We are looking for someone to work with a clear strategy and then develop, grow and successfully manage our Youth Advisory (YAG) and Alumni groups, as well as lead the engagement of families / support networks. As an Independent Modern Slavery Advocate (IMSA), you will provide advocacy and victim services to survivors of modern slavery in the UK - managing a caseload, conducting assessments and developing pathways for survivors.

Key Result Areas:

• Progressing caseload from initial assessment to closure, addressing identified needs
• Building and maintaining partnerships with other organisations (including state and NGO) to create opportunities for survivors of modern slavery
• Supporting the Reforming Society agenda – providing evidence base for reform; providing advice and training, where necessary, to agencies in the community to improve responses to victims of modern slavery thus creating lasting structural change

The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Role Purpose

The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

· Local employer supporters, corporate partners supporters, other key local stakeholders and networks

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Centre Management and Student Support

· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes  

· Execute our strategy across the region

· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships

· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting

· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme

· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to ensure your Regional Action Board supports you (develop a great relationship with them, set and agree targets and meet with Chair regularly).

· Develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors (one for each student participating) is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

This Includes:

o Promoting Career Ready to potential supporters, engaging their commitment.

o Management of relationships with employer supporters through regular 'keeping in touch'.

o Directly pursuing a prioritised list of prospect funders in your region in line with our organisational strategy. This work will be supported by Partnership Managers and Head of Programmes  

o Using our SME Internship Investment Fund, seek small and medium sized businesses to provide a mentor and host an intern, seeking as much match funding as possible (e.g., we pay for 1 internship and you pay for 1; 50% of internship funded_

o Support engagement, experience and deliver on the programme commitments to corporate partners in your area.

o Support the Head of Programmes and Partnership Manager with programme reporting requirements specific to corporate partners, trusts and foundations

General

· With the Chief Executive, Director of Programmes and Operations, and Heads of Programmes , monitor the state of Career Ready in the region and seek ways to promote its achievements and improve the service given by the central staff team.

· Attend meetings and training days with the national team (approximately 2 times a year – these have tended to take place in London).

· Ensure that all regional management information is submitted to the national Salesforce database in a timely and accurate way.

· In collaboration with the Career Ready team, raise our and key stakeholders’ profile in the area, celebrating success via socials and the local media, business and education communities.

· Undertake public speaking as required to promote the work of Career Ready in the area.

The Young People Programme Manager will work with the Creative Learning team at Factory International to develop, deliver and manage programmes of work with young people between the ages of 14 and 30. This role will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic partnerships with commercial brands, as well as developing new streams of work with a focus on sharing power through curatorial programme decision making, programming and youth governance.

Creative Learning develop and deliver learning programs with young people and children from Cradle to Creative (the age of 0 through to 30) with a focus on underrepresented children, young people and artists. All of our programmes have a social and emotional learning outcome and focus on improving mental health, wellbeing and resilience. Learning programmes are linked to Factory International artistic commissions with wider curatorial themes drawn out to align with social and emotional frameworks.

In the last 12 months, the team has worked with over 25,000 children and young people across Greater Manchester and the North.
 

Young People Programme Manager Responsibilities;

• Develop and deliver innovative, ambitious and transformational programmes for young people with a focus on wellbeing, mental health, and social/emotional learning
• Work with young people to develop their ideas into world class artistic productions
• Manage key strategic relationships, advocate and widen networks for our work across sectors including commercial, creative, educational, cultural and charitable
• Locate, recruit and manage some of the most exciting artists working locally, nationally and internationally to deliver on programmes, with a focus on artists that are underrepresented
• Manage resources for the delivery of programmes including financial and human
• Develop and manage sustained relationships with schools, colleges, universities, youth zones and informal education providers across Greater Manchester/North of England
• Keep abreast of the local, national and international artistic commissions, policy and landscape for young audiences and represent FI on appropriate forums, meetings and events
• Manage monitoring and evaluation processes from the beginning to the end of the cycle of a project embedding learning from the outset to completion
• Contribute to Factory International’s strategies for creative learning more broadly, specifically the engagement of young people in areas of low cultural engagement.

ESSENTIAL

• Drive and imagination to create impactful, curatorial driven, youth led and person centred programmes that match the ambition of Factory International

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for crafting engaging communications, compelling content, and powerful stories to join our team as Communications and Campaigns Manager. In this pivotal role, you will develop and manage a comprehensive communications strategy for the charity, making a significant impact on children and families affected by the childhood cancer neuroblastoma. 

As an exceptional communicator and storyteller, you will have the ability to write for a variety of audiences, inspiring engagement, raising awareness, and driving income growth. You will be experienced in developing and implementing multi-channel communications plans, encompassing social media, digital, and print. Additionally, you will manage and grow the charity’s press and media engagement. 

This is an exciting time to join the charity as we embark on several major campaigns and advocate for improved experiences and outcomes for children and families affected by childhood cancer. 

Summary of role responsibilities 

• Develop, implement and manage a dynamic communications plan for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK that encompasses the three key pillars of our work, across all communication channels;  

• Lead on the development and implementation of online marketing campaigns to raise wider awareness, demonstrate our impact, grow our income, and position our organisation as a thought leader in paediatric oncology;  

• Develop and grow our charity’s’ media presence and profile;  

• Raise the charity’s profile and reach through the generation of new online and offline audiences, followers and supporters.
