SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis because of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. We also campaign for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.

About You

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

The Area Giving and Finance Advisor provides comprehensive finance support to churches within the Kensington Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. Additionally, the role entails promoting generous giving through training initiatives, facilitating the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds, and fostering effective communication and relationship-building between the Area team, Finance team, and parish officers.

• To maintain the ATS when recruitment is live, and to support with the day-to-day recruitment activity, including but not limited to liaising with candidates, setting up interviews and preparing interview packs 

• Assisting with managing and maintaining database information for employee benefit schemes 

• Maintain and Update employee notice boards for HR and H&S 

• Opening, logging and distributing inbound post 

• Support with answering phone calls into the Office and responding to general enquiries 

• Recording and reporting on Environmental data 

• Assist with co-ordinating maintenance activities for the Office space 

• Support with H&S administration, such as Risk Assessments and Accident Reporting 

• To complete basic H&S checks including walk arounds, first aid kit maintenance 

• Support with Training requirements, booking of courses and the maintenance of a skills matrix 

• Monitor and maintain stationery requirements and office supplies such as milk, water 

• To assist with the setting up and presentation of the Meeting Rooms, to keep them well presented and to ensure that they are unlocked and locked each day. 

• To support the Fulfilment Manager on a regular basis with processing orders and deliveries 

• To cover in the absence of the Fulfilment Manager, the processing of orders and deliveries

• Participate with and support the HR & Operations Manager in HR projects on an adhoc basis 

• Ensure that relevant charity and other legislation is complied with

• To comply with Brain Tumour Research’s internal policies and procedures 

• To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the HR and Operations Manager and Director of Finance and Ops

About the role

Having established a strong fundraising capability and team with significant income growth over the last 4 years, Kidney Care UK is now looking for an exceptional Head of Fundraising to take the Charity to the next level.

You will work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications to develop and implement a new 5-year fundraising strategy for the charity, with direct responsibility for managing Trusts and Foundations, Individual Giving, Legacy, In Memory, Community, Trade, and Challenge Event income streams.

You will be responsible for building a strong, motivated Fundraising team at the heart of the Charity, leading and inspiring a team of 13 fundraisers.

You will lead on developing and delivering the operational strategies, activities and key programmes of work, set budgets, develop supporter recruitment plans and deliver stewardship that offers a best in class supporter experience. You will inspire supporters to raise more to help more people with chronic kidney disease.

You will report directly to the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications and be expected to manage Fundraising Managers and oversee the wider team.

Over time, you will also have the opportunity to personally develop your own 6-figure income streams and support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications across his network of 6 and 7-figure prospects and funders.

HT is a vibrant, evangelical, charismatic, Anglican church with a large and growing church family of all ages and stages. We are situated right at the centre of the city and perfectly placed to reach students and adults alike. Our vision is to see Cambridge reached and the world impacted with the good news and transforming power of the risen Lord Jesus.

Alongside the Senior Children’s Pastor and Children’s Pastor (Infants and Babies), you will be responsible for pastoring the children of HT in Years 3–6 and their families, bringing hands-on leadership to the wider team involved in HT Kids, and reaching out to children and families in Cambridge who don’t yet know Jesus. A major part of this role will be managing staff and volunteers to increase their confidence and fruitfulness as they work with children. You will be a leader of leaders, with a heart to invest in and facilitate the ministry of others.
