Key Responsibilities

• Formal Complaints Management: Support the investigation, documentation, and resolution of formal complaints, ensuring timely and compassionate responses.
• Evidence Gathering & Analysis: Review clinical records, staff statements, call transcripts, policies, and other relevant information to support investigations.

The Role
We are looking for an Advice & Guidance Officer who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of deaf children, young people, and their families.

A key focus of this role will be delivering the service remotely using technology. In addition, you will use your interpersonal skills and experience working with families to connect with local community groups, raise awareness of our services, promote membership, and provide support to families, deaf young people, and professionals.
 
This role is part time, based on 21 hours per week.
 
This is a fully remote role, but will have a focus on Central Scotland Casework and will require some regional travel so applicants should live in Scotland and possess a driving licence and have access to a car.

• Deliver tailored information and advice to individuals and groups of deaf children, young people, and their families.

The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.

Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Supporters are often personally connected to the cause, including young people, families and communities directly impacted by cancer, making this a highly rewarding fundraising environment.

Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (West Scotland) to grow and develop income across the West of Scotland. With an individual income target of c.£130k and a combined Scotland regional target of c.£260k across East and West Scotland, this role will play a key part in strengthening existing relationships while identifying and developing new fundraising opportunities across a region with significant growth potential.

Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Area Manager, you will be responsible for building long-term supporter relationships and developing strategic area plans to maximise fundraising opportunities. You will also work closely with frontline nursing teams, volunteers and colleagues across the organisation, ensuring supporters experience the impact of their fundraising while helping identify new opportunities across both community and corporate audiences.

Purpose of the Role

The Head of Centre will provide strategic and operational leadership for Equal Education Academy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and trauma-informed online provision. Serving as the Academy’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), the postholder will embed safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing into all organisational decision-making.

Key responsibilities include leading SEND and safeguarding strategy (including overseeing the Single Central Record)  delivering high-impact staff training, and driving rigorous quality assurance by monitoring and reviewing teaching and learning practices. 

Working collaboratively across the Academy and the wider Equal Education Limited group, the Head of Centre will serve as a vital operational bridge, facilitating seamless collaboration and synergy between Equal Education Academy and Equal Education Limited. Operating at the intersection of both entities, the post-holder is uniquely positioned to identify and leverage cross-group resources, optimising them to drive the growth and development of the Academy. Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Quality of Education

• Support the Executive Headteacher in setting the Academy’s strategic direction and ensuring compliance with OEAS/DfE standards.

3. Safeguarding and Wellbeing (DSL)

• Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), maintaining oversight of all safeguarding systems, referrals, and online safety protocols.

• Ensure policies remain compliant with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and best practice.

• Promote a culture of vigilance, ensuring learner wellbeing, attendance, and emotional safety are central to all Academy functions.

4. Leadership & Staff Development

• Design and deliver high-impact staff training programs, specifically focusing on safeguarding, online pedagogy, SEND frameworks, and inclusive, trauma-informed practice.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO). 

• Significant (3 years minimum) senior leadership experience in a school, AP, SEND, or online setting within the last year. 

• Proven experience in designing and delivering whole-school staff training.

• Extensive (1 year minimum) experience as a DSL (safeguarding) and SENCO (SEND provision).

• Deep understanding of KCSIE, the SEND Code of Practice, and OEAS/DfE requirements.

• Experience in reviewing teaching and learning to drive quality improvement.

• Significant experience supporting children and young people with barriers to learning and/or emerging or complex needs, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, interrupted education, Children Looked After, and learners requiring specialist or alternative provision.

Stroke Support Worker

We are looking for an empathetic, adaptable individual, experienced in person centred support to work with stroke survivors and their loved ones on the stroke ward in Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Position: 000029 Stroke Support Worker

The Role

This work is part of a project (the Integrated Offer), exploring the needs and ongoing connection for people affected by stroke in hospital and beyond.

The role will involve delivering person-centred stroke support in the hospital setting, while working with the Integrated Offer team to test and implement new approaches. The areas we aim to deliver and test are:

· Deliver person centred conversations with people affected by stroke on the acute ward.

· Following an initial conversation, test how people affected by stroke connect with the Stroke Association next, and what they connect to.

· Explore how to increase connection with those who are not present on the ward at the same time as us.

