About you

About the role

- Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive
- Administer day-to-day financial processes and the accounts@ email, helping staff with their finance queries.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. We’re looking for a motivated Grants and Administration Officer. We are happy to consider someone who is newer to grant-making but with deep experience of the charitable sector. Duties
Grants assessment and management:
• Process grant applications. This includes:
o Visiting, meeting and corresponding with applicants.
o Reviewing, requesting and analysing relevant information.
o Providing feedback on unsuccessful applications.

• Monitor progress on grants awarded.

I'm recruiting for a leading health related charity. They require a Customer Services & Administration Manager to join them on a temporary basis starting ASAP, this role will run for a few months, and ideally the temp will be considered for a more permanent position in the charity. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, requiring you to be in the London office a few days per week to ensure the smooth running of the office and to manage the team of direct reports. If you prefer, you can work remotely the rest of the week. This is a busy, and varied role, the bulk of the role is managing the supporter care function, managing the efficiency of processing income, coupled with people management and office management.
The Customer Services and Administration Manager will ensure that the team functions efficiently and effectively to deliver an excellent customer care service. The team respond to Gift Aid questions and queries, and process credit and debit card donations made via the supporters, both online and by phone. You will support the maintenance of the charity's BACS and direct debit system and producing direct debit claims in line with BACS rules and regulations.
You will conduct weekly 1-2-1's with your several direct reports, and attend any important meetings required. Other duties include ensuring the office and processing runs smoothly, managing the staff rota system, financial administration, dealing with any complaints and ensuring supporters are receiving the highest level of customer care.
The successful postholder will bring experience of managing a customer services/ supporter care team, where they have strong knowledge and experience around processing, thanking supporters, BACS direct debit claiming process, and Gift Aid regulations, as well as line management experience.

The role coordinates work across LSO Discovery’s orchestral concerts for young people and communities, including the Key Stage concerts for schools, Family concerts, and the Discovery Showcase, and coordinates singing activities through the LSO Gospel Community Voices project and the LSO Discovery Choirs. The role reports to the Schools and Partnerships Projects Manager.
This is a full-time role.
We are looking for someone with the following experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in an arts organization
- Experience in coordinating or supporting the administration of music education projects.
- Knowledge of and interest in vocal music
- A commitment to, and some knowledge of music education in the UK
- Ability to read music and mark up scores.
- Ability to successfully communicate with a wide range of artists, participants, and partners.
- Ability to work both as part of a team as well as working under their initiative.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise a workload.
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Experience working with young people aged under 18, with teachers, and with families
- Experience in Safeguarding and working in the interests of the safety and well-being of young and/or vulnerable people.

We are looking for a part time Membership Officer to work 3 days a week, alongside our existing part time Membership Officer. Together, they will lead on administrative support of our membership functions. Job purpose
This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial sustainability and integrity of LGT, developing resilient foundations for our front-line services, community development, policy and campaigns work to grow in scale and impact.
Working closely with the CEO, Project and Team Leads, you’ll lead all aspects of financial management from budgeting, accounting and compliance, financial management of grants, to reporting to the Finance Committee to support the Board of Trustees and leadership with financial planning and decision making. Finance is the core of the role, however you’ll also use your data management and organisation skills to help us maintain and develop our workflow and data management systems and processes, and oversee other core operational functions delivered by our Business Operations Administrator.
We are a small, collaborative and committed team, with ambitious plans to grow the impact of our work and to diversify and grow our income in the coming years. Role responsibilities
1. Financial leadership: Strategic finance leadership including financial modelling, meeting reserves targets, contributing to long term funding strategy, income diversification and risk management.
2. Budget management: Lead timely and detailed budget setting, monitoring and reporting across the organisation including management accounts.
3. Finance systems: Manage and develop the end-to-end finance system including day to day bookkeeping processes for the organisation, keeping track of income and outgoings, reconciliations and maintaining efficient systems and processes.
4. Banking and payments: Supervise outsourced payroll and pensions provider, administer internal payments processing and maintain all relevant banking administration and other relevant online accounts.
5. Grant management: Lead financial reporting for multiple grants, keeping track of deadlines, delegating tasks and preparing budgets for new grant and commissioning opportunities.
6. Compliance: Ensure appropriately robust financial controls, including compliance with Companies House, Charity Commission requirements, preparation and liaison for annual audits with our accountant.
7. Governance: Prepare budget and finance information for the Board of Trustees, also liaising with and servicing the Board Finance Committee.
8. Operations: Oversee a Business Operations Administrator fulfilling core operational functions including payroll, procurement, contracts with service providers and outsourced functions including IT.
9. Data and organisational systems: Play a leadership role championing efficient workflow management, reporting systems, and the continuous improvement of data capture, storage and analysis across the organisation.
10. Supervision and teamwork: Collaborate effectively with all colleagues, with frequent delegation, potential for supervision of line-reports, and support with occasional coaching on financial systems and requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
1. Experience of working in a finance management role in a charity or social impact-driven context.
2. Ability to operate strategically, proactively flagging and acting on opportunities and risks for the organisation.
3. Experience of delivering and managing all core finance and accounting processes to support budgeting, reporting which supports sound financial management and decision making.
4. Experience of financial management for grants and restricted funds, including drafting project budgets and financial reporting.
5. Experience of identifying and implementing improvements to financial controls, processes and operational systems.
6. Experience of short and longer-term financial planning to support financial resilience building.
7. Good Excel skills to support full cost recovery and income diversification strategies.
8. Experience using database/CRM technologies to store and analyse data.
