About the role

As a Foundation we are committed to learning together with others and reflecting and acting on what we learn. The Learning & Insight Officer will play a key part in delivering our learning, monitoring and research activities, and we want the successful candidate to be able to develop their skills and interest within the role. They will work closely with the Head of Learning & Insight, wider Grants team colleagues and others across the Foundation to gather insights from our grants and wider work. These insights will inform our strategic direction and contribute to wider sector learning and understanding.

This is a permanent, full time role (35 hours) but we will also consider a part time role at 4 days/ 28 hours equivalent.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues to design and implement systems for the LEF to collect data and to capture and share learning in a systematic way that reflects our values and our commitment to Power, Cuture and Inclusion.

• Coordinate a timetable of activities for LEF to learn from its grants and direct work (such as regular feedback surveys and internal reflection sessions).

• Work with colleagues to collate and analyse evidence from organisations we fund to identify key insights and learning (such as reports and notes from grant management calls).

• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight and wider grants team colleagues to prepare our grants data for publication (for example through 360Giving and as part of the Funders for Racial Equality Alliance (FREA) Audit)

• Support the LEF to communicate insights in accessible and engaging ways.

• Work with colleagues to prepare key insight reports and data for a range of audiences such as colleagues, trustees or other funders.

• Work with colleagues to run internal sessions with staff and trustees to reflect on our processes (what is working well, less well and what we can improve about how we work) and understand the progress the LEF is making towards its strategic objectives.

• Work with colleagues to run online and in-person events to bring together the organisations and people we fund to reflect and learn from one another.

• Support the development of a ‘culture of learning’ within the LEF and with grantees and 

• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight to commission and manage external contractors for particular pieces of work (for example, research briefs or learning partnerships).

• Provide administrative support on tasks, such as scheduling meetings.

• Carry out such tasks as the Director of Grants & Learning or Head of Learning & Insight may from time to time deem necessary for the effective and efficient functioning of the Foundation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Fundraising Team at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will join our recently established Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) team to help us develop and nurture a range of corporate and philanthropic relationships. Together, we will significantly increase our income in support of the world leading research, treatment, and care that takes place across our hospitals in areas such as: childhood cancer, rare diseases, neonatal and maternal health, children and young people’s mental health, and critical care. 

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will be responsible for account managing a portfolio of new and existing corporate accounts to deliver a sustainable income growth year on year. In addition, they will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to support the day-to-day management of high value strategic partnerships and the delivery of business development activities. They will also contribute to the wider strategic aims of the P&P team to significantly grow both philanthropic and corporate partnership income and impact over the next three years. 

The ideal candidate will have strong corporate account management and communication skills (both verbally and in writing) ideally gained within a fundraising or sales/business development environment. They will be a self-starter with an appetite to make unsolicited approaches to businesses and individuals, along with the ability to develop and grow lasting relationships with corporate partners.  They will have strong time management skills, a motivation to work towards and achieve targets, and an appreciation of working for the NHS.

Day Care Officer – Day Care Centres 

Age UK Camden Day Care Centres are looking to recruit a Day Care Officer to cover 15 hours a week in shifts (3 x 5 hours) across our two Day Care Centres. 

There is a need to be flexible to be able to cover all days Monday to Friday and days are subject to change based on the rota. 

Our Centres provide a wide range of activities as well as being a specialist Day Care Centres caring for older people with complex needs. The Day Care Centres also provide a hot lunch and a range of special events. 

We have a dedicated, specialist team supporting people with care needs, including those living with mild - moderate dementia and complex needs. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Have shared responsibility in the team for the implementation of a comprehensive service of care and support for service users 

• Act as a key worker for individual clients

• Deliver holistic and person centred wellbeing services which provide service users with social interaction and support to maintain their personal interests. 

