Job description

VICTA is looking to recruit an Activities & Strategic Programmes Manager. As a charity that works to empower children and young people who are blind or partially sighted, we seek someone who is passionate about supporting people to live life to the full.

As the Programme Manager, working with the wider team, you will be instrumental in devising, building and delivering an activities programme that supports our objectives. As such, you will need experience of working with a range of different stakeholders including people who have a disability, volunteers, suppliers, professionals and other third sector organisations. As someone who can think independently, finds it easy to build relationships with others and is calm in a crisis, you will have a passion for making a difference and are happy to get your hands dirty.

We provide a positive work culture where learning and development is actively supported and promoted. While we seek someone who can think independently the ability to work within a team environment is paramount. The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible, have a good sense of humour and happy to lead from the front. Due to the nature of the role there is a lot of out of hours working which will include weekends and travel across the UK and overseas, and you will require a clean full driving licence.

The position is office based initially, with the opportunity for hybrid working at VICTA's descretion. VICTA offers 23 days of holiday rising to 28, plus a day off for your birthday.

To apply for this position, please include a CV and covering letter.
