About the Role
Do you have a creative flair and a passion for collaboration? We’re looking for someone to help shape and deliver a public engagement and events programme that showcases Headway East London’s occupational projects in art, food and music, strengthens partnerships, and raises awareness of brain injury.
The role is to work closely with our members, you will co-produce events, workshops and creative projects that highlight their experiences and talents. Also, nurture and develop relationships with partners and stakeholders, identify new opportunities for collaboration and ensure members are meaningfully involved in all aspects of engagement.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Public Engagement Programme Delivery
- Support the delivery of a public engagement programme that raises awareness of brain injury and showcase our creative work in art, food, and music.
- Work closely with the Director of Development and staff teams to identify and develop opportunities for public engagement (e.g. exhibitions, performances, and community events).
Member Co-production and Creative Participation
- Work closely with members to support their participation in projects and events, ensuring their voices and experiences contribute to the planning and delivery.
- Support in facilitating steering groups or member planning sessions to shape ideas and gather feedback for improvements.
Partnerships and External Relationships
- Support in building and maintaining positive relationships with local organisations, cultural venues, and community partners to broaden our reach and profile.
- Represent Headway East London at events, meetings and community forums, acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation and its members.
Event, Operations and Delivery
- Support all logistical aspects of events, including venue booking, liaising with suppliers, organising materials, and coordinating volunteers.
- Contribute to event promotion and audience engagement, including managing guest lists, ticketing, and attendee communications.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Support the collection of feedback, stories, and data from events and projects to evaluate their success and impact.
- Support with monitoring and reporting processes that inform fundraising, communications, and project planning.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to support the Senior Finance Manager in the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. You will play a key role in maintaining financial controls, supporting the annual audit, processing transactions, and delivering timely financial reporting. Key responsibilities
To provide high-quality administrative and financial support across the Finance Department, acting as the first point of contact for finance enquiries and managing the finance inbox. What We are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance or accounting support role, with working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures—ideally including QuickBooks. They will demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a sound understanding of VAT, expense processing, and reconciliations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. The First Contact Team is a dynamic one-stop service that transforms the way patients and referral agencies access the Hospice’s services. An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Administrator to join the First Contact Team. - Excellent account management skills with partners and donors across diverse sectors, including governments, institutions, private foundations and corporates such as the Clinton Foundation, Google, AWS, and ECHO, with particular experience in working with FCDO and other institutional donors.
- A solid understanding of the humanitarian system, including funding landscapes, trends, and opportunities.
- Experience managing complex bids and partnerships ideally in excess of £1 million or more.

We are looking for an inspiring individual to empower and grow our RSPB Youth Group network, offering leadership, advice and support. In this role, you’ll shape the next generation of nature champions by working through volunteers.
What's the role about?
- Providing regional coordination and direction of RSPB Youth Group operations and building volunteer capability in England.
- Working collaboratively to develop high quality initiatives that enable our Youth Groups to inspire new and more diverse support, giving nature a voice in more communities across England.
- Advocating for RSPB Youth Groups and embedding them in area teams, projects and activities as part of our strategic outcomes to tackle the nature and climate emergency.
- Making sure our Youth Groups are following RSPB policies and procedures, complying with legal requirements and working within agreed RSPB Youth Group frameworks.
- Monitoring and evaluating RSPB Youth Group activities to demonstrate the positive impact of RSPB Youth Groups and their contribution to RSPB strategic outcomes.
- Identifying, developing and delivering training and resources required by RSPB Youth Groups to maximise their impact for nature.
- Championing RSPB Youth Groups both internally and externally, influencing and raising awareness of what they do through communications planning to make sure that their contribution is celebrated and valued.
- Lead, manage and support a team of country expert volunteers to assist with some or all the above.
This role will work alongside the Youth Group Development Officer, North England to manage the England network of Youth Groups. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across four countries and UKHQ from a range of teams including Area Teams, People Engagement, Youth Mobilisation and Volunteering.
This role will require one evening each month to deliver training and induction sessions. Additionally, you’ll travel up to six times a year, at weekends, to visit RSPB Youth Groups in person.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Strong understanding of best practice and sector standards in working with young people in a non-formal youth setting, combined with a proven ability to design, develop and successfully deliver a range of activities that engage and inspire groups of young people.
- Knowledge and understanding of volunteering best practice, innovation and sector standards with a strong track record of successfully developing volunteering roles across an organisation.
- Understanding and experience of volunteering through working with volunteers in a management capacity.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, persuade, guide and negotiate effectively. Skilled in active listening and constructively challenging thinking where appropriate.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and determine areas of improvement. Adept at working collaboratively to develop creative strategies and practical solutions that drive positive change.

