We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.

We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting.  S/he needs to be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have the ability to take the initiative and develop the role while supporting the ethos of the Richmond Team Ministry.

The position is based in Richmond upon Thames. 

As Human Resources Advisor you'll be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is an additional role providing HR advice and support, primarily for our Key Project at Marylebone. Our Key Projects are at the heart of our Church Army vision and seek to bring transformation to the lives of those they work with.

Around half of our staff work within our Key Projects, so the HR Advisor will be lead for HR advice and support for these colleagues. They will play a key role in developing and strengthening the relationship between the projects and HR and ensure we deliver an effective HR service to the projects which is aligned with the service to the wider organisation. The post holder will work closely with each of the Key Project Leaders in making sure the Christian ethos and values of Church Army are part of the culture and practice of the projects.

The role suits someone who is a HR generalist with strong knowledge of the key HR practices including recruitment and retention, employee relations and development and training. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in HR and hold a related qualification such as CIPD.

This role sits within our Co.Lab team which refers to the team of people whose roles have an operational focus on facilitating the work of CA across the UK and Ireland. The team come together at regular times over the year to develop connection, collaboration and community to help us better serve the wider Church Army community.

Duties and responsibilities

• Day to day coordination of the Smart Works service, including booking all client appointments, answering the phone and all related service administration.
• Maintaining an up to date and accurate client data base.
• Generating volunteer rotas and day to day volunteer communications relating to service delivery.
• Ensuring the dressing room and stockroom is organised and tidy to a high standard.
• Ensuring all operational policies and procedures including Safeguarding are maintained, communicated, and adhered to on service days.
• Supporting the team with ad hoc administration tasks.

About the role

This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.

The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.

The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. RMC have been assisting beneficiaries to access and sustain appropriate accommodation and improve their housing and living conditions for nearly two decades. RMC also deals with many aspects of homelessness, destitution, rough sleeping, exploitation, etc.

This is an exciting 2 day a week role to be part of the growing Newham District Foodbank and Ascension’s Advice Service. On 9th June 2021 Ascension’s foodbank officially became part of the Trussell Trust network. We were named Newham District Foodbank, because our plan is to expand to more than one distribution centre to ensure that people across the whole of Newham are well supported. As part of the strategy, we have already secured funding to have debt and benefit advisors supporting each new distribution centre.

In this role you will manage the poverty response work of Ascension Community Trust, including its foodbank. You will provide high level strategic work, including liaising with donors, referral partners and other local foodbanks and support new partners into Newham District Foodbank. Your role will include fundraising for and reporting on the work of Newham District Foodbank, including local partnership funding. You will be involved in the recruitment, management and development of staff and volunteers.

Hybrid working policy:

We operate a hybrid working model, with our office-based staff splitting their time between site based and home working. The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives.

We provide confidential, personalised support to the whole of the fire services community, whether that’s at our centres, over the phone, online or out in communities.

The Role
Our Practitioner Led Assessment Service is the entry point for our beneficiaries seeking support from the Charity. Our Assessment Practitioners work in partnership with our beneficiaries to identify goals, individual needs and appropriate solutions.

The team provide advice, information and support and work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure our beneficiaries are offered the right support at the right time.

Reporting into the Beneficiary Experience and Continuity Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the practitioner led assessment service, holding a small case load and reviewing and resolving complex cases with the team. 

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across health improvement and rehabilitation services, to ensure services are integrated, person centred, outcome focused and based on an ethos of recovery.

About You
An excellent communicator, with a can-do-attitude, you will be a registered health or social care practitioner with a broad skill and knowledge base and will be experienced in managing a multi-professional team.

To be successful, you will:

• Be a registered health or social care practitioner, with membership of a relevant professional body
• Have experience of managing a multi-professional team within a health or social care setting
• Have experience of conducting telephone assessments (health and wellbeing), service user risk assessments and delivering advice and information to improve health and wellbeing
• Be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing, together with sound judgment skills
• Have the ability to travel (within the UK) on occasion
• Have a suitable working area and space available that is free from distraction (if home working or hybrid).  You will be provided with a laptop computer and access to our telephone systems and digital tools such as MS Teams.
