An exciting and unique internship opportunity to work closely with key senior operational staff in a respected UK international development charity; this position has strong vocational content for anyone looking to break into the international development sector with future possibilities of progression into roles within the UK and/or Madagascar.
The post holder will gain hands-on experience in international development, gain understanding and skills across a wide range of duties associated with programmes development, corporate fundraising, volunteer coordination, and practical charity management.
The internship spans a minimum of six months and is a remote role. The diversity of activities that will be undertaken provides training for an early-career development professional who can effectively and efficiently deal with a comprehensive range of tasks related to the complex world of overseas development work.

Key Responsibilities:
· Welcome parents, carers, and babies to the self-weigh session in a friendly and approachable way.
· Explain how to use the weighing equipment safely and accurately (training provided).
· Support parents to record their baby’s weight on growth charts or apps as appropriate.
· Ensure the weighing area is safe, clean, and ready for families to use.
· Provide reassurance and encouragement to parents and carers.
· Signpost any questions or concerns about a baby’s health or development to a Family Centre staff member

Volunteer: The PR Officer of Hidayah plays a vital role in raising the profile of the organisation. The PR Officer will take the lead in managing relationships with external media, agencies, and partners to help Hidayah achieve its strategic aims. We’re seeking passionate Volunteer Ecommerce & Commercial Managers to help grow this unique programme. You’ll work to encourage more people to shop through our platform, strengthen relationships with retail partners, and help us maximise the funding we receive from every transaction.
Your expertise will directly support our campaigns to build a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable world. If you have experience in ecommerce, business development, online retail, or commercial strategy, we’d be thrilled to have you join our mission.
Duties
- Manage and maintain the company’s online SHOP page, ensuring all store/product listings are accurate, engaging, and up-to-date
- Develop and manage our online partnerships to ensure maximum benefit to the charity.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive traffic and maximise sales through various digital channels
- Analyse sales data and customer behaviour to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Coordinate with the marketing and social media teams to create compelling content, promotions, and campaigns
- Oversee customer service and member interactions related to online orders, ensuring prompt resolution of issues
- Monitor website performance, optimise user experience, and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
- Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of products
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in e-commerce operations and customer engagement
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitors’ activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing e-commerce platforms or online retail operations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and professional interaction
- Experience or background in teaching is advantageous, demonstrating strong instructional abilities and adaptability
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics software, and content management systems
- Ability to analyse data to inform strategic decisions
- A proactive attitude with problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of current e-commerce trends and best practices

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of sight loss and RNIB services at local events. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to local service providers and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a world without barriers.
What you’ll be doing:
• Giving talks to groups of people to raise awareness of sight loss in your local community by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local businesses, community and voluntary groups.
• Delivering Talks to raise awareness of RNIB services as a trusted source of support for blind and partially sighted people
• Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service

This is an opportunity to use your love of art, creativity and communications skills to make a difference to the future of dance in Ukraine. This volunteer role will help raise funds for our projects, manage communications, promote our events and showcase the impact of our work. We have produced two major gala fundraisers in London over the last three years and are planning a further fundraiser in Spring 2026.
Responsibilities:
Website, social media and materials:
- Developing communications materials
- Maintaining website content and developing design with website development coordinator
- Event promotion
- Management of social media content
Fundraising:
- Researching and preparing funding proposals to institutional donors including corporates and trusts
- Researching high net worth donors
- Maintaining and building donor relations
Key Skills / Attributes:
Well established professional experience in corporate communications or marketing or similar disciplines.
- Strong interest in volunteering within the arts in the third sector
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Organised and creative.
- Familiar with use of social media for corporate communications
- Management experience
Interest in / knowledge of ballet useful.
Our charity promotes dance and performance arts. Given the continuing conflict our current focus is exclusively on our projects in Ukraine.
