We have three refuges in Haringey and provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence.  We are there for women at a time of crisis and help families take their first steps to freedom and recovery.

About the Role

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same This role requires using your initiative and proactive attitude than reactive.

You will also be working with women who are in trauma and can be in crisis requiring you to be empathetic but aspirational. You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across the three sites.  You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You will be expected to work in one of the three Refuges as part of your role

Job role tasks include:

• Support – Induction, Risk Assessments, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Benefits, Debt Advice, Move On, maintain accurate recording on Solace case management system and ensure regular reviews are carried out.
• Frontline delivery of support directly to service users.
• Repairs Identification/reporting/meeting contractors.
• Health & Safety – Basic observational H&S assessments and ensuring building compliance, flag risks in properties.
• Void inspections, basic void works – i.e. clean/clear, furniture, welcome packs. 
• Service Users Arrears & HB Claims and benefits - Identify arrears of concern & raise to Service Manager.
• Helping service users understand housing benefits/welfare benefits that are available to them. 
• Initial Safeguarding Reports.
• Deliver Clear Outcomes – contractual deliverables or Solace standards.
• Multi agency working involved with Service Users.
• Support service user to access other community services.
• ED&I Awareness-needs for SU’s including organising EDI activities.
• Promoting SU involvement activities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.  An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential. 

You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, with the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.

You should have an understanding of the homelessness process, either professionally or personally. You will also have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Operations and Data Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to help maintain, develop and continuously improve our data and systems. The role will be an integral part of the Living Wage Operations and Insight Team, providing technical support to ensure the integrity of our systems, and supporting with development projects.

Main Responsibilities 

Working as the Operations and Data Officer– LWF for Citizens UK, reporting to Senior Data & Operations Manager, LWF, your main responsibilities will include: 

Project Management 

Deliver work targets on time and to standard to support the Foundation’s data and systems: : 

•  Support the day-to-day operations and management of all systems within the Living Wage Foundation designed to enable the functioning of Living Wage accreditation schemes. 

•  Proactively seek out systems improvements to make our processes more efficient so the Living Wage Foundation continues to provide an excellent service to the Living Wage network. 

•  Provide operational support for all aspects of the accreditation and recognition systems, including identifying and fixing errors. 

• Maintain integrity of Salesforce database; identify and source incomplete information within the database; take responsibility for tidying, cleansing and backing up existing data. 

• Support maintenance of integrated systems, including syncing data to Act-On and the website. 

• Work with Operations and Data Manager to keep templates, forms and related communications materials up to date 

• Manage merchandise administration including email inbox, day to day queries, and Shopify administration. 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to manage budgets for external contracts (e.g. with developers and suppliers). 

  Learning and expertise 

• Keep up-to-date with functional good practice and technical updates to all our systems, including within the third sector. 

• Support with network data enquiries, including analysing data, creating Salesforce reports and dashboards for colleagues. 

• Work with colleagues to identify learning & development needs and support Operations and Data Manager to develop and deliver inductions, training and guidance to meet requirements. 

• Keep internal training manuals up to date to ensure the Foundation’s team can access clear and consistent information about our systems and processes. 

•  Support Operations and Data Manager to monitor the impact of internal trainings, support, resources and guidance – update and improve internal support offer as required. 

Communications 

• Create and write dashboards and reports to support the analysis of our performance. 

• Champion systems throughout the organisation and advocate for systems-based solutions. Offer ad hoc guidance to the team and help communicate any changes to systems. 

• Run systems surgeries for colleagues to answer ad hoc enquiries and support learning. 

Develop and manage external relationships 

• Communicate effectively with our external contractors (e.g. merchandise suppliers) to ensure contracts are fulfilled in a timely manner. 

• Help identify suitable new suppliers to meet organisational need. 

Develop and manage internal relationships 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to identify technical solutions to meet organisational requirements. 

• Monitor and respond to operations and data enquiries from colleagues. Work effectively with colleagues across Citizens UK, actively participate in the team and organisational wide events. 

Income and resources 

• Maintain Salesforce data integrity to support accurate and timely invoicing. Help ensure the integrity and safety of our data advising wider organisation on best practice where appropriate. 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to track expenditure for Shopify and merchandise suppliers. 

• Contribute to plans and proposals to grow sources of income or resources. 

Contribute towards Citizens UK’s strategic objectives

Fuel expenses are paid, and travel time is included as part of your working hours. Core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school term time only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that meetings with partners and colleagues, plus administrative tasks, are completed as required. You will be expected to work at least four days a week.

You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across two sites. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You should have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with this or a similar client group. An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential.

As part of both roles, one of the job posts will be located in one refuge, with the other job post located across three refuges.

About You

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our commissioned services meet and exceed expectations. You will be responsible for monitoring contract performance, analysing complex data, and ensuring compliance with KPIs, quality standards, and third sector funding requirements.

About you

We are looking for a skilled and experienced contract management professional with a strong understanding of third sector commissioning and service delivery. You will have a proven ability to manage and monitor complex contracts, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and funding conditions. You’ll be confident in building and maintaining relationships with commissioners, funders, and delivery partners.

You will be highly numerate, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to produce clear, insightful reports that demonstrate impact, value for money, and continuous improvement. You’ll be comfortable working with data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and will support operational teams to address underperformance and drive service excellence.

We are looking for someone who can balance the retention of existing contracts with a proactive approach to identifying and supporting new opportunities for growth and innovation in the third sector.

 How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. All Employees are homebased meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community. 

When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).  

VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits. 

Fixed term until March 2026.

Part time - 20 hours a week 

The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.

Location: Scope's London office and remote working is offered around meetings and workshops.

The role will require travelling in London and the surrounding area. 

The Role

In this role you will be:

• Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees. 
• Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice. 
• Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support. 
• Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources. 
• Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness. 
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

About You 

• You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support. 
• You will be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees. 
• You will be able to show empathy and be able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty. 
• It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products 
• You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice.
