About the Role
As part of our collaborative Finance Business Partnering team, you’ll support fundraising, communications, advocacy, and activism across Mencap. You’ll provide clear financial advice, insightful analysis, and strong financial management to ensure our fundraising income is used effectively to benefit people with learning disabilities.
Over the next five years Mencap have big ambitions to significantly grow our fundraising income and increase our influencing and campaigning impact to ensure people with a learning disability can live life to the full.
This role is a full time permanent position. There is flexibility around where the role is based. We have large offices in London and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK.
You will need to travel occasionally for meetings. However, this role will primarily be working remotely.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with directorate teams to create robust budgets and forecasts, offering support and advice for realistic financial planning.
- Providing clear financial reports and analysis to help teams understand results, spot emerging issues, and make informed decisions.
- Supporting complex income forecasting (e.g. legacies), using scenario analysis to guide planning and assess risk.
- Delivering financial analysis and modelling to support investment decisions.
- Ensuring funding applications and management of restricted funds are accurate and compliant.
- Improving finance processes and reporting, including with our new Salesforce fundraising CRM system.
- Acting as key contact for external auditors and funders regarding fundraising financials.
- Ensuring accounting and financial compliance with Charity SORP and other relevant regulations.
- Managing and coaching an FBP team member, supporting their development.
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in finance business partnering, ideally within a charity or fundraising environment.

About the role
At the heart of our operations, our exceptional Regional Casework Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for members of the armed forces community reaching out to our Regional Offices for support.
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. You may be supporting individuals in distress over the phone, managing email and voicemail communications, collaborating with volunteers on complex casework, building strong relationships with local authorities and charitable organisations, or working closely with internal services to secure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support them. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensuring that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the East of England region in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, or Essex.
You will occasionally be required to travel around the region or further afield, to attend face to face meetings or training events.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. You will initially be required to attend an in-person caseworkers’ course which may require an overnight stay.

You will be the first point of contact for the organisation, supporters, potential supporters and people seeking information about Shelter’s work. You will provide information on our work and housing/homelessness to supporters and members of the public, act on supporter requests and take part in fundraising administration. Maintaining accurate supporter records, liaising with other departments when necessary and handle any complaints about services and fundraising activity will also be key parts of the role.
About you
With excellent communication and administration skills, gained working in a customer service environment, including handling complaints, you will have experience of reviewing, updating and relaying information from various databases. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and the internet and a strong attention to detail and accuracy are also required. An understanding of how the Helpdesk service impacts on the Shelter brand will also be important as well as having resilience dealing with enquiries that may be difficult in nature.

Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute towards Poppyscotlands annual Poppy Appeal?
We’re looking for a Temporary Administration Assistant to join us for the Poppy Appeal 2025, supporting one of the UK’s best-known and most meaningful fundraising campaigns. This is a great opportunity to play a key part in helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring our teams and volunteers have the support they need to make this year’s Appeal a success.
Duties will include:
- Data entry - logging donor payments, recording communications and orders received from existing volunteers and new supporters and creating new records
- Mailing out letters and forms
- Interacting with members of the public and volunteers by email and on the telephone ensuring the charity’s high standards of customer service are maintained
- Coordinating selected Poppy Appeal collection activities at various venues in and around the Greater Glasgow area between 20th October – 11th November
- Banking and cash handling
- Overseeing the distribution schedule of the Temporary Drivers on a daily basis
- Occasionally accompanying the Driver whilst delivering and collecting in Central Glasgow and other areas of West Scotland
- Supporting other members of the fundraising team with other administrative tasks when required
- Participating in Poppy Appeal collections at various venues around Glasgow on Saturday 8th November 2025
You will have demonstrable experience using various IT systems (including Microsoft Office and data entry) and will be a confident communicator. You will have the ability to work to deadlines and offer a flexible approach in your work to the changing needs of the Poppy Appeal. A current driving licence is desirable but not essential.
Reporting to the Poppy Appeal Organiser, this role is offered on a basic contract of 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 3.30pm, with some flexibility required to meet business needs. Occasional weekend work may be necessary, including Saturday 8th November, 9.00am - 4.30pm.

What does this role do?
As a Senior Supporter Stewardship Agent, you will:
- oversee the daily operations of the Supporter Stewardship team, distributing work and ensuring work is delivered to a high standard,
- have meaningful conversations with our supporters and solve any complex queries that arise,
- liaise with other teams and departments to ensure supporter queries are resolved efficiently,
- train and upskill more junior members of the team, supporting them to deliver an excellent supporter experience.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Refugee Migrant Centre as a Caseworker, authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), formerly known as OISC. RMC is a well-established, award-winning regional charity, widely recognised for its impactful work with refugees and migrants.
For over 23 years, RMC has assisted thousands of refugees and migrants from 162 countries, helping to break down barriers to integration and enabling clients to become equal citizens. We provide a holistic range of services, from specialist legal advice to education and employment programs.
The successful candidate will join RMC’s Immigration department and play a key role in delivering free immigration advice and representation. This is an exciting time to join the team as RMC is expanding its infrastructure following significant growth in staff, activities, and turnover—rising from £776k to £2.8 million in the past five years.
RMC is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) and is accredited to provide free immigration advice up to Level 3, covering cases from initial advice through to the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.
Our immigration services focus on assisting migrants (including undocumented migrants), refugees, and asylum-seekers in navigating the UK’s complex immigration legal system. We help clients secure the right to remain in the UK for themselves and their families, with a particular emphasis on human rights claims, family and private life applications, family reunion, settlement, citizenship, and applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Purpose of the Role:
Main duties and responsibilities
All Caseworkers (Levels 1 and 2) will be required to carry out the tasks shown below:
Casework and client care:
· To provide one-to-one specialist advice in immigration and asylum area of law
· To provide thorough, professional, high quality and timely casework and advice
· To ensure accurate recording keeping and ensure all necessary and associated administrative tasks are completed
· To ensure case deadlines and key dates are recorded, monitored and actioned in a timely manner
· To conduct all casework and advice in compliance with all IAA regulatory requirements and the IAA code of standards
· To maintain confidentiality in all dealings with clients
Training and development:
· To keep up to date with changes in the law

Person Specification
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills- essential
· Accredited at IAA Level 1 or 2
· Experience in delivering advice and representation in the field of UK immigration and asylum
· Experience in working with clients with vulnerabilities and/or migrants, asylum-seekers, refugees
· Knowledge of most immigration areas, with a good understanding of at least one area such as the EUSS, asylum, human rights or family-based applications

About this key role

What the job involves
The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.
You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.
The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.
This role is fixed term until end of October 2026 covering an internal secondment.

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task, supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. You’ll have experience of communicating in plain English across multiple platforms including social media and our website.
