This role will provide in-depth debt advice casework and wrap around support for vulnerable local people.

You will have:

• Recent and ongoing paid or voluntary experience of managing your own caseload of money advice and income maximisation cases.
• Ability to write detailed up to date case notes, letters and reports as required in plain English.
• Ability to manage a challenging caseload, meet targets and prioritise work in the face of competing demands on your time.
• Ability to respond sensitively to clients from a variety of backgrounds who are under pressure and negotiate with third parties in order to minimise conflict.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities 

We build demand and interest in evidence across the Children’s Services sector 

This will include: 

• Running events, speaking at conferences and curating webinars to bring evidence to life for practitioners 
• We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.  

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Managing a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the children’s services sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver our children’s services system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time. 
• Work out the best way to make our system recommendations happen (due for publication in December 2026) and then do it – persuading the key people to make changes that make a difference.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan.

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then make those things happen. 

This will include:

• Helping children’s services leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on the YEF Children’s Services Practice Guidance – due for publication in May 2026. 
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave. 
• Creating practical tools and resources that help leaders put evidence into action 
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

Role summary 

Join the leading UK charity dedicated to supporting babies born premature, to lead a new programme of work in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive programme lead or project manager to lead engagement with healthcare teams and parents/carers across Wales to improve care for babies across 9 neonatal units, focussing especially on babies who face the biggest challenges.

Every year in Wales, around 2800 babies are born premature or sick and needing care on a neonatal unit – this isn’t what most parents expect for their baby. Many of these babies, and their families, will face inequalities which relate to their ethnicity, or their socio-economic disadvantage.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for someone with the skills for engagement and project management to join team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to help lead an exciting new programme of work, to understand the needs of parents and healthcare teams across Wales, to increase reach and impact in the country.

Role details

TBliss has recently been awarded a one-year grant from the Welsh Government to deliver a programme of work to support and drive neonatal service transformation across the country. In line with Bliss new 4-year strategy, this programme will work with neonatal healthcare professionals across the 9 neonatal units in Wales, support families whose babies need this vital care, and include research and policy work to improve care across the country.

The programme lead will coordinate the work of this programme, which will be managed by teams across Bliss, and lead on the engagement of parents and healthcare teams across Wales. During the 12 months of the funding agreement, to the end of September 2026, the programme will:
•Raise awareness of and access to Bliss’ information and support for parents
•Support all neonatal units to progress through Bliss’ Baby Charter standards
•Undertake service-user involvement work to inform the development of a new digital parent support service
•Undertake engagement work with health professionals to inform training and the development of resources to support the delivery of Family Integrated Care (FICare)
•Carry out a policy research project on neonatal inequalities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

•Proven ability to build effective internal and external relationships with a range of stakeholders
•Strong experience of project management, able to juggle multiple priorities and coordinate with others to deliver activities on time and to budget

We are recruiting for an Admissions and Assessment Coordinator to join our Specialist Family Residential Service in Sheffield. The service provides drug and alcohol recovery support for parents and their children in a residential setting.

The hours are full time, Monday to Friday 9-5, based at the Sheffield Family Residential Service, and you will be expected to take part in a on call rota to support the staff and service delivery. Flexible working can be considered.

The service is based close to Eccelsall Road/Sheffield Hallam Collegiate Campus area of Sheffield, it is easily accessible. Situated in a large Victorian Building, fully refurbished in 2022, there is free on-site parking as well and is also easily access by multiple bus routes.

The Role

We need someone who can work in a team within a residential family setting and be empowering and passionate in supporting families to make positive changes in their drug and alcohol lifestyle choices. Your role would include the following:

• To manage all enquiries and referrals made to the service, undertake comprehensive needs assessments and risk assessment for individuals.
• Liaise with Residential Manager to make placement decisions about the suitability of individuals with multiple needs.
• Welcome new residents into the service and ensure all needs of the individuals are met upon arrival.
• Be responsible for data management of referrals, assessments, ensuring all admissions are managed safely and report data in line with processes in place.
• Liaise with referrers and stakeholders to ensure promotion of new relationships and existing relationships are maintained

Whilst the service is 24/7, this role is Monday to Friday with flexible working opportunities.

• Experience of working with people and families with multiple and varying needs including addiction and have a working knowledge of residential rehabilitation and strengthening recovery capital.
• Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders and nurturing relationships, you will be able to confidently provide guidance and support to individuals, families, and stake holders in relation to accessing and developing residential rehabilitation pathways into the service.
• Experience of completing robust assessments and risk management plans.

About the role

The health information team produces high quality, accessible health and patient information for people affected by breast cancer or worried about their breast health.  Our printed information is used by healthcare professionals across the UK and our online information includes over 200 webpages.  For this new role, we’re looking for an organised and collaborative individual to support the administration functions in the team, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and people affected by breast cancer and help monitor and report on the impact of our activity.

About you

You’re an excellent communicator with good customer services skills, who enjoys working with others. You’re organised and able to juggle multiple projects. You’ll ideally have experience of using Excel to show statistical information and are familiar with the use of a CRM database.

The Role
As the Deputy Team Leader (Court Services), working alongside Team Leaders you will be responsible for the delivery of the Witness Service within your court/s (as mentioned above).

You will share responsibility for the effective coordination and development of volunteers who support witnesses in their journey through the criminal justice system.

You will be responsible for general service administrative tasks within the courts, as well as inputting service data.

This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing the core operational functions of finance, HR and health and safety across the organisation.  You will be responsible for leading on all aspects of these areas ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, supporting our people and maintaining effective financial management.

This role is vital to ensure the organisation remains compliant, operationally effective and a safe and supportive workplace for all employees. You will be responsible for all day-to-day activities that enable us to reach our vision for the city, and work closely with senior management to support wider organisational strategic goals.

Main duties:

· Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and petty cash

· Support the preparation of financial management reports, accounts and statements

· Handle Payroll administration, pension schemes, and GiftAid claims, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.

·      Oversee grant and funding reporting in line with funding requirements

· Develop and monitor the annual budget with leadership input, and review expenditure with department Leads

· Line manage the one team member

· Provide core administration functions for the building, including answering phone and email queries

· Work with external accountants and auditors as required

· Oversee financial and contractual aspects of OTF’s properties, including utilities, tenancy agreements, and maintenance contracts.

· Maintain and update the health and safety policies and processes

· Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and best practice across the organisation, promoting a positive safety culture.

· Provide training and guidance on health and safety issues, including first aid, manual handling and fire safety

· Carry out workplace risk assessments and implement control measures

· Act as the main point of contact for audits and inspections and investigating accidents when they arise

· Maintain and update HR policies and processes in line with current legislation

· Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations processes.

· Ensure compliance with HR and financial regulations.

· Oversee and manage sickness, absences and annual leave ensuring compliance with policies.

· Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement workforce planning strategies and staff wellbeing initiatives.

· Lead Bible studies, prayer meetings for staff, volunteers and at external events as required

· Be an active member of the Off the Fence leadership team

Key attributes and experience required for the role:

· Proven experience in HR, Finance and/or Health and Safety roles (Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role)

· Strong knowledge of UK employment law in practice, H&S legislation and financial processes

· Strong alignment with the vision of Off the Fence, and a commitment to our organisational focus

· Excellent organisational and time management skills

· High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

· Ability to interpret policies, legislation and data effectively

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, HR and finance systems such as QuickBooks and Bright HR (or equivalent)

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with staff at all levels

· Formal professional qualification in HR, H&S or finance
