We are looking for an experienced counsellor, with a background in humanistic modalities and have trained in, or have knowledge in, Compassion Focused Therapies and with experience working within the LGBTQIA+ community.

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.

This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Culture and internal support: Act as a culture ambassador, upholding Animal Equality’s values of professionalism, resilience, accountability, and compassion. Strengthen communication between teams and ensure effective use of project management tools. Identify and lead process improvements with guidance from the Operations Manager.
• Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Provide excellent donor support, including thanking donors, resolving payment issues, and sending mailings. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
• Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
• Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.
• Data and systems: Conduct database cleansing and maintain accurate supporter, volunteer, and executive records.
• Represent Animal Equality’s culture: Support Animal Equality’s life-saving work by producing high-quality output, embracing and representing the organisation’s culture principles proudly at all times, and supporting our philanthropic efforts.
• Support with other ad hoc duties, as requested by your line manager.

Role Overview:

Rainbow Mind Greater Manchester is looking for a passionate and proactive Delivery & Development Coordinator with relevant lived experience to help shape and deliver inclusive mental health support for LGBTQIA+ communities.

In this dynamic role, you’ll assist on leading communications, outreach, and service development, while coordinating client assessments and strengthening partnerships across the region. Your insight will help drive continuous improvement, ensuring our services are responsive, impactful, and community-led.

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

• Deep understanding of the Greater Manchester LGBTQIA+ landscape, including grassroots groups, charities and local dynamics.
• Track record of working in community development, service growth or partnership-building roles within the third sector.
• Confident communicator with experience promoting services through both digital and face-to-face engagement.
• High level of data literacy, with experience using CRM systems to support monitoring and evaluation.
• Comfortable working independently and bringing forward ideas and initiatives for service development.
• Experience in safeguarding, risk management and handling sensitive or complex client presentations.
• Strong lived experience within the LGBTQIA+ community and ability to apply this to work with sensitivity and authenticity.

About you

You’ll be a strategic, collaborative, creative facilitator who can spark innovative thinking across teams. You can convene the right people and support CIUK to develop bold, audience-focused digital ideas. You’ll be motivated by the opportunity to help us rapidly scale up our digital programme and a keen self-starter with lots of enthusiasm.

About the role

You will work cross-functionally to break down silos, develop an integrated digital strategy, and rapidly scale up our digital activity to meet our fundraising growth ambitions. You’ll set the bar for digital best practice and champion this across the organisation; sharing learning, helping outline a roadmap to becoming a digital-first organisation. You’ll support across teams with testing and innovating new products and propositions.

This role will require a digital strategist with experience across the mix – from mobilisation and campaigning to fundraising and supporter experience. A keen eye for analysis and an audience-led approach, enables you to look beyond any one function or objective to drive growth; be that income, impact or engagement. You’ll have ample experience and/or knowledge of a wide variety of digital platforms and tools including CMS systems, Google Analytics, PowerBi, Impact Stack/Engaging Networks, MailChimp, social media and Adwords.

This is a part-time role but we are open to flexible working arrangements and a discussion around hours.

We are looking for a Governance & Administration Coordinator to provide servicing and support for our governance meetings. This will involve ensuring meetings and committees are governed to exemplary standards, and to ensure we comply with relevant legislation and other regulatory requirements. You will join the Governance & Compliance team which oversees our governance arrangements, as well as our complaint, disciplinary and safeguarding procedures.

Do you have experience in supporting committees and internal meetings on matters related to governance, organisational planning and oversight? Do you have experience in coordinating agendas, papers and minute-taking for formal meetings with a varied portfolio of meetings, working with different chairs and stakeholders?
