About this Internship
The Youth Voice Development Officer is a 12-month internship starting in March 2026. It is part of the Rank Foundation’s Time 2 Shine Leadership programme, and the successful candidate will need to commit to attending a range of training events throughout the year which are delivered by the Rank Foundation. Travel and accommodation will be provided.
Main Purpose of this Role:
The role’s main purpose is to support the delivery and monitoring of Reaching Higher’s Youth Voice strategy by working closely with the Head of Contextual Youth Work (Community) and empowering young people to meaningfully shape and share their voices. This includes supporting young people to co-develop and co-deliver Youth Voice training for a range of stakeholders, preparing and accompanying them to facilitated meetings with key leaders across Croydon’s schools, statutory services and community organisations, and ensuring their perspectives are heard and valued. The role also involves planning and delivering regular training and development opportunities for Youth Board members, supporting youth-led events such as the annual community meal, and mentoring a small cohort of young people to build their confidence, skills and leadership capacity.

Advocacy Officer
We are looking for an Advocacy Officer to bring enthusiasm, excellent project management skills, eye to detail and an eagerness to learn to our small but mighty advocacy team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of global efforts to tackle air pollution and climate change.
As an Advocacy Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering our advocacy strategy - engaging with grantees, policymakers, and leading experts to influence decisions that matter. Your work will help accelerate action on air quality at international, national, and local levels, and expand the reach and impact of donor funding for clean air initiatives.
Our advocacy spans major global platforms such as COP, G20, and partnerships with multilateral and bilateral donors, UN agencies, and country representatives. We combine direct advocacy with strategic grant-making to amplify voices and drive systemic change.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and support the smooth delivery of advocacy activities, from coordinating Clean Air Fund’s presence at global events, organising stakeholder engagement and events, to drafting briefings. This includes the potential for travel to global advocacy moments such as COP.
- Manage grantee portfolios, ensuring impactful partnerships and effective onboarding.
- Provide research and analysis to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Keep our team and partners aligned through clear communication and project management.
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for an early-career professional eager to make a difference in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You’ll bring:
- Experience of advocacy work, which can be at the national/sub-national as well as global level
- Project management expertise with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
- Strong skills in research, data analysis, and contextual understanding.
- A genuine interest in international affairs, climate and environmental issues, politics, finance, and social change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive writing and confident presentation delivery.

In this role you’ll work on our school food portfolio and manage a variety of activities and outputs related to this. The postholder will contribute to the organisation’s own school food work, as well as leading on our role in two school food coalitions – School Food Review and Feeding Futures.
Across these workstreams, you’ll get a chance to:
- contribute to the refinement of policy asks and comms messaging,
- undertake desk research on school food to inform policy,
- coordinate activities with different stakeholders from across the school food eco-system,
- support Ambassadors on school-food related advocacy,
- play a key role in hard hitting communications and campaign work.
