Could you develop and delivery new innovative health partnerships for the British Heart Foundation (BHF)?
We have an exciting 18-month fixed term opportunity to join British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Health Partnerships & Community Resuscitation Team to deliver partnerships which make a lifesaving, life improving impact.
Through our work we want to reach more people, in new ways, with greater impact, involving more people in their heart and circulatory health and care, and in the work of BHF. This will improve health outcomes and help ensure that BHF strengthens its position as the nation’s heart charity.
About the role
In this role you’ll contribute to the operational delivery of innovative health partnerships for BHF. These partnerships help us to reach, on a mass scale, people at risk or living with heart and circulatory diseases; working with large corporate organisations, other charities, and community groups to provide information, support and skills in innovative ways to improve health awareness, support self-management and reduce health inequalities.
As part of the Health Partnerships team, you’ll support several health partners, delivering agreed activity and maximising the opportunity to reach their workforce and customers with our free health initiatives.
You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across BHF particularly in our Medical and Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement teams, as well as external partners to meet agreed aims and objectives. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
Need more help balancing your work and home life? Talk to us about what flexibility is available at the application or interview stage.
About you
With knowledge and an understanding of BHF and organisational objectives, you’ll have previous experience delivering projects in large, complex organisations, as well as the knack of developing relationships with internal and external key stakeholders quickly, and with ease.
You’ll have previous experience supporting the delivery of high impact partnerships in either a charity or health-related environment and will have experience managing own workload and key areas of responsibility.

We have grown rapidly since 2021 and so still have a start-up culture and often deal with competing priorities at a fast pace.
The aim of Black Queer & Thriving is to explore the health and wellbeing needs of Black LGBTQ+ people in Lambeth and Southwark, develop community research that details these needs with the Working Group and use the outcome to influence local policy and infrastructure.

We are looking for a Policy Officer to join our Wales Land and Sea Policy and Advocacy Team to develop and advocate RSPB Cymru policy positions and proposals on sustainable farming and land management, including the effective use of nature-based solutions. - Working closely with staff delivering communications and public engagement to build public and political support for our land use and management policy priorities.
- Increasing public awareness about the connection between land use/management, farming, food and the dual nature and climate emergency.
We are looking for a professional, persuasive and engaging individual with an excellent understanding of current agricultural and land use policy as tools to ensure outcomes for nature, and credibility within relevant stakeholder communities. They should have the skills and personality to be able to bring together dynamic coalitions of interested stakeholders to build, shape and advocate for new policies to secure sustainable land management that is good for people and good for nature.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience of working in a policy or advocacy role to influence the development of government policy.
- Experience of advocating policy effectively to external audiences (including government, relevant businesses, NGOs) to further specific policy and advocacy objectives.
- Knowledge of biodiversity and climate policy and policy drivers at international, EU, UK and Wales level
- Knowledge of EU, UK and Wales institutions relevant to the role
- Ability to monitor external policy developments and horizon scan for relevant issues and opportunities
