Online Community
The Online Community is a peer to peer support network, provided by and for people living with cancer, facilitated by volunteer Community Champions in a safe online environment. As the only Macmillan platform with 24/7 support for people with cancer, open 365 days a year, and with over 80k members, the Online Community is all about fostering and facilitating connections between people, in an anonymous, safe way.
About the role
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working within online groups and communities to join our Online Community team to deliver and support high quality services online to people affected by cancer, and other key Macmillan audiences as well as drive peer to peer engagement within the online community.
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting high quality service to the online community, supporting members and volunteers, driving engagement between members, moderating posts and online content and responding to help requests, to create a safe and supportive environment for all our members and volunteers. This role covers opening hours of 8am-8pm, 7 days per week on shift rotation, some parts of which will be unsupervised.
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Experience and knowledge of working within online communities and social media
- Good written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to communicate directly with community members and volunteers as well as internally at different levels of the organisation and to different technical abilities)
- Experience of developing, managing and moderating online content
- Good IT skills with experience of setting up web pages, including basic grasp of HTML, use of a CMS or social publishing platform and image optimisation
- Experience of supporting and communicating with customers through email, online and over the phone

About the role
Reporting in to the Business Development Lead (MCC), the role of Business Development Manager for the LAC region is a key role is being responsible for securing new funding aligned to Christian Aid's strategy and thematic priorities.
The role will lead business development efforts across the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) and expand the Institutional funding portfolio and collaborate closely with and strategically advise MCC Head of Impact and Partnership & Impact Funding (PIF) team and MCC teams to develop donor engagement strategies, build funding pipelines, identify new opportunities, and establish partnerships to grow program portfolios.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.
We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.
We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.
We are recruiting Cantonese speaking Employment Advisors to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will provide high quality advice and guidance through 1:1 employability support and group employability workshops with the aim of coaching individuals and supporting them on their journey into employment that suits their previous experience and skill set.
You will prepare participants for employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will monitor and encourage participants’ engagement and attendance in all aspects of the programme. Worldwide Veterinary Service is searching for an experienced manager to support the growth of our global education programme.
This is an ideal role for an experienced project manager who wants to make lasting improvements to the lives of children and animals around the world.
Reporting to the Head of Education at global animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), you will help grow and develop education programmes that protect children from key zoonotic disease and improve the relationship between animals and people.
One child dies from rabies every 10 minutes. Most victims are under the age of 15. Rabies is 100% fatal, but entirely vaccine preventable. Children just need the right information to protect themselves. WVS established Mission Rabies, a campaign that aims to eliminate rabies for good, in 2013. We have worked hard to reach 9.6 million children worldwide, but around half of the world’s 2 billion children at this age still live in rabies endemic countries. You will manage national education managers based across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America to spread our core messages to a wider audience. This is essential if we are to deliver our goal to halve the number of people dying from rabies in the next 5 years.
We are looking for somebody who is proactive, driven and has a history of making things happen. At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.
We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands. We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world.
Last year, WVS treated over 103,000 animals, trained over 2,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,042 parcels of veterinary supplies to 231 charities in 65 countries. Over 1.2 m dogs were vaccinated against rabies last year as part of our Mission Rabies campaign.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Support with the development of our education and behaviour change campaigns in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
- Develop robust monitoring and data collection systems and build capacity in the team to adhere to these mechanisms.
- Work with country teams to research the effectiveness of pedagogical approaches in terms of impact and behaviour change across various contexts and for different age groups.
- Work closely with colleagues to provide technical advice and implementation assistance to Mission Rabies and WVS projects around the world.

What the job involves
The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.
You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.
The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.
This role is fixed term until end of October 2026 covering an internal secondment.

Job Title: People and Culture Business Partner - Organisational Change
Location: Based in our Central office in Islington, around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station. You will also be able to work from home and will be required to make regular visits to our services. Please note that step free access is not available at our central office and some of our other services.

About the role
We're seeking an all rounded generalist to join our People and Culture team to support specifically in around areas of organisational change, mainly in relation to managing mobilisations, TUPE, staff consultations and growth. You will use your previous experience in these areas to manage the process of organisational change, working alongside the wider P&C team and managers across the organisation. Some key responsibilities in this role includes:
- Provide high quality support, leadership and guidance to managers and staff for change projects from start to finish.

About you

- Experience in managing mobilisations, TUE, de-mobilisations, redundancy consultations, change consultation, and project management

OVERVIEW
Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.
Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors, so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.
JOB PURPOSE
As one of our High Support Needs IDVAs you will be part of our experienced and dedicated adult team reporting to the HSN IDVA Manager covering the Ashford District area, and your role will include a mixture of remote and office working. You’ll be providing a high-quality, frontline service to survivors of domestic abuse and play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment for our clients with more complex needs. You will assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse which are impacting their situation, and help them to regain control of their lives. You will support them to make informed and safe choices and to move forward.
Alongside working with survivors, you will develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organisations to strengthen multi-agency working and improve service outcomes for survivors.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting people who is confident, resilient and has the ability to build strong relationships.
You will have experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions with survivors, including some whose individual circumstances are more complex. This might include clients with issues such as homelessness, poor mental health or drugs and alcohol use.
The nature of this work and being exposed to survivors’ trauma and challenges can have a negative impact on our own wellbeing as support workers, and therefore good self-awareness and the ability to recognise our own needs and put in place appropriate boundaries is essential. All team members are expected to exercise self-care and attend regular clinical supervision to mitigate the potential impact of vicarious trauma.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality case work support and information to victims/survivors who have experienced domestic and/ or sexual violence and have high support needs.
- Support those who are experiencing domestic and sexual abuse to access services to keep themselves (and their children) safe and address their needs
- Identify and assess the needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist while taking a trauma informed approach
- Provide 1:1 support to survivors in the Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone and Hythe districts, either over the phone, in community venues or at Rising Sun offices
- Manage a caseload in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality
- Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and building positive working-relationships with team members
- Attend regular clinical supervision and case review meetings
- Hold weekly information and advice drop in sessions and facilitate relevant programmes when required i.e. Freedom Programme
- Participate in street walks to meet and build relationships and trust with street homeless
- Advocate for high risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:
- Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims and how your role fits into them.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to survivors including in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance.
- Effective partnership working with all key agency partners (including housing and other specialist services, such as drug and alcohol support) to address the safety of high risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated particularly through the MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
- Identify training opportunities and provide training and support for housing staff and other relevant agencies as appropriate
- Work with volunteers (where appropriate) to enhance the capacity of the service
- Be responsible for personal well-being and exercise appropriate self-care
- Attend wider team meetings to share learning and feed into organisational developments
- Ensure that the service user is at the heart of all service delivery by encouraging participation in service development and reporting on their recommendations and complaints
- Be willing and available to work occasional evenings and weekends to support wider team activities such as representing Rising Sun at events (time off in lieu can be taken)
- Ensure publicity materials are effectively distributed as well as contributing to the development of literature
