Worldwide Veterinary Service is searching for a People and Policy Officer to support the growth of our charity.

This is an ideal role for an experienced administrator who wants to help make lasting improvements to the lives of animals around the world.

Reporting to the Director of Policy at global animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), you will support development and implementation of the charity’s processes and policies. This role combines different areas of internal policy, risk management and governance support, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people to improve systems and deliver tangible results. We are growing and we need your help to maintain a dynamic culture that encourages innovation, is an exciting and rewarding place to work and delivers the biggest possible impact for the animals that we help.

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world.

Last year, WVS treated over 103,000 animals, trained over 2,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,042 parcels of veterinary supplies to 231 charities in 65 countries. Over 1.2 m dogs were vaccinated against rabies last year as part of our Mission Rabies campaign.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 Policy and Governance

• Assist with organisation of trustee meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date records of policies, procedures, and statutory documentation.
• Support compliance with Charity Commission requirements.
• Coordinate risk management processes, policy reviews and ensure timely updates and dissemination.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide technical advice and ease the implementation of policies at WVS projects around the world.
• Support audits in the UK and of international affiliates.
• Liaise with trustees and external partners to support governance processes.

People

• Support recruitment processes across teams including advertising, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate and confidential staff and volunteer records in line with GDPR.
• Support uniform induction for staff and volunteers to maintain culture during a period of rapid growth.
• Assist with the effective communication and implementation of policies and procedures.

General

• Any Other duties as required

Essential Skills & Experience

•  2 + years’ experience in HR or governance administration.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
• A strong team player.
• A passion for animal welfare.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the use of other programmes or AI agents to improve the efficiency of organisational administration.
• Understanding of charity sector and compliance requirements.

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s aid have for over 40 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse?

Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for Neurodivergent children, young people and families using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The post holder will use their skills to support children and young people who are referred in to or have self-referred in to the A for Autism Service. This service is a community based Pre and Post Autism Diagnostic Service. Information about the Job Role

This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work schedule being both office based and community based, working mainly with Primary and Secondary aged children and their families, and delivering workshops and one to one support in Croydon based Primary and Secondary Schools, and at CDI sites. Applicants must be willing to travel around Croydon as the service is community based. Occasional travel outside of Croydon may also arise to best meet the needs of those accessing the service.  This role will have line management responsibility of one staff member within the service, and will include a lead focus in terms of service planning, design and delivery.

As Grants and Bids Manager, you will manage statutory funding applications of five, six and seven figure multi-year income compliant with commissioner/funder requirements and oversee the project management of applications – managing timelines, activities, delegating tasks and ensuring stakeholders meet them, support decision-making through providing relevant and informed advice and producing high quality funding proposals and applications.

Main Duties

• Manage a portfolio of grants from key Trusts, Foundations and statutory funders. Ensure that funders are aware of project performance, and that ClientEarth’s implementation is always in compliance with grant agreements. 
• Develop and produce well researched and comprehensive proposals and reports to existing donors that meet funding priorities and requirements, within the submission deadline and oversee the coordination of Programme, Development and Finance teams as required for effective grant management. 
• Work closely with the Global Head of Grants, Grants Management Lead and wider Development Leadership on budget forecasts and donor pipeline to ensure effective, joined-up cultivation of prospects and income generation. 
• Oversee, review and, as appropriate, sign–off on the work of line managed staff (including reports, proposal, and other written material for internal and external purposes).

JOB SUMMARY

1. To work alongside the Involvement Project Lead, the Involvement Administrative Coordinator, two Peer Involvement Coordinators, and the wider Involvement Team.

2. Use peer support values and principles within the context of supporting people to take part in involvement and coproduction activities.

3. Support people with lived experience of trust services through the registration process to enable them to join the Lived Experience Network.

4. Build connections with Lived Experience Members, gaining an understanding of their lived experience of services, their interests and what they may want to gain from taking part actively. Using this knowledge to support them to become involved in involvement and coproduction activities.

5. Support members in their involvement through 1 to 1 check-ins, group facilitation, and by offering support before, during and after involvement activities.

6. Through the wisdom of their own lived experience, and a respect for the diversity of perspectives and experiences, the postholder will challenge stigma and inspire hope and a belief that recovery is possible.

7. Support with the management of the central point of contact for the Involvement Team via the team shared inbox, telephone number and office drop-in (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

8. Provide efficient and professional face to face, telephone and virtual contact and support functions for trust service users, carers, and staff.

9. Offer support to respond to staff and member enquiries; requests to promote involvement opportunities to the Lived Experience Network; selecting members for opportunities and responding to new joiner interest.

10. Offer support to staff to plan, advertise, and run involvement activities with the aim of developing meaningful / impactful involvement.

We have a great job opening in our Grants team at ClientEarth! As Grants Officer you will work in our Grants Team to manage a portfolio of grants that fund our organisation’s work.

ClientEarth’s Development Department is responsible for raising and managing funds to enable the organisation to deliver its mission using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for, and with its inhabitants. The department is formed of several fundraising strands: a Grants Team and a Business Development Team that manage and secure funding from trusts, foundations, and institutional donors; and a Philanthropy Team, working with a wide range of individuals and organisations to raise primarily unrestricted gifts to support ClientEarth’s work. 

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Lydia Baker. Lydia joined ClientEarth in August 2024 and in her role as a Grants Manager is responsible for managing relationships with key funders. Lydia has worked in the NGO sector for over eight years and has expertise in a variety of functions including grant management, programme management, communications and monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.  On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with Lydia as part of an established Grants Team that sits within the Development Department at ClientEarth.

