Youth Engagement Officer  

Location: Hybrid. Expected to be in our London office in Victoria at least one day per week. You can be remote every other day or come into the office. Your office days are flexible and can be agreed with your manager, other than for monthly team days where you must be in person. Some nationwide travel expected for Youth Steering Group training days, events and conferences. After passing probation, up to six weeks ‘super remote’ working per year, where you can work anywhere in the world as long as you’re online for four hours of the UK workday.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026 with the possibility to extend. 

Holidays: 38 days per year, including our 3-day winter shut down and eight flexible bank holidays.

You will also help the group to participate in FEA decision making, support the design and facilitation of their monthly meetings and training days, help them make progress against their personal development plans. This role will include working directly with young people, session planning and facilitation, policy research and managing logistics.

Ensure the Fair Education Youth Summit is a success and remains truly youth-led  

Our Youth Steering Group design and run the annual Fair Education Youth Summit. The event is led by young people for young people and brings together young changemakers from across our membership and the wider education and youth sectors to develop their youth leadership skills, collaborate on campaigns, and engage directly with decision makers. You will support the young people to design sessions, secure speakers, embed past feedback and plan the event structure. You will also support with the event logistics, guestlist management, participant communications and collecting attendee feedback.

Support our members to improve their youth engagement practice  

Our Youth Engagement Working Group supports FEA members and other sector organsiations to increase and improve their own youth engagement practice. You will support the management of logistics, promote the workshops, and communicate with working group members. You will also support the facilitation of the workshops and ensure the attendee data and feedback is correctly logged and actioned. The critical responsibilities of this role are described above. Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Service Support

  • Create info cards about upcoming films
  • Update the film information on our Showtimes page of our website

Impact and Evaluation

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Office Manager for The Royal Homes Estate at Queens Alexandra Court. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for queries, managing administrative tasks, supporting meetings and events, maintaining resident files, and overseeing the referral process.

You will also facilitate the use of common and guest rooms, manage communications for potential residents, and collaborate on creating notices and welcome packs.

Additionally, you will provide support for financial enquiries and work with agencies supporting residents to procure goods, event tickets, and services.

About the team

You will be part of a small dedicated and compassionate team based at The Royal Homes Estate. You will have the opportunity to work closely with co-workers who are highly trained, experienced and supportive.

About you

To carry out this role successfully, you will have strong administrative and reception experience, and be proficient in Microsoft 365 applications. You will be confident in using digital technology and be able to act independently when required.

You will have knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, the Equality Act, and have experience working with vulnerable and elderly individuals.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you build strong relationships and effectively support others. You will be able to handle telephone calls with professionalism and have experience in diary management and producing high-quality documents.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and time management skills to be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Devices Safety Engineer to join the Clinical Asset Team. Your role is to support the Procurement & Clinical Asset Manager and be responsible for and ensure a high level of compliance is maintained whilst overseeing maintenance responses, keeping pivotal databases up to date, updating jobs on the CAFM system, compliance reporting, and updating asset management systems.

This role is not open to sponsorship.

Role Requirements

• Provide operational expertise to all matters pertaining to clinical assets including compliance, asset management, service management and lifecycle management.
• Working alongside the project teams for hoist and bath installations
• Ensuring clinical assets onsite are compliant or taken out of service.
• Ensuring LOLERs (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and servicing are carried out with the preferred contracted suppliers.
• Supporting the Medical Devices Assistant to refer jobs to the appropriate contractor, using CAFM systems to create a document trail and manage frequently broken items, escalating issues to the Procurement and Clinical Asset Manager as appropriate.
• Approving purchase orders as required, appropriately storing relevant documents accessible to the team with expenditure tracked. Ensuring appropriate service contracts for all clinical assets are in place alongside any budget restrictions and existing commitments
• Assist with the implementation and changes made to processes within the Medical Device & Equipment Management Policy across site, for approval via the Procurement and Clinical Asset Manager and Head of Procurement & Contract Management
• Providing the Bed Audit Condition report to Therapy on a quarterly basis
• Overseeing bed/mattress/large equipment moves including those for new admissions with placements and attending admission meetings
• Chairing and planning the CAWG (Clinical Asset Working Group) taking of minutes and actions
• Overseeing clinical asset ticket closures
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

The Volunteering & Recruitment Co-ordinator will be a key member of the HR & Operations Team at Richmond Borough Mind – a well-established and diverse mental health charity supporting the local community. With a workforce of approximately 50 staff and as many volunteers, our services include Counselling, Peer Group Activities, Mental Health Training, and Crisis Support.