Salary: Starting at SCP 4 £25,209.19 pa incl. London Weighting for 35 hpw - pro rata for part time which is £10,803.94 pa for 15 hours per week) 

(Staff work across both centres so need to be able to travel to Kings Cross and Hampstead.  Shifts range in times across the day and you must be able to work all the various shifts)

As the breadth and volume of our fundraising activity has grown over the last couple of years, an opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and enthusiastic individual to join our database team. This role will be line managed by the Database Manager, with a dotted line to the Senior Database Officer to ensure the smooth running of our income processing activity, making a significant impact for the charity, and enabling excellent supporter care.

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department are preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

- Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our Philanthropy and Campaign teams builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign which is due to launch in 2025.

- Our database team sit within Fundraising, with their work underpinning and supporting the entire department.

Role and Responsibilities 

We are looking to recruit an experienced, innovative senior legal manager to manage our international Governance & Accountability Programme. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer (or international development professional with equivalent experience in rule of law /governance / NGO use of legal strategies), with deep enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of how our partners could use the law to achieve anti-corruption reform. A more detailed explanation of our organisational and programme strategy is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.

Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to learn at close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on how the law can be used to fight corruption and achieve environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs, CSOs, governments and government bodies. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. You will also nurture, build and maintain relationships with our funders. The role will involve outreach to new partners, programme management, drafting fundraising applications and donor reports, tracking impact, as well as evaluating and learning from projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Implement the strategic vision for ILP’s Governance and Accountability (G&A) programme, in conjunction with the Senior Programmes Director, Senior Counsel, Legal Fellows, Executive Director, partners, staff and Board; 

2. Develop an expert understanding of the most effective policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme’s objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, staff, Board and others; 

3. Build and maintain ILP’s G&A programme. This includes:

· Liaising with partners to identify legal/policy/campaign needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting analysis of their activities; 

· Creating an active pipeline of G&A projects and cases including environmental crime and corruption, through identifying and engaging in regular outreach with potential new partners; 

· Ensuring an even spread of G&A projects across the five strategic programme pillars;

· Identifying, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new highly experienced volunteer lawyers;

· Mapping and developing relationships with regional and international development entities and other technical assistance providers to identify potential partners, needs and focus countries; 

· Representing the programme in external fora and events; 

1. Ensure effective project delivery and evaluation of impact including: 

· Managing & coordinating project implementation through the full project cycle; 

· Delivering financial management for assignments including accurate budgeting, forecasting, accounting and reporting; 

· Supporting the development and maintenance of strong programme management and knowledge management systems and processes, including regular updating of ILP’s databases; 

1. Working closely with the Senior Counsel and Senior Programmes Director, lead fundraising activities to support both the G&A programme and organisational overheads, including exploring opportunities for potential funding with partners, liaising with and nurturing donors, designing funding applications and creating relevant budgets; 

2. Line management of G&A Legal Fellow;

3. Share in the necessary operational and administrative activities of the organisation and contribution to website and social media communications.

Candidate profile:

We are especially interested in candidates with the following skills and experience: 

· A qualified lawyer (or equivalent with significant relevant professional experience) with an  excellent understanding of how law is useful to achieving reform in our key strategic work areas: public procurement integrity, environmental crime and corruption, accountability for international corruption asset recovery, countering illicit asset flows and illicit asset recovery, and tackling the UK’s role as an international money laundering hub for enablers; 

· Understanding and enthusiasm for the concept and practice of pro bono legal assistance;

· Demonstrable project management skills and experience in an NGO (5+ years);

· Demonstrable experience in donor management, including drafting fundraising applications and budgets, nurturing new and managing existing relationships, meeting donor reporting requirements, drafting donor impact reports and raising funds for future projects and activities;

· Relevant experience and knowledge (either from previous work experience or study) relating to economic justice and/or environmental law and policy in an international development context;

· Ability to work on a wide range of tasks simultaneously, and at speed, including developing and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders (donors, NGOs, civil society organisations and government representatives), on an international basis;

· Demonstrable understanding (either from previous work experience or study) of key issues in sustainable international development, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals; 

· Excellent research skills; strong administration and coordination experience in an NGO setting;

· Strong interpersonal and team working skills; 

· Comfortable working independently and proactively and as part of a small team with a busy caseload;

· Very high level of fluency in spoken and written English;

· Working knowledge of another language such as Spanish (desirable).