Main Duties

• Funding portfolio management - Have a close and in-depth knowledge of their grants portfolio, including a sound understanding of the philanthropic, institutional and statutory funding mix;
• Internal and external communications - Meet with Trust, Foundation and Institution portfolio managers to discuss proposals, provide updates on the programmatic work, and to formally report back on financial, organisational and technical issues; 
• Project management - Effectively manage reporting and the grant renewal process from start to completion including working with multiple teams across ClientEarth’s European and international offices to ensure input from all avenues to complete proposals and reports in a timely and high-quality manner; and 
• Financial planning and budget handling - Work with Finance and Programmes staff to develop individual budgets for funding proposals
• Systems and processes - Maintain funder database systems (Raiser’s Edge) and other organisational databases (SharePoint) on a daily basis

DARE is the lead organisation in Darwen working with asylum seekers and refugees. We provide assistance across a wide range of issues, including helping asylum seekers through the complexities of the asylum system. We address issues of destitution and assist asylum seekers and newly recognised refugees to access key services including housing, welfare benefits, health, education and employment. About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Support coach to join our team which focus on supporting residents with OPD (Offender Personality Disorder) and related cognitive or behavioural challenges, many of whom have experienced institutional care or social exclusion. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, acting as a mentor and lead for the team, providing advice and guidance, as well as providing specialist expertise to the team and residents. 

You will further deliver one-to-one support with residents directly, developing personalised support plans, risk assessments, facilitating life skills sessions, and help individuals access services, resources, and opportunities within the community. Our support is tailored towards providing person centred support to empower our residents to achieve their personal goals and independent living. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, flexible, inclusive, and psychologically informed environment that promotes dignity, choice, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities further Include:

• Delivering effective 1:1 and group-based support for residents/participants in line with support plans
• Providing specialist advice and guidance to the team and residents
• Acting as the first point of contact in the absence of management
• Supporting property management tasks including reporting repairs, monitoring health & safety, and maintaining high accommodation standards
• Supporting residents to access relevant networks, training, life skills, and community resources
• Promoting resident participation in the design and running of service activities
• Working flexibly to meet the needs of the service and taking part in continuous improvement initiatives
• Deputising for management when required 

About You

We're looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of Offender Personality Disorder, able to share this with others and act as a mentor to resolving complex cases. You'll bring experience within a similar environment to the role, and have experience in supporting similar residents with areas of social care, supported housing, and community support. You will have a commitment to person-centred support and have an understanding of the importance of trauma-informed care, able to lead by example.

Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years. 

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Adults Peer Support Worker to join our busy Peer Support team. You will have your own lived experience of mental health issues and be able to use this experience as well as your professional skills and knowledge to support others.

RB Mind has run effective peer-led services for many years. The role will be supported by RB Mind Senior Peer Support Workers, and the Peer Support Coordinator in South West London St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLStG). Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and clinical supervision.

With the expansion of our work in this area we aim to reduce waiting times, reduce the number of people going into crisis, address inequalities and support transitions from youth to adult services. We offer holistic and personalised care and support to service users.

The role has its own caseload and provides a range of support and person-centred interventions to meet these needs, which could include group support, one-to-one interventions and signposting where specialist advice is needed.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and able to support people on their journey to recovery. As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicant will have the skills to provide person-centred support through one-to-one sessions and facilitating groups. You will have an awareness of the boundaries we work within when supporting vulnerable adults. You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and must be able to work on your own initiative.

Trusts and Foundations Manager 

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity (SMITFC) is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Trusts and Foundations Manager to help shape the future of our income generation from charitable trusts and foundations. This is a pivotal role within our Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Team, working to ensure that we not only maintain but significantly grow our sustainable income streams in support of people experiencing homelessness and extreme vulnerability.

Working alongside the Philanthropy Manager and Prospect Researcher, this role will be responsible for identifying and securing new 5-6 figure+ gifts, maintaining and deepening engagement with our existing funding partners and developing a pipeline of future funding opportunities designed to spread risk and build for a reliable, realistic income growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

 The successful candidate will:

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations (P&TF) to develop the Charity’s Trust and Foundations growth strategy ensuring it maximises sustainable net income from both general and restricted Trust and Foundation funding sources, diversifies income and starts to spread income timelines away from a reliance on our Christmas appeal period.
• Work collaboratively across the charity to acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of SMITFC values and programmes, to inform the creation of bespoke donor materials, cases for support, funding proposals and reports.
• Lead on the creation and submission of bespoke proposals and reports to existing Trusts and Foundations, maintaining accurate development and submission deadlines and excellent records of progress and outcomes on CRM.
• Lead on the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships with existing funders and trustees, identifying opportunities for key decision makers to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities, whilst gaining a greater understanding of a project’s long term aims and consequent impact.
• Work in collaboration with the Prospect Researcher to develop a pipeline of new 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects able to give within the next 3 years.
• Lead on the bespoke stewardship and engagement of newly identified 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects and ensure that submission deadlines are met, and reporting schedules observed.
• Work with the P&TF team to deliver our annual Christmas Appeal – to include the development of the P&TF Christmas Appeal 2025, deliver the annual Christmas Appeal Launch event, and optimize the use of social medial and other platforms to reach potential new funders over the Christmas period and beyond.
• Work with the P&TF team to develop the high value offering for the 100 Anniversary appeal 2026.
• Ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively and provide Trust and Foundation fundraising financial information as required by the Head of P&TF – including contributing to income risk assessments, identifying gaps or shifts in funding and support contingency planning with the wider P&TF team.
• Ensure accurate records of funding opportunities, donor contact details and prospect research are maintained across CRM and finance systems.
• Work collaboratively with SMITF partner charities to align stewardship, donor asks and maximise income.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will be responsible for a range of essential duties, including receiving, reviewing, and securely storing incoming RLSE applications and maintaining accurate and timely records of applications, awards and outcomes.
