East Anglian Air Ambulance is a regional charity providing life-saving care across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond. With two state of the art helicopters and a fleet of rapid response vehicles our crew of critical care paramedics and specialist doctors bring their advanced skills, equipment and medicine to the scene of the incident in the fastest time possible.
The role will support the operations, clinical and aviation stakeholders in the delivery of their function and has a significant impact on the provision of high standards of patient care by the Clinical Teams.
You will coordinate all clinical duty rostering to ensure maximum operational cover, planning clinical staff supervision alongside the operational rota fulfilment and ensuring compliance with rota rules and fatigue management policies. You will also control and monitor on-call rotas, ensuring documents are produced for monthly payroll.
Using your experience of working within an operations environment, you will guide and suggest operational development and policy change to maximise the efficiency of the operations team. You will supervise and coordinate the stock maintenance of medical equipment, drugs and PPE at both EAAA bases ensuring robust and resilient supply chains are in place.
Flexibility is required within this role as the post holder will undertake regular on-call responsibilities, providing guidance regarding operations and estates issues outside of normal working hours.

You will contribute directly to our mission by leading the delivery of our school events programme. This includes responsibility for all aspects of event planning, delivery, and management, partner and volunteer development and management, audience development and evaluation, and events budgeting.

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Responsibilities: Finance
- Expense and invoice Management: Accurately file and record expenses and invoices using QuickBooks or Xero
- Payments: weekly payment run and payroll
- Cash flow reporting: Assist in preparing and maintaining monthly cash flow reports and tracking spend across projects as directed by the CFO

Compensation and Benefits
- This role is two days a week. We are open to this being two full full days or the allocation being stretched across the week.
- The contract is being offered on a one year fixed-term contract at 37,000 GBP pro-rata with a strong possibility of extension

Responsibilities and duties
Provide effective and efficient HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle for both Purposeful Ventures and its incubated ventures and funds, including:
- being the first point of contact for the HR mailbox;
- managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes;
- coordinating all HR admin processes;
- upkeep of the HR Information System, CharlieHR; and
- administration of all recruitment procedures from job application to appointment, using Team Tailor.
Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Purposeful Ventures Team, by providing team coordination and administrative support, including:
- being the first point of contact for general enquiries;
- managing the team calendar;
- supporting the external IT services contractor;
- providing research and administrative support to the COO;
- ensuring the efficient management of CRM information, team and project documents and templates; and
- minuting incubated ventures’ project board meetings as needed.
Ensure that the Purposeful Ventures team has a pleasant and productive working environment by:
- supporting the operations team to make the Purposeful Ventures office a pleasant, productive, inspiring environment for staff and contractors to work and collaborate;
- keeping the Purposeful Ventures office well stocked with agreed supplies;
- managing the day-to-day coordination of the office and office visitors; and
- monitoring office IT equipment, ensuring items are working well and repaired swiftly and that staff have access to the facilities they need.
Contribute to the smooth running of our finance processes, providing support to finance staff including mailbox monitoring and expenses submissions.

ABOUT DEMOCRACY CLASSROOM
Democracy Classroom is a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections and democracy. The network supports collaboration through newsletters, training, meet up’s and an annual conference, as well as providing resources and training for teachers and youth practitioners. Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom Platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.
Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK.
The aims of the network include:
Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.
Increasing the number of teachers and youth workers delivering democratic education, and strengthening their capacity to deliver impactful democratic engagement and voter registration activities in schools, colleges and youth settings across the UK.
Improving coordination between organisations engaging young people across the youth, education and democracy sectors, through growing the Democracy Classroom network.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will work with the Director and the Programme Manager of Democracy Classroom to support the growth of the Democracy Classroom network by managing the website / platform. They will:
- Liaise with partners to compile learning resources and training opportunities to share on the platform.
- Add resources, training opportunities and other relevant information to the platform as required.
- Ensure the platform is kept up to date and accessible.
- Support Democracy Classroom communication channels - producing Democracy Classroom newsletters and creating engaging social media content to highlight the work of partners, their learning resources and training opportunities, on the platform.
The post holder will also:
- Coordinate training for teachers and youth workers to deliver election education materials.
- Manage the Democracy Classroom database.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide administrative support for the Democracy Classroom network and other The Politics Project programmes and activities where required.
The job is based on a 12 month, fixed term contract (including a 6-month probation period), with opportunities for extension.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in the evenings and at weekends may be required.
