We require blended working from home and from our office in Crawley with Thursday in the office and one other day a week to be agreed. This is a one-year fixed term contract. The role requires an all-rounder who is comfortable giving calm support to people in crisis, can demonstrate a high level of organisational skills in a fast-paced work environment and a passion for educating the public on the issue of immigration detention.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Coordinator to support our Assessment and Therapy Service. This vital role ensures smooth operations by managing scheduling, case tracking, document management, and communication with families and professionals. You will be a key point of contact for up to 30 active cases and work closely with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate high-quality service delivery.

You will be involved in the development of the service and your views, and insights are encouraged.

· Schedule and coordinate internal meetings and therapy consultations

· Provide administrative support for allocated assessment and therapy cases

· Maintain and update electronic records (Charms, SharePoint)

· Proofread, format, and distribute clinical reports and correspondence

· Liaise with families, therapists, Local Authorities, and partner agencies

· Assist with service costing, funding proposals, and contract tracking

· Assist in service evaluations, complaints management, and internal reporting

You will have regular informal guidance and formal supervision on a monthly basis. You will be part of the wider service of Family Futures and attend monthly Team Days to learn, share and develop the service and your practice.

Key responsibilities

·You will provide an ethical, professional counselling service at Shoreham College

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• You will have counselling or psychotherapy qualification minimum Level 4 and ideally Level 6, with 2 years’ post qualifying experience in individual counselling or therapy with children preferred, to include working with risk issues
• You will have a BACP Membership; BACP Registered or Accredited. Or other professional body e.g. HCPC
• You will also have a sound understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding issues, policies, and procedures
• You will be confident in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns and have experience of working in a school setting

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced and skilled caseworkers to join the staff of a unique social enterprise. The core function of this role is to provide comprehensive casework, advice and advocacy which assists and supports clients throughout the NHS continuing healthcare assessment, appeal and care planning process. This role is primarily home-based with opportunities nationally. Ability to periodially travel long distances to attend client meetings across England from time to time is essential.

MAIN DUTIES:

1. To provide an independent and comprehensive casework, advisory and advocacy service to private and NHS-referred clients (typically health and social care service users or their representatives) in England and Wales throughout the entire NHS Continuing Healthcare assessment, appeal and care planning process from initial assessment stage through to complaints to the Ombudsman.
2. To provide specialist information and advice to our clients tailored to their specific situation and needs regarding the interpretation of a primary health need from a thorough understanding of relevant criteria, assessment frameworks and legal tests which are based upon case-law. 
3. Provide advocacy and active case support remotely and in person to clients in England and Wales, and their representatives throughout the appeal and complaint processes, and occassionally assessments. This will include periodic travel to assessments and appeal meetings across England and Wales (including overnight stays where necessary), as well as attending virtual meetings via videoconference.Please note: most meetings are now completed virtually via videoconference, however a small number of in-person meetings are still taking place. Applicants will need to be comfortable working from home for long periods as well as with periodic long-distance travel.
4. To keep informed of issues, policies, guidance and legislation affecting clients ensuring that the information provided is relevant, current, complete and accurate.
5. To analytically examine all relevant health and social care records and assessments, and to prepare detailed advisory letters and appeal statements based upon a sound understanding of the facts, and referencing evidence compiled from such records.
6. To assist clients in the preparation of submissions which will be presented on their behalf to relevant Integrated Care Boards and NHS England review and/or appeal panels.
7. To respond to new referrals by making prompt initial contact with the client within the timescales specified by company policies. To keep clients informed of progress at regular intervals.
8. Work closely and efficiently with health professionals from relevant Continuing Healthcare (CHC) teams with the aim of resolving client issues at the earliest possible opportunity so as to provide an efficient and cost-effective service, and to minimise stress for the client.
9. To develop and maintain working relationships with health and social care colleagues within the field of Continuing Healthcare in order to influence best practice.
10. To work with partner organisations and stakeholders to share knowledge, make appropriate referrals, maintain consistency and draw upon each other’s expertise, always striving to improve the quality of both services and provide a better customer experience.
11. To keep relevant and sufficiently detailed case records at each stage and as the case progresses; ensuring that all client information is kept up to date in line with Beacon’s systems and procedures, including data protection (GDPR) policies.  This applies to case files, database entries, authority forms, client correspondence, use of the project management system, filing and archiving.
12. To minimise business costs and maximise income for the company by meeting chargeable time targets, working efficiently, charging clients appropriately and in a timely manner.
13. To uphold the principles of paralegal casework as specified by the Institute of Paralegals, providing a good standard of client care by working with skill and competence thereby ensuring clients are able to place their trust in you.
14. To uphold organisational values, promoting Beacon’s social goals through each area of your work.
15. To manage your own caseload and work independently within the boundaries of Beacon policies and procedures.
16. To undergo a minimum of 12 hours of professional development each year.  To foster an atmosphere of continuous learning and development.
17. Attend line management, supervision and team meetings as appropriate, and to play a full part in the development and success of Beacon.