The role:

This is a key role within the Executive Leadership team, with accountability for Finance, Procurement and IT at the Globe. You will work collaboratively with the CEO and Executive leadership team to drive strong business as usual delivery, and provide provide balanced insight to Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Group so that they can take responsibility for questioning routines and rituals, and for streamlining processes that improve efficiency.

Farm Cornwall Trustees are seeking applications for the post of Charity Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe.

 The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer.

This position requires excellent organisational, administrative, and stakeholder management skills, particularly within the charity or philanthropic sector.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, donation tracking, gift processing, and donor stewardship in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US. 
• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
• Collaborate closely with the ULI Europe Business Development and Membership team, ULI’s country directors, and the governance director to support the planning and implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy set by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors,, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Develop and manage internal processes for grant compliance, application tracking, reporting, and gift acknowledgement for ULI Europe.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Experience working in an operations, administration, or governance role within a UK or European charity, charitable trust, or foundation.
• Experience working in an international business environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Supporting the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, the Governance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that effective governance arrangements are in place across the organisation providing key support to the Institution in achieving its strategic and operational goals, and will drive innovation and a culture of continuous improvement in governance processes and procedures.

The Governance Manager will ensure effective management of the Board of Trustees, Congress and Committees of the Board, and will ensure that the Institution complies with its governing documents, relevant legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with all matters of charity and corporate governance.

Requirements

Organisational governance & compliance

• Provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees on all governance related matters, including the interpretation of IChemE’s governing documents to ensure excellent governance across the organisation.
• Continuously monitor developments in charity good governance practice, identifying areas for improvement in IChemE’s key governance processes and procedures.
• Effectively manage and communicate any changes in legislation or requirements of the charity commission and other relevant bodies.
• Ensure fulfilment of the governance requirements for all legal entities within IChemE including filings, returns, resolutions and maintenance of records and registers.
• Work with the Head of Finance & Compliance, and others, to ensure controls are embedded and compliance to IChemE’s governing documents is monitored escalating any non-compliance or risks as appropriate.
• Manage IChemE’s internal Corporate Information SharePoint site, ensuring version control of all documents and that information is readily available to internal users.

Governing documents

• Ensure that IChemE’s governing documents (including Royal Charter, By-Laws, Regulations and organisational policies) are kept under continual review, in particular to ensure compliance with, and reflect any changes required by, charity regulators.
• Manage the approval, communication and any necessary ballot for changes to the governing documents for all legal entities within IChemE.
• Regularly review IChemE’s committee structure and Scheme of Delegation to ensure they remain appropriate to meet the needs of the organisation.
• Ensure all committees and sub-committees / panels are properly constituted with clear Terms of Reference in place which are regularly reviewed an updated.

Board of Trustees, Congress and Committees

• Schedule all meetings of the Board of Trustees and committees to fall at strategic times during the year to enable in-depth consideration of agreed agenda items and efficient flow of information and decisions.
• Manage the preparation of high-quality Board and committee papers to facilitate effective discussion and decision making.
• Manage the effective running of Congress, IChemE’s member advisory body to the Board of Trustees.
• Provide follow-up to the Board, committee and Congress meetings through dialogue with senior colleagues and by moving forward outstanding action points.
• Lead on the succession planning and recruitment for the Board of Trustees, and Congress, managing the election process and any necessary ballot of members.
• Work with the Volunteer Engagement Manager, and others, to manage the effective succession planning for all committees.
• Manage the Board of Trustee and Congress induction programme and any ongoing training and development.
• Provide ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the Board of Trustees and Congress.

