through identifying and organising appropriate training events, skill sharing sessions and individual support.
- Supporting groups to engage with and make use of Resource CIT, CAG Devon’s current online monitoring and evaluation tool.
- Ensuring that the work meets the agreed objectives and targets of East Devon District Council and the objectives of the wider CAG Devon contract (with Devon County Council).

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and skilled individual to join our fast-paced and award-winning Fundraising and Brand Team. Refugee Action is currently growing and diversifying our income.
Through successful acquisition programmes, the team’s supporter base and income are steadily increasing and we are looking for a someone to assist with data and supporter care. The role will sit within the Data & Insight Team but will work very closely with Public Fundraising, as well as working across the team supporting our Major Partnerships and Digital teams.
We are passionate and prioritise professional development and provide relevant support to ensure progression.
This will be an opportunity for you to utilise existing skills but also develop and learn new ones by working closely with the Data and Insight Officer on all aspects of our supporter data from donation processing to imports and data cleaning.
The role will help deliver excellent supporter experience by working alongside our Supporter Care Coordinator. Through verbal and written communications, you will develop strong relationships with Refugee Action’s supporters and help to develop their loyalty to our organisation.
Finally, you will play a role in embedding Refugee Action’s aims to empower people with lived experience and commitment to anti-racist practice across all activity.
To succeed in the role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Commitment to removing barriers to power for people with lived experience, and commitment to anti-racist practices.
- Understanding of how the UK’s hostile and racialised border regime impacts on those affected by it.
- Experience of using Excel (including creating charts and tables) and databases (for example, Raisers Edge) to enter data.
- Ability to record information accurately and confidentially with very good attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to deliver to agreed schedule.
- Good spoken and written English skills with experience in providing supporter or customer care.
- Experience in, or ability to work in an office environment, setting up and maintaining effective administrative systems.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on your own.
- Passion to pursue a career in fundraising.

Job Summary
We expect this role to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key funders, stakeholders, institutions and individuals. It will undertake work to secure funding, resources and partnerships for both Shared Assets and the wider land justice movement, and to raise the profile and reputation of Shared Assets.
The role will have responsibility for securing core funding for Shared Assets from trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals, and for supporting colleagues to secure grant and commercial funding for consultancy, research, movement building and communications projects. It will have responsibility for reporting on core grants and providing quality control for colleagues for their bids, tenders and funder reports. As part of this work the role will play a key part in providing intelligence and foresight to contribute to the organisation’s strategy and business planning.
Beyond securing consistent core funding for Shared Assets the role will also work with funders and others to secure longer term resourcing of the wider land movement in order to deliver our collective ambitions for a just and sustainable land system.
As part of a self managing organisation all team members are expected to contribute to the day to day management of the organisation through participation in management circles, team days and working groups.
Main Responsibilities
Fundraising and resourcing

Develop and maintain relationships with funders to fund work that seeks to support common good land use and to create a more just and sustainable land system.

Work with the team to ensure we maintain a healthy pipeline of bids and tenders in order to meet income generation targets across the organisation.

Work with the wider land justice movement and funders to secure significant, consistent and long term resourcing for the wider land movement, working in ways that are open and transparent to, and inclusive of, the wider movement and which will help to deliver systemic change that meets our collective objectives for a more just and sustainable land system.
Stakeholder relationships

Develop and maintain relationships with key partner organisations in order to build an understanding of the wider context and system in which we are working in order to inform our strategic development and to identify opportunities for future partnership working. To understand where Shared Assets is valued and effective, and where it may need to adapt and change.

Participate in the Funding & Finance circle, participate in relevant work groups and liaise with other circles where appropriate.

The YWF Youth Voice Coordinator Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate and lead YWF’s revamped youth engagement initiatives. Collaborating closely with our Youth Voice Consultant and the entire team, you will bring passion, creativity, professionalism and ambition to implement our youth voice plans. These plans are informed by a recent review and are supported by a theory of change. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying this work and the voices of young people involved with YWF through our social media platforms.
This position also provides avenues for professional growth and development. By directly overseeing interns engaged in YWF activities, you will gain valuable experience in staff development and play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of youth leaders! Furthermore, you will acquire experience in YWF’s broader organisational functions, creating opportunities to leverage your expertise in youth engagement to contribute to strategic and operational decision-making within the organisation.
Key roles and responsibilities
Youth Outreach and Recruitment
- Undertake outreach and recruitment efforts to attract a diverse group of young people from the YWF membership to participate in YWF's engagement initiatives (currently known as the Young Ambassadors) - working closely with members and key stakeholders to do so.
- Ensure these strategies and communication channels are youth-focussed, inclusive and accessible.
YWF Youth Engagement Strategy Development & Coordination
- Help develop and coordinate YWF's youth engagement and youth voice initiatives including engaging the Young Ambassadors in a YWF engagement program, workshops, internships, trusteeships, panels, peer-research, grant-making, member visits etc.
- Ensure young people are supported to engage in outward-facing opportunities - events, social media, co-production, member visits.
- Work with the youth voice consultant, young people and key stakeholders to help further develop practices that promote youth empowerment, both within the organisation, the membership and the borough.
- Support internal pathways for the Young Ambassadors into YWF Internships and external pathways into supported paid opportunities within the borough e.g. research, youth consultancy etc.
Social Media
- Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Manager to communicate the voices and work of young people within YWF through various social media platforms - including supporting young people to gather content.
Internship Oversight
- Support and coordinate YWF interns - providing guidance, mentorship and direction to ensure effective program implementation - working to integrate and support interns within different areas of the team.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including young people, members, staff, volunteers and partner organisations to share best practices, support collaboration and drive forward impactful strategies.
Project Management
- Ensure clear documentation, processes, and policies are in place to support the efficiency and effectiveness of YWF youth engagement initiatives, including supporting the Youth Voice Consultant to develop role descriptions, session plans, and risk assessments and safeguarding.
Grant Making
- Support the Grants Manager in delivering a youth-led grants programme, led by a group of young grant makers
Measuring Impact
- Work with key members of the team, young people and stakeholders to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of YWF’s youth voice initiatives.
