Position Overview:
The Programme Specialist is critical in supporting the delivery of a high-impact employability and skills development programme. Working under the guidance of the Programme Lead, this position focuses on coordinating projects, managing participant engagement, and ensuring the smooth execution of training initiatives, mentorship activities, and job placement efforts. The Programme Specialist directly empowers individuals to achieve workforce readiness and sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination:

   • Assist in managing day-to-day activities of the programme, including onboarding, skills assessments, and skills development of participants.

   • Track progress against programme milestones (e.g., participant enrollment and completion rates) and flag delays to the Programme Lead.

2. Participant Support:

   • Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on programme resources, training modules, and job search tools.

   • Maintain accurate participant records, including attendance, skill assessments, and post-program outcomes.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Support the Programme Lead in building relationships with internal stakeholders.

4. Data Management & Reporting:

   • Collect and analyse data on participant progress, employment outcomes, and programme effectiveness using CRM systems or databases.

   • Prepare regular reports for the Programme Lead to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact to funders/stakeholders.

5. Logistics & Compliance:

   • Manage programme materials, including training resources, digital platforms, and participant handbooks.

   • Ensure compliance with programme guidelines, confidentiality policies, and grant reporting requirements.

1. Continuous Improvement:

   • Gather feedback from participants and partners to identify opportunities to enhance programme delivery.

   • Support the implementation of new tools or processes to improve efficiency and participant satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 1–3 years in programme coordination, workforce development, adult education, or a similar role.

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including youth, underserved communities, or career changers.

• Skills:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Google products (Forms, Sheets, Docs, Slides) and familiarity with CRM tools.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging participants and stakeholders.

  • Basic data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Amy’s Place is a partnership between the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Clarion Housing Group providing supported living accommodation for young women in recovery and receiving support with drug and alcohol issues.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate volunteer with good interpersonal skills and a desire to teach guitar, who will support young women to develop their guitar skills and positively encourage their creative expression.

Commitment

This is a flexible opportunity and volunteering times and frequency will vary depending on your availability and the needs of service users.  It might be every week or fortnight, 3 to 4 hours, ideally for a minimum of 3 months.

As a Till & Customer Service Volunteer at our Whitchurch shop, you will assist our shop managers by serving and greeting customers and keeping the shop organised.

Our Whitchurch shop is located in a lovely village setting, with many local and returning customers. Whitchurch village is a charity shop hotspot, meaning there is lots of competition.

The staff and volunteers ensure the stock is merchandised beautifully and priced competitively to keep the customer coming back.

The team have hosted many a film crew including for 'Hayley goes...' who visited the shop to understand how shopping at charity shops is environmentally responsible.

The shop is open 9am-5:15pm Monday-Saturday and we appreciate any time you can spare.

Our shops generate funds that directly support the whole family, from therapeutic services for children, to emotional and practical care for families, to sibling support activities & experiences.

Considerations:

Age requirement: 16+

Location: 50a Merthyr Road, Whitchurch

Commitment: Ideally, we would be looking for your support for at least 2 hours a week.

Current available shifts: Tuesdays

As a volunteer, you could be involved in various activities, depending on your preferences, skills and experience, these include:

•Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all customers entering the shop;

•Delivering excellent customer service to ensure a pleasant shopping experience;

•Handling cash transactions and operating the till with accuracy;

• Encouraging customers to sign up for Gift Aid, which increases the value of their donations;

• Selling and processing our raffle/lottery tickets;

• Acting as an ambassador for Tŷ Hafan, promoting our Big Ambition within your local community.

Are you looking for a Fundraising role that makes a real difference to a local charity? 

 At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, and our fundraising is vital to enable us to continue providing care and support to the children: it costs around £13 million a year to run our care services. 

We are looking for volunteers to join our fundraising team at Tesco's in Monkspath on Monday 22nd December and make a difference. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us collect donations from shoppers, supporting our cause in a rewarding environment. Plus, enjoys the convenience of free parking for all volunteers.

 How much time will it take?

The collection is from 10.00am – 4.00pm, but you can join us at any point for an hour or two.

  We can only accept volunteers who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must also apply as they need to accompany you for the duration of your volunteer activities.

Bucks Students’ Union is seeking to recruit a new Trustee to join our Board and help support our continued development. As a registered charity with a turnover in excess of £2.5 million and a career staff team of 50, Bucks Students’ Union provides a range of services to our diverse membership of c16,000 students.

Our services include an Advice Centre and Representation Department, a 1,200 capacity social space, a catering operation, a vibrant student newspaper and a wide-ranging programme of sporting, developmental, recreational and volunteering activities.

As part of our Board, you will support the Chief Executive Officer, the elected officers and the wider team in the continued delivery of our high-quality services and assuring the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

We would welcome applicants with a keen understanding of higher education and issues affecting students and a passion for supporting the development of organisations in the third sector as well as a strong alignment with our values. In particular, we would encourage applications from individuals with legal and/or governance experience.

All trustee positions are voluntary (expenses provided) and offer a range of personal development opportunities.