Legal support

• Develop and maintain IChemE’s contract management procedures.
• Review contracts and advise colleagues on contractual terms.
• Liaise with IChemE’s external legal advisors for support as and when required with the review of or preparation of contracts and agreements.

Other information

This is a permanent full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week working Monday through to Friday, but a degree of flexibility will be required to meet business needs. The position is based in the Rugby UK office (CV21 3HQ).

Starting salary will be circa £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits which includes an excellent pension scheme.

About the role

As Corporate Partnerships Officer, you'll play a crucial role within our highly successful corporate partnerships team. Your primary responsibility will be to administer, steward and nurture relationships with existing corporate supporters. You'll provide engaging correspondence to thank and inspire our supporters on the impact of their support to ensure their continued commitment and consistent income to achieve the charity's mission.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Provide the highest possible quality of experience and stewardship to the charity's corporate partners
• Efficiently keep up to date with donation payment schedules to ensure pledges are fulfilled
• Issue Donation Pledge and Logo Use invoice requests
• Provide acknowledgement emails and certificates
• Stay informed with the charity's core philanthropic and Carbon Balanced programmes and provide engaging email communications to our partners
• Maintain records and extract data from our CRM as required

About you

We're looking for a people-person who's passionate about building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to enhance stewardship. You'll be a highly collaborative team player, with exceptional, warm and professional communication skills. You'll have strong administrative skills and an investigative approach to resolving issues. Attention to detail, ability to plan and prioritise competing priorities, and strong numeracy skills are all skills which will help you succeed in this important role.

Ideally, you'll have previous experience administering and stewarding an existing client base and supporting longer-term relationships. You'll will also ideally have experience of working in fundraising in a non-profit organisation.

Vision of adventure, a small outdoor charity based in the Lake District , is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. To achieve this the organisation partners visually impaired individuals with sighted guides for residential weekends focusing on: long walks, canoeing, climbing, tandem biking, and more. The charity has a commendable track record of raising funds, and you will be expected to surpass these targets as a professional fundraiser. Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on supporting fundraising and stewarding high-net worth individuals, alongside supporting the wider work of the Partnerships Team to grow income from Trusts and Foundations.

Working with the Senior Partnerships Manager and Partnerships Assistant you will focus on stewarding, reporting to and securing income from our portfolio of existing high net worth individuals. Leading on the stewardship of a select portfolio of donors, supporting with mailings, appeals and thanking as well as developing prospects with the Individual Giving Team.

As part of a small energetic team, you will also support with specific projects and busy periods such as supporting the BBC Radio 4 Appeal and covering workloads during in-country visits to Ethiopia.

Main areas of responsibility, but not limited to:

Fundraising:

• Support income generation from a specific portfolio of high net worth individuals ‘Major Donors and Major Donor Prospects’
• Support delivery of the Major Donor mailing cycles and bespoke mailings including editing, data, printing and sorting.
• Ensure all donations are thanked and acknowledged in a professional and timely manner via relevant channels and by appropriate staff.
• Working to ensure online and offline communications include or exclude high net worth individuals in line with strategy and bespoke communication plans.
• Working with staff who manage our website to create and maintain bespoke landing pages and Partnership website pages
• Liaise with members of the wider team, specifically those working in Individual Giving to ensure; materials produced are always accurate & on brand and high net worth individuals receive any relevant communications produced by other teams
• Support wider fundraising activities and special appeals that involve high-net worth individuals
• Deliver on team KPIs and financial targets

Stewardship:

• Support Snr Partnerships Manager to ensure high net worth individuals bespoke Action plans are actioned and kept up to date.
• Support the stewardship of Major Donor Prospects and support development of donor pathways
• Lead on Major Donors Regular Giving stewardship:
• Working to uplift recurring gifts
• Secure new recurring gifts from Major Donors
• Coordinate a monthly regular giving membership newsletter Tibbir along with the Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving)

Support to the Partnerships Team

• Sharing partner project and budget updates as received
• Attend relevant Monitoring and Evaluation meetings (online)
