This full time role involves processing orders from online, phone and post and answering queries.
As part of the Supporter Services team:
- Respond to customer queries received by telephone, letter, and email, always providing a high standard of customer service.
- Process books, subscriptions and events orders received by post, telephone and online.
- Pack and post orders that require sending from the office.
- Process donations received by all forms, including web donations.
- Allocate payments received by BACS, cheque, or credit card.
- Conduct sales ledger reconciliations.
- Open and distribute the post.
- Assist in credit control.
- Manage office stock levels.
- Assist in processing of renewals and subscription releases.
- Order office and event stock.
- Circulate advance copies.
- Assist finance team with statements to account.
- Administrative support to the Operations team as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience delivering high levels of customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high degree of confident on the phone.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, order processing and accounts packages.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task.

What will you do?

This is an integral part of the development team, providing essential support across various fundraising initiatives and providing excellent supporter stewardship (nurturing our supporters/fundraisers on their journey with us). SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.
Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. Office Location – Wendover, Bucks.
Salary - Up to £30,000 (FTE)

About the Role
The Events Fundraiser will support the charity’s aim to provide all life-limited children, their families, and carers, within their hospice, emotional support through the power and pleasure of nature. The post holder will be responsible for generating income through the management of a range of fundraising events, as well as supporting individuals organising their own fundraising activities within their community and/or corporate environment.
You will ensure efficient event management and administration as well as provide excellent supporter care.
The Event Fundraiser will:
- Project manage a range of events, including planning, marketing, and supporter stewardship, through to event delivery and evaluation.
- Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver and schedule events, on time, within budget, meeting fundraising goals.
- Deliver exceptional supporter care to those who support the work of the charity.

- Ensure the supporter database is accurate and up to date, as well as follow all relevant financial processes to ensure event income and expenditure are accurately recorded.

The Role
You will be part of a large, creative, and highly skilled group of colleagues in the Department of Mission and Ministry. About You

The Organisation

The Role
The organisation is fully committed to the protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults involved in the life of the Church in the second-largest diocese in England. The safeguarding adviser will manage safeguarding referrals and undertake casework within Oxfordshire. The casework will involve situations of current and past abuse which occurred within a church context and ensure survivors of abuse have access to support and services.
The role will involve advising church officers and clergy in dealing with safeguarding concerns and ensuring that practice is in line with national Church of England policy and guidance.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, has excellent interpersonal skills and will want to promote best practice within safeguarding. You will work alongside parishes as they ensure that churches are safe for all by providing support, advice and guidance.
You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work with us - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins the work it does. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.
The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified caseworker in a field relevant to safeguarding such as social work, social justice, police work, or probation with current registration where applicable. You will have the ability to demonstrate transferrable knowledge across the client groups, as well as experience working with victims or survivors of abuse is a must.
Please note this role does require the post holder to have the ability to travel within a large geographical and sometimes within rural areas where there is no access to public transport when required.
