At Earlsfield Foodbank, our mission is to create a profound and lasting impact on our community. We are an independent foodbank set up in 2013 and are part of the Independent Food Aid Network.

Summary of Role
Work in collaboration with the Head of Service to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Foodbank. You will manage and support a team of volunteers, leading by example to ensure the Foodbank operates smoothly and the continuity of delivery standards within the guidelines of EFB policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working or volunteering in a Foodbank. They will be a strong leader and be hard-working, organised, collaborative and confident. They must be passionate about tackling poverty, deprivation and injustice and have a non-judgemental and positive attitude towards people who require support.

Main purpose of job: To work in the Navigator team supporting individuals who have or are experiencing sexual violence and or sexual abuse. As a first contact worker, you will act as a gateway to both specialist counselling and advocacy services and additional specialist support services in Essex. The support you deliver will help individuals on their pathway to wellbeing, recovery, and social inclusion through building trusting and collaborative relationships. Job Description
The First Contact Navigators play a central role in the CARA team, ensuring that our service users and other agencies receive a high-quality service from the moment of first contact. You will work as part of a wider team of First Contact Navigators across Esse and the post liaises with clients, the CARA team and external agencies, providing advice, support and information.
The First Contact Navigator will engage with individuals who are experiencing, or who have experienced, sexual violence and or sexual abuse who require information, signposting and short-term support. You will be the first contact and conduct first meetings, managing your own caseload and co-ordinating personalised support for individuals on their pathway to wellbeing. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will support people who use CARA services to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, maximising their independence and engaging in appropriate community or clinical resources. You will work collaboratively with service users, the CARA team and other professional agencies to navigate and coordinate services.
The main responsibilities of the post are:
· To act as a first point of contact for new referrals and enquiries, providing information, emotional support, advice and signposting.
· To complete first contact calls and assessments with clients over the telephone.
· To ensure information about new referrals/enquiries is accurately recorded on CARA’s database in real time.
· To work collaboratively and build trust with service users, agencies, personal and professional support networks to collate relevant information to effect individualised support requirements.
· To assess and engage service users not currently engaged in appropriate specialist sexual violence services.
· To seek and respond to referrals from a variety of internal and external sources.
· To assist survivors and relatives/supporters of survivors in understanding the range of resources and services available to them.

· To work as a link between clients, CARA staff and external agencies, ensuring appropriate information is passed on.

· To cover the enquiry line and the office phone and deal with enquiries as required.
· To pro-actively promote CARA’s services to external agencies, ensuring they are aware of our referral procedures.
· To contribute to development of promotional information, to ensure information about the referral process is clear and accessible.

About the role
You will be responsible for planning and organising a calendar of events for our team to attend, from shopping centres to country shows, high streets to our reserves, and everything in between, so that they can inspire members of the public to become members of the RSPB.
Our aim is to inspire external partners about our attendance at their events or venues. We are looking for someone who is a confident relationship builder with excellent telephone and email manners and communication and negotiation skills. The Role

About this role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. Main Duties and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are to:

Develop our individual giving and monthly giving strategies, including:
-
Ensuring we have the right tools in place.
-
Strengthening thanking and communications to existing supporters.
-
Trialling new strategies for outreach to new audiences.
-

Organise occasional fundraising events (e.g. face-to-face events in London; virtual events and fundraising challenges).
-
Support organisation and delivery of appeals and campaigns (e.g. the Big Give).
-
Support the development of impactful relationships with schools, universities, corporates and NGOs for fundraising and resource acquisition (e.g. books, digital devices, science equipment).

If time and experience, possibly support grant applications.

Line manage, and provide support to, the intern/s (fundraising).
Other

Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the role are carried out accurately.

To comply at all times with the organisation's policies, procedures and performance expectations of staff as set out in the Staff and Volunteers Handbook.

To ensure compliance with data protection legislation.

Any other duties as may be reasonably required under the role.
Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential
-
Proven track record of successful income generation from individuals or communities - ideally in a similar education / international development organisation
-
Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating relationships (e.g. with schools, corporates, individuals, communities)

Experience of digital marketing to engage new charity supporters / donors (including using paid advertising and innovative engagement techniques)

Experience of email marketing and donor conversion strategies

Strong communication and marketing skills, ideally with basic design skills (Canva)
-
Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support

Outstanding interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to use own initiative and work to tight and competing deadlines

Ability to effectively manage workload and prioritise tasks

Good IT skills - Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canva, Social Media
