Rape Crisis South London are currently looking for a highly skilled and passionate professional Adult Counsellor to join our organisation on a part-time basis.   

 

The successful candidate will have good knowledge within the Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) movement; experience working with the effects of Trauma, especially Sexual abuse trauma; experience of providing counselling by using an intersectional lens and able to demonstrate an understanding of how overlapping identities shape women’s experiences of trauma, particularly those from Black and minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
 

The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge and experience of working integrative, maintaining clear therapeutic boundaries and adhering to the ethical framework the organisation’s professional body. They will be skilled in applying a range of therapeutic approaches and committed to feminist and anti-racist principles and embedding these values into all aspects of their practice.  
 

The position is offered on a permanent ( subject to funding) part-time basis with 3 days in the office.

Key details

About Strength & Stem

Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. Role summary

The Programme Coordinator plays a key operational role at the heart of Strength & Stem, ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and events. This includes coordinating a series of 12 weekly floristry and skills workshops, supporting the mentoring scheme, and organising independent events such as our annual graduation celebration, alumni gatherings and ad-hoc floristry workshops.

As a Domestic Abuse Officer, your responsibilities will be:

· To work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.

· To ensure that women are enabled to access their rights and are informed about their options.

· To reach out to survivors of domestic abuse and raise awareness of domestic abuse and local services offered.

· To support and implement the aims and objectives of Young Ladies Club ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with Young Ladies Club policies and procedures.

· To facilitate or co-facilitate the support groups

· To facilitate the provision of culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions and counselling services.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Demonstrable qualifications and/or experience in the field of domestic violence accommodation and support.

This is one of two District Property Secretary roles in North West England Methodist District, who will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property. Key Responsibilities 

Provide advice to churches and circuits on property-related matters

Work with colleagues, including ministers and lay members of the circuits and churches within the District, to maximise utilisation of property and land across the District for mission and income generation, in line with Connexional property strategy

Support the Finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial processing and reporting. Support internal teams and meetings in relation to delegate prepaid cards, including processing transactions, issuing new cards and stopping or cancelling cards as required. Support the prepaid card platform, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date and centrally located to assist colleagues.

Assist in processing expense claims in line with policy. Process transactions for employee cash claims and corporate credit card purchases, issue new cards and stop or cancel cards as required.

Support month and year-end close processes, reporting, reconciliations and audit.

Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and controls, and support the design and implementation of new systems, policies, and processes within the Finance team responsibilities

ABOUT YOU 

We are looking for a highly numerate and organised individual with a strong ethical approach. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential criteria:

• Experience: Processing invoices, payments, other transactions and financial information.
• IT proficiency: Advanced Excel and intermediate Word skills. Must have practical experience with complex finance databases (e.g., Sage, Oracle, SAP), reporting tools, and expense claim systems.
• Personal attributes: High levels attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, and the organisational skills to meet tight deadlines. Willingness and ability to learn new responsibilities and adapt to evolving processes. Must be fluent in English.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt working hours during periods of high demand to ensure deadlines are met.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in a membership-based or international organisation.
• Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database or similar.
• Knowledge of multi-currency transactions and international banking procedures.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide dedicated, high-level support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, and to play a central role in the smooth running of governance and organisational operations. This is an important and trusted role at the heart of an organisation making a profound difference in its community.

The post is offered on a permanent, part-time basis (four days per week) with hybrid working (two days a week spent in the office). In this position, you will act as the key link between the CEO, Board of Trustees, senior colleagues, and external partners. You will manage the CEO’s diary, communications, briefings, and priorities, ensuring they are fully prepared and able to operate effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment. You will lead the coordination of Board and Committee meetings, overseeing agendas, papers, logistics, minute-taking, and follow-up actions, ensuring governance processes are efficient, compliant, and support strategic decision-making. The role also supports senior leadership with project coordination, reporting and monitoring of strategic objectives, and ensuring smooth information flow across the organisation.

The successful candidate will bring significant experience of providing high-level executive support within a complex organisation and will be confident liaising with senior stakeholders with professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgement. You will be highly organised, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before they arise. Strong written communication skills are essential, particularly in preparing reports, papers, and accurate minutes. This role would suit someone who combines emotional intelligence with diplomacy, a calm and solutions-focused approach, and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels. An understanding of good governance and/or experience supporting Boards or committees would be highly beneficial.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

This is one role advertised twice to ensure candidates across both hybrid locations can apply. This role is hybrid with candidates happy to work a minimum of one day per week from the London or Hudderfield office welcome to apply. The London office address is 2 St Andrews Place, London. The Senior Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager and the Community and Events Manager work hybrid from the London office at St Andrews Place, with the Fundraising Administrator working from the Huddersfield office.
