You’ll play a key role in the development of our Face to Face Fundraising Programme as we embrace new ideas and technology and develop a face to face fundraising culture across the organisation. Working with a largely field-based team, you’ll provide the structured logistical support needed to keep a dynamic operation running smoothly.
In addition to door to door fundraising, our face to face team has a presence at over 100 events every year – including some of the UK’s biggest music festivals – and you’ll be crucial to planning these events. Your responsibilities will range from creating stands and newsletters to procuring and managing equipment and resources and arranging transport and accommodation for a team to travel extensively throughout the UK.
Location: Islington, London. We are currently trialling a hybrid working model to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. The current expectation is for staff to work from the office in Islington at least 40% of their time. Reasonable adjustments to the trial policy as well as specific office based needs will be considered for those with long term health conditions and disabilities.
You'll have:
• Knowledge of face to face fundraising in the not-for-profit sector.
• Proven administrative abilities, with attention to detail in planning and organisation.
• Experience of working with suppliers.
• Good numeracy, time management and ability to work with scheduling tools.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.

As an Administrator your role will include:
- Dealing promptly with the issuing and payment of invoices.
- Liaising with all Head Office departments, particularly Finance, as required to ensure the payment of invoices.
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and making purchases based on a value for money structure.
- Answering and responding to all initial enquiries from outside agencies or prospective service users.
- Providing telephone reception and maintaining and updating all service information resources.
- Co-ordinating the taking and passing on of internal and external messages and assisting in the preparation of written reports, having due regard for confidentiality.
- Providing typing and word processing support for the staff team as necessary and taking and distributing minutes of meetings as required.
- Attending staff meetings, staff support groups and service meetings.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. From 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship will be merging with the mental health charity Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. High Trees are a charity working across 5 thematic service delivery areas and teams (Education and Training, Employment and Careers, Children, Young People and Families, Community Action and Research and Sector Support). All our work is held together by our Operations team, who provide the support and structure that allows all of our service delivery to take place and ensures High Trees as an organisation functions.
We are seeking a skilled Operations Administrator, providing general support across the organisation as a whole, but predominantly working with our Operations team and Co-CEOs to ensure that High Trees remains an effective organisation, able to make the most impact for our beneficiaries. This is a varied and rewarding role which will allow you to build your skills and understanding of how charities operate day-to-day as well as contribute to our governance and strategic ambitions. Your remit will include general office administration; including the admin needed to efficiently manage our offices and community buildings, ensuring our organisational policies and processes are routinely reviewed, updated and implemented; assisting with events; and supporting our governance processes.
You will also carry out the administrative HR functions for High Trees, inducting new staff, maintaining our records on our HR software, facilitating all staff to carry out our mandatory training and helping with the administration of our recruitment processes. You will work with the teams to ensure compliance with our HR policies, procedures and HR paperwork.