(note- we may test some or all the above)

To support flexible delivery and testing, you'll also develop your skills by providing phone support to people affected by stroke.

The role includes working in Doncaster Royal Infirmary starting with twice weekly visits, for 3 hours per session. These sessions can be any time after 11am.  The length, timing and cadence of the sessions may need to adjust as this is a test and we will be led by what works for the hospital and people affected by stroke.

Occasional overnight stays may be required. 

About You

Key skills/experience: 

· Experience of communicating directly with people affected by stroke, either on the phone or face to face. 

· Experienced in person centred support Emotional intelligence and good judgement skills

· Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly at a time where emotions may be heightened.

· High levels of emotional resilience to handle complex situations whilst working in a hospital environment.

· Ability to embrace the principles of coaching and reflective practice to drive continuous improvement.

The Refugee Employment Network (REN) is the UK's national network dedicated exclusively to refugee employment. We bring together employers, charities, local authorities, government and refugee-led organisations to improve employment outcomes and create a more inclusive labour market.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Lead to lead the implementation, rollout and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace and wider digital systems across the Refugee Employment Network.

The Refugee Employment Marketplace is a digital platform connecting displaced people in the UK with jobs, employers and employment support.

Working closely with developers, partners and users, you will help ensure the Marketplace is successfully implemented, accessible, adopted and scaled across Wales and the wider REN network. Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Product Development & Delivery

· Lead the implementation, customisation and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace to meet REN’s organisational goals and user needs.

· Work with external platform providers and developers to coordinate product delivery, customisation, timelines and ongoing improvements.

· Build and maintain project plans, documentation and delivery processes to support successful implementation and rollout.

· Lead on data protection, GDPR compliance and digital security across REN’s digital platforms and systems.

· Build relationships with employers, industry bodies and strategic partners to grow platform adoption, secure opportunities and strengthen the value proposition of the Marketplace.

· Support the matching of displaced talent to jobs, opportunities and employment support, including manual interventions where needed to improve outcomes and user experience.

· Track and report on employment outcomes, employer engagement and platform impact to inform growth, improvement and sustainability.

Essential

Digital Product & Project Management

· Experience managing or supporting the development, implementation, rollout and continuous improvement of digital products, platforms or technology-enabled projects.

· Experience managing external developers, contractors or digital suppliers to deliver digital products or systems.

· Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently, use initiative and manage competing priorities.

·Ability to support the implementation and adoption of new digital products, platforms or systems.

Partnerships & Training

·Currently based in Wales, with the ability to build relationships and engage with employers, partners and stakeholders across the country.

·    Strong relationship-building skills, with experience developing partnerships and growing engagement with employers, charities, government or sector organisations to support the adoption and growth of a digital product, platform, project or service.

·Ability to facilitate workshops, focus groups or training sessions to support the adoption of digital tools or systems, or equivalent transferable experience.

·Ability to communicate digital information clearly to non-technical audiences through training, onboarding and user support.

Digital Systems & User Support

· Experience developing, managing or supporting digital platforms, CRM systems, websites or other online tools.

· Ability to provide day-to-day user support, including onboarding, troubleshooting and helping users engage confidently with digital platforms.

· Understanding of user-centred design, accessibility and digital inclusion.

Data and Compliance

· Experience using data, analytics or reporting to inform digital improvements and decision-making.

· Understanding of GDPR, data protection and digital security best practice.

Desirable

· Lived experience as a refugee, asylum seeker, displaced person or migrant, or direct experience of the UK immigration or asylum system.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our South West London Team. Reporting to Service Delivery Coach, Gavin Hughes.

Position: 000028 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, South West London – Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027. However, regular travel will be required as part of this role (will include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: Circa £22,600 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum/pro rata or outer London weighting £2,457 per annum/pro rata may be applied in accordance with where you live)  (FTE circa £28,300 per annum plus any London weighting if applicable)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

· Organise and facilitate effective service communication for the benefit of stroke survivors and carers in understanding and achieving their goals.

· Ensure that timely, confidential and accurate records are kept on our CRM data base and all data is in line with our retention policy and GDPR compliant.

· Develop and manage service volunteers to support service delivery for stroke survivors and carers as required.

About You

You will have experience in:

· Providing person centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long term health condition and their carers

· Ability to nurture emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home

· Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face to face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls)

This role requires regular travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