Overview

The Dash Charity is looking for a Refuge IDVA to join its dedicated refuge services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a local domestic abuse charity with a huge influence and reach. For almost 50 years The Dash Charity has been supporting individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse, empowering women, men and children to recognise the tactics of abuse, break the cycle, and take back control of their lives.

We were one of the first charities in the UK to be awarded Leading Lights status for our Advocacy and Outreach Services by SafeLives, and pioneered healthy relationships workshops in schools over a decade ago.

We run three refuges that offer a sanctuary to women and children escaping violence and abuse, offering specialist children’s support and one to one support for women.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the risks and support needs of refuge clients using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.

• Manage a caseload of clients ensuring each client receives a quality and consistent service and support individual to their needs and risks.

• Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them regain control of their lives.

• To ensure that information is shared within data protection guidelines to ensure a co-ordinated approach is taken to understand client need/risk and support appropriately.

• To work in accordance with the Refuge Services Case Management Policy ensuring that all client records and casework are to the required audited standard as per the case management policy.

• To maintain accurate, professional and confidential case management records and databases and ensure all monitoring and evaluation records/tools are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• To understand any grant, funder or contractual requirements pertaining to the funding of the individual post, ensuring data and outcomes are gathered to inform periodic reporting as and when required. To contribute to the preparation of any grant/contract reporting as required.

• Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for victims of domestic abuse.

• To fully keep up to date with relevant legislation and sector updates.

• To work with a strong multi agency focus liaising with other agencies and professionals both internally and externally to ensure client’s needs are met.

• Support clients through the criminal justice system.

• Support clients with options of civil remedies and child contact options.

• Ensure intake paperwork is completed and individual support plan in place, including advising women on terms of occupation of safe house.

• Complete 2 weekly keyworking sessions to identify individual client support needs and create an individual support plan for all refuge clients.

• To support clients in accessing medical treatment, legal, housing and debt advice. Attend appointments with clients as required.

• Ensure the Safelives RIC is reviewed 6 weeks after intake to refuge or immediately if an incident occurs.

• To complete a Housing Benefit application for all new clients and submit to SBC within 48 hours of intake.

• To update DAIU when a client arrives and leaves refuge.

• Ensure client rents are collected weekly, rent card completed and the Finance team are updated.

• To facilitate monthly resident meetings, complete meeting minutes and any actions arising from the meeting.

• To complete weekly H&S checks and update RST manager accordingly.

General duties:

· To operate within clear professional and confidentiality boundaries and to work within The Dash Charity code of conduct.

· Ensure clients are clear about their rights and obligations whilst receiving support.

· Check email daily and respond to urgent requests

· Review workload daily and prioritise accordingly

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we reopen services that unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. As a coordinator, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering our community service across the East Riding of Yorkshire through drop-ins offering:

• practical hearing aid support

You will be responsible for co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in services and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across the county of East Riding.
