Senior Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sue Ryder for a Senior Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manager to lead, manage and develop our Legacy and In Memory Strategies to deliver sustainable long-term income growth.
Sue Ryder has a dedicated focus on investing in our legacy giving and we are looking for a passionate and dynamic leader to take on this integral role within the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of High Value and Legacy Fundraising you will:
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the development, delivery and implementation of the Legacy Strategy to deliver sustainable long-term growth
• Lead the Legacy and In-Memory team to maximise Legacy & In-Memory income for Sue Ryder and ensure an excellent stewardship and supporter experience
• Be able to interpret and act on data insight and produce robust reports about legacy income and the legacy pipeline
• Work with colleagues to ensure excellent stewardship is followed through in the Charity’s administration of legacy gifts
• Take the lead on the annual planning budgets, forecasting and variance reporting on monthly management accounts for Legacy and In-Memory Giving
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in Legacy and In Memory Giving
• Plan and lead innovative marketing campaigns including using digital channels
• Lead and manage the promotion of Legacy & In Memory Giving, working closely with colleagues in the care centres and across the organisation to promote a Legacy culture and drive growth across the legacy pipeline
The successful applicant will bring:
• Extensive Legacy & In Memory fundraising experience with a minimum of two years at manager level
• A track record of delivering innovation in generating income from Legacies
• Experience of planning, implementing and monitoring large budgets to agreed deadlines
• Experience of leading, inspiring and empowering colleagues to promote legacies and deliver excellent results
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral with the proven ability to communicate with persuasion and credibility
• Excellent Marketing skills to deliver growth from consumer marketing across multiple mediums including digital
• Experience of managing and motivating advertising/marketing agencies to deliver exceptional results
• The ability to analyse data and produce detailed reporting on campaigns and performance
• A thorough understanding of the Legacy Administration process and ILM standards

What the job involves
We’re looking an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our high performing Events and Community Team. The team are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:
- Our own events (e.g. March for Men)
- Virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)
- Third party events (e.g. London Marathon)
- Golf Days
- Helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity
You’ll be supporting our third-party events programme and be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin support for our registration processes and support fundraisers through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience.
Whilst third party events will be your primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also get the chance to work across teams to provide support where needed during busy periods of activity.
This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Enthuse. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
You’ll also work with our Communications teams supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

People Team Advisor
Job Role:
We need an exceptional People Team Advisor. This is a key post in supporting the management and staff of the FEC. The Forces Employment Charity to be effective in their roles and provide the very best quality of provision to our external delivery. The successful candidate will have responsibility and accountability for the full employee support life cycle and will be involved in all areas of the Human Resources function under the direction of Head of People. The post holder will be expected to work as part of the HR team in the provision of a comprehensive HR service. The post holder will be required to work closely with all employees at all levels
This is a full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid contract reporting to Head of People. The successful candidate will be required to travel to the London office 2 days per week – immediate start date but will wait for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service to all stakeholders in all employee life cycle in generalist capacity including resource, employee relations, learning & development, and reward, in accordance with the consistent application of charity policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practice.
- Produce employment contracts and variation to contracts in line with authorised management requests.
- Manage and Support onboarding processes with People Administrator.
- Work closely with the People and Payroll Department to ensure workforce information is kept up to date, employment changes are notified, and any problems identified and addressed.
- Issue timely and accurate payroll instructions, to meet payroll deadlines by working with People Team in specific Administrator.
- Manage staff sickness and absence in accordance with the sickness absence management policy, notifying team managers of absence thresholds and advising on Company Sick Pay limitations.
- Manage and support the implementation and monitoring of HR processes including pre-employment checks (right to work), Enhanced DBS vetting and MOD security clearance, employment contracts and variations, starters and leavers, induction, mandatory/other training, probationary period review, performance and development review, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, flexible working requests and the evaluation of training.
- Provide and Support Administrator in the management information reports relating to HR, for example absence data, annual leave allowances, training compliance etc.
- Work with team managers to ensure all information (e.g., jobs descriptions, working hours and patterns, etc.) is consistent and up to date.
- Support Head of People in the development of HR policies, Rewards/Benefits, and other HR related projects, as requested.
- Input, maintenance, and provision of all HR data held within the HR Management System (PeopleHR) ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain the People Team cloud-based e-filing system to ensure documents and information are retained and easy to locate.
- Initiate and co-ordinate progress of all mandatory staff training (in accordance with the training matrix) reporting compliance issues to managers.
- Be prepared to support all HR Administrator activities during periods of absence.
- Working alongside People Administrator and supporting the Head of People and site leadership team driving the delivery of the people agenda across the organization.
- Supporting the management team with ER issues and providing generalist support and advice on a variety of cases
- Playing an active role in forward thinking and fast action responses to the control of absence and retention ensuring contractual KPIs are achieved and maintained.
- Ensuring relevant management training is identified, sourced, and delivered, promoting a culture of learning and development across the organisation.
- Partnering with the other business areas and providing support in HR related activities.
- Participate in the charity’s appraisal scheme and support staff compliance (probation and annual appraisals).
- Be familiar with all charity policies and be prepared to advise/direct staff on compliance as appropriate.
- Ensure Data Protection and GDPR compliance.
- Maintain awareness of the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy and Display Screen Equipment assessments.
- Work to the charity’s quality standards and systems within the context of the ISO 9001 Business Management System.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Competencies:
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced HR team, providing first level advice on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues.
- Be up to date with current employment law.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills, with a good foundation in HR theory.
- The ability to multitask and deal with a range of incoming enquiries – organisation is key to the success of this role.
- Ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions.
- Excellent IT skills specifically HR Management Systems and MS Office applications; particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to form and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, colleagues, service users and key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to positively challenge, influence and coach managers whilst providing a supporting service outcome.
- Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude and determination to ‘get under the skin of problems’ and identify pragmatic solutions.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. SPANA - The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad is the global charity for working animals in low-income countries. We are looking for a Global Resources Coordinator to ensure operations within our global resources team run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include providing general administrative support to different teams within Global Resources, manage supply of office resources and equipment, arrange travel, managing relationships with key suppliers, coordinating schedules and meetings and supporting HR administrative duties.
