The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the parish office and will be the first point of contact for all those wishing to access any business of the Parish. 

This position requires proficiency in various clerical tasks, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

We’re recruiting a fundraiser and project development manager to build on our creative, award-winning work addressing climate change and fuel poverty in practical, tangible ways. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision of a different energy future: one in which energy is generated renewably and used sustainably whilst leaving no one behind in the journey. We are looking for someone who understands the energy sector and the unique role that a community energy group can play in the energy transition. It is a role for someone who can imagine community solutions to energy sector issues and to translate these into fundable projects. 

Your role will be to work with our board of Directors and staff to come to an understanding of our mission and values and our strategic priorities and develop and resource projects that will enable us to meet those priorities filling gaps in provision. In a practical sense, you will work with stakeholders e.g. our staff, our members, local community groups, local authorities and clients to generate ideas for future projects. The direction of travel should be broadly determined by our recent strategic review.

You will work closely with our CEO and our Board of Directors to prioritise project ideas. You will develop partnerships, refine project ideas, identify sources of funding (Trusts and Grantmakers, Corporate Giving), draft bids and cost delivery on a full cost recovery basis, submit bids and if funding is awarded, mobilise the team to deliver the work. This role provides a big and exciting challenge for someone who knows the energy sector, understands the opportunity of community and grassroots solutions, who brings excellent written communication skills and is willing to learn how to fundraise.

Responsibilities:

Grant Fundraising Support:

• Work with the Selce community (the board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders) to generate new project ideas that support our strategic mission 
• Research and identify potential grant-making trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies that will fund project proposals
• Prepare high-quality grant applications; this includes calculating budget requirements, formulating proposals, writing proposals
• Manage the grant administration process and maintain accurate records of funding opportunities and applications in the fundraising calendar.

Commissioned Work & Tendering Support:

• Assist in researching and identifying opportunities for commissioned work.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and proposals, including gathering necessary information, budgeting and formatting submissions.
• Provide administrative support for contract negotiation and agreement finalisation.

Community Share Capital

• Draft community share offer brochures and associated documentation
• Support the implementation of strategies to raise community share capital.
• Assist in planning and executing share offer campaigns, including preparing marketing materials and organising investor events.
• Help manage investor communications and data, ensuring compliance with cooperative principles and financial regulations.

Develop and Maintain Relationships

• Assist in building and nurturing relationships with funders, commissioners, and community investors through effective communication.

Skills & Experience:

The ability to imagine and innovate and thereby build fundable project-based solutions working in partnership with stakeholders is more important that fundraising experience per se. This post would suit an Energy Policy graduate that has experience of either community energy or journalism (and therefore brings strong writing skills) or environmental projects

In this exciting role, you will be a critical member of our influencing team, helping to bring the voice of people living with arthritis right into the heart of Westminster. Role Overview: Knowledge in grant-funding, capacity building, organisational support

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Charity Support Officer to help deliver AWN’s mission. You will be the first point of contact for grassroots charities, supporting them to strengthen their organisations and improve their chances of securing grant funding by offering practical guidance, signposting, and building trusted relationships that help them grow in confidence and resilience. The role includes helping organisations strengthen governance and compliance, sharing information on grant-funding opportunities, and supporting them to identify challenges and develop practical solutions.
 
The non-profits you will support work across a wide range of areas for example: women, health and wellbeing, youth, homelessness and poverty, family services, sports, faith groups, crime and gangs, prisoners and ex-offenders, refugees and asylum seekers, drug addiction, older people and rehabilitation, and many more. 
 
Bringing a strong awareness of the barriers facing small charities particularly Muslim-led groups, will be key to helping them build long-term sustainability and impact. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for charities and community groups, managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities. 

• Carry out needs assessments to understand organisations strengths, challenges, and funding needs, and develop clear action plans. 

• Provide tailored support, including health checks on governance, compliance, finances, and funding readiness, offering recommendations and signposting to specialist services (e.g., Cranfield Trust, CVS, Charity Excellence etc). 

• Advise on funding opportunities, strategy, and application readiness, with referrals to bid-writing support where needed. 

• Deliver workshops, webinars, events, and one-to-one sessions to build skills, knowledge, and confidence of UK grassroots organisations.

Temporary Individual Giving Officer – £16.48 per hour – London

Our charity-sector client is seeking a Temporary Individual Giving Officer to join their Fundraising, Engagement & Communications team for approximately 2 months.

This is a great opportunity for someone with individual giving experience to step in and provide vital support across appeals, stewardship, and donor communications. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality supporter care while helping to ensure campaigns run smoothly.

The role

• Support the delivery and analysis of direct mail and other appeals

• Help coordinate donor stewardship, including regular givers and mid-value supporters

• Maintain accurate supporter data in Salesforce, ensuring GDPR compliance

• Respond to supporter enquiries by post, phone and email

• Assist with trading programmes and merchandise fulfilment

• Provide administrative and reporting support to the fundraising team

• Contribute to events and community fundraising activities as required

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working in individual giving or supporter care in the charity sector

• Understanding of Gift Aid, GDPR and data protection (or willingness to learn)

• Strong organisational and project support skills

• Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce desirable)

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• The ability to juggle multiple tasks and work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial transactions and entries, prepare and process income receipts and maintain accurate digital records and ensure proper filing of all financial documentation on internal systems.
• Review, verify, and process payments to suppliers and sub-grantees, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and compliant with internal controls.
• Create and close financial grants for codes; monitor and update internal trackers for grant management; track and report balances across active grants and funding streams; and complete grant reconciliations.

• Lead in preparing sub-grantee agreements, and processing of cash requests.

Requirements

• PQ accountant with experience of working in an international organisation working across multiple countries. Strong experience of accounts processing, financial accounting and reporting, and of supporting budgeting and financial management.
• Experience and understanding of the compliance and administrative of a complex grants portfolio, including grants from institutions donors.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues working globally.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and a strong command of the English language.

This is a key role at the heart of the organisation’s Corporate Services team, supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Board of Trustees to ensure high standards of governance and compliance. You will play a central role in preparing and circulating Board and Committee papers, taking clear and accurate minutes, maintaining registers, supporting audits, and tracking progress on key actions. You will contribute to risk assessments, ensure regulatory requirements are met, and provide trusted administrative support to the COO. We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and charity regulation, as well as experience supporting Boards and senior leadership. Tact, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with senior leaders and trustees.