The successful candidate will provide advice and casework to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in South East London on matters relating to housing and homelessness, welfare benefits, NRPF support, community care and asylum support. The candidate has the exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of AFRIL's Casework Drop-in for asylum seekers and recently granted refugees, supported by a Caseworker and Outreach Volunteers. The post holder, if not already Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) accredited, will also be supported to obtain IAA Level 2 accreditation, to embed some immigration legal advice into their broader caseload.
AFRIL’s Casework Service also uses casework trends and data to work with community members in order to engage in policy and systemic change. Utilising casework and community co-production, the service has created sector wide resources on asylum support, engaged in strategic litigation and successfully influenced local, pan-London and national policy outcomes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to feed into AFRIL's broader policy work, and develop local partnerships.

The Purpose of the Role
IRC’s External Relations (ER) department brings together Fundraising, Communications and Policy & Advocacy functions. With the aim to raise money, awareness and influence for crisis-affected populations worldwide, the department combines knowledge and expertise across multiple national markets.
The IRC fundraising teams are comprised of colleagues and teams working in the USA, UK, Germany, Sweden and Korea as well as emerging markets delivering direct marketing, content, account management, philanthropy, board liaison, corporate as well as trust and foundation partnerships to support IRC’s national fundraising strategies.
The IRC’s private fundraising capability in the UK has grown significantly over the past five years. Ambitious growth plans are in place to deliver increasing income from the private sector as part of an exciting global External Relations strategy.
The Director of UK Mass Markets is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Mass Markets team in the UK and for securing long-term sustainable income for the IRC through individual donor acquisition, retention and supporter care. You will lead and develop a high-performing team by growing mass marketing audiences and income, developing exciting and targeted campaigns, identifying opportunities for product, channel and audience diversification, and championing UX and a supporter centric fundraising model. The Director will also serve as a key partner to the UK Executive Director as they facilitate cross-team collaboration, accountability and success among all private fundraising teams in the UK (Philanthropy, Global Corporate Partnerships, Foundations & Trusts and Mass Markets). The Director will play a leadership role in IRC UK more widely as a member of the UK Senior Management Team (UKSMT). The UKSMT is collectively responsible for achieving the cross-functional goals of IRC UK’s strategy and actively fostering an inclusive workplace at IRC UK.

Scope and Authority

Key Accountabilities
· Aligned to the overall Global External Relations Strategy, develop, implement, monitor and report on IRC UK’s fundraising and supporter engagement strategy.
· Lead fundraising campaigns (acquisition, retention, mid-level) that deliver unrestricted income to enable IRC’s work. Channels include e-mail, direct mail, inserts, Facebook advertising, new forms of social media, and adwords, as well as telemarketing etc.
· Develop a supporter engagement programme that focusses on developing and deepening long-term relationships and drives retention rates.
· Develop and deliver an innovation programme, ensuring fundraising products and activity are at the forefront of the UK sector and allow IRC to cut through to new audiences.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

I'm partnering with a well-established community charity in North West London to recruit a Specialist Debt Adviser for an impactful, resident-focused project. This is a brilliant opportunity for an accredited adviser who wants to deliver high-quality, FCA-regulated debt advice as part of a supportive, community-centred team.
Working on-site three days a week, you'll provide comprehensive casework support to local residents - helping people stabilise their financial situation, maximise income, negotiate with creditors and access the wider wellbeing, training and support services available through the charity and its partners.
You'll be employed on a fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent (subject to funding), and will benefit from dedicated professional supervision from a specialist debt-advice organisation.
The role
As the Specialist Debt Adviser, you will:
Deliver full, regulated debt advice in line with FCA standards and the Debt Advice Quality Framework
Manage a varied and ongoing caseload, conducting weekly face-to-face appointments
Prepare detailed financial statements, negotiate repayment plans and advocate for clients
Support income maximisation (benefit checks, grants, vouchers, DHPs, etc.)
Maintain high-quality case records and ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR and internal standards
Work closely with the wider team to provide holistic, joined-up support

About you
