About the role

During a period of transition and transformation at NCVO, we’re looking for a strategic leader to join our communications, campaigns and marketing function. This fixed term role would help support the interim Director of Voice and Impact stabilise new teams and evolve and innovate our thinking in two key areas: creative content and marketing.

We want to ensure that we support our members, and the wider sector, as best we can – helping them get the most out of their membership, help them access our support and services and amplify the impact of the voluntary sector for the better.

This role will be a senior lead in both the directorate and the organisation and therefore need to work with leads from across NCVO to understand needs, prioritise and ensure delivery. They will negotiate with, and work collaboratively with, internal stakeholders at all levels – operating in line with our values and behaviour framework.

​This role sits within the Voice & Impact directorate, a team focused on amplifying the voices of charities in civil society and making positive change for the future. It comprises NCVO’s policy and public affairs team; communications, campaigns and marketing team; digital content team and membership and engagement team.

​Communications, Campaigns and Marketing, which has evolved to include digital content, drives brand visibility, strategic messaging, and audience engagement. Through creative storytelling, innovative campaigns and cross-channel marketing, we deliver impactful campaigns that support engagement and income generation.

We are looking for an experienced positive Activities Worker. You will be confident in your work with young people and join our dynamic, ambitious team.

The Positive Activities worker is a new role within the Children's Society East, offering a range of activities that supports a healthy alternative to managing a risks and vulnerabilities that otherwise could lead to long term substance use (inclusive of alcohol and tobacco).

This role links with our Essex Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service (EYPDAS). EYPDAS work with young people aged up to 25 years old who require support for substance or alcohol use. We neither condone nor condemn use but support young people on a voluntary basis to create a care plan that suits their needs and motivations. EYPDAS sits within the established All Age Recovery Co-ordination Service (AARCS), which we deliver in partnership with Open Road, supporting young people, adults and families affected by substance misuse.

In order to be successful with this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have extensive experience of: -

Delivering diversionary interventions with vulnerable young people (8-25) on both a one to one and group work capacity. As well as working to support the family network.

Co-producing care plans with young people that are young people led, focusing on both a relational & strength-based approach.

Extensive partnership working in a multi-agency environment to ensure that the needs and wishes of the young person are heard and acted upon.

You will work as part of a team and need to be able to work in a flexible way which includes flexing their day and work location as need indicates, including being based in the locality office in Chelmsford and working in the home environment to increase convenience and accessibility

You will need to demonstrate that you have:

-A relevant professional qualification working with vulnerable children and families is desired e.g., Diploma/degree in social work, counselling qualification, professional youth worker or related NVQ or degree. Or Substantial relevant experience of working with vulnerable young people facing significant challenges within this sector.

-Experience of working with vulnerable young people and families that are hard to reach and from diverse backgrounds on both a one-to-one basis and through group work interventions.

-Experience of supporting adolescents who are dealing with complex and sensitive issues through offering advice and advocacy.

-Experience of supporting young people through Participation and Youth Voice support.

-Experience of partnership and multi-agency working.

-Experience of working on one's own and within a team.

-Experience of using IT based case management systems.

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. What you will be doing:

We're looking for someone to work with Primary and Secondary schools, directly with children and with teachers, to embed nature-based learning across the curriculum. You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality educational sessions, training teachers, and championing outdoor learning. 

Who we are looking for: 

• You have a personal connection to nature and believe that connecting others to nature plays a key role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies.

• Experience of teaching or delivering education / training sessions. Ideally with a background in teaching, outdoor learning, or Forest School.

• You have a proven ability to provide effective teacher training and inspire staff across primary and secondary settings. You are confident building relationships with teachers and senior school leaders, mentoring them to embed outdoor learning.

• You have a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion - taking on Designated Safeguarding Lead for under 18s. 

• Ideally, you hold a current outdoor first aid qualification.

• A full driving licence and the confidence to drive different vehicles is essential for this role.

Oaklands & St Kilda's is made up of two newly refurbished six-bedroom homes, located close to each other in Ealing, West London. We work with up to 12 young people at a time, providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Many of the young people joining us are moving on from hospital, stepping down from more intensive placements, or transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.

Our team delivers 24-hour trauma-informed and psychologically informed support. You'll play a key role in helping each young person shape their own support and service experience. Everyone receives a bespoke welcome pack and is encouraged to personalise their living space, helping them feel at home from day one.

We place a strong emphasis on participation and co-production. Young people are encouraged to make decisions about their care, engage in partnership meetings, and take part in activities that build skills and confidence - whether that's cooking, budgeting, managing medication, or accessing education and work opportunities.

Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.

This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.

- Building supportive, trusting relationships with young people and creating a positive atmosphere

Are you a dynamic, collaborative and compassionate individual with a proven track record as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system, whether in the community or in prisons?

If so, St Giles and the Wise Group are looking for a Women’s Wellbeing Coach to be an integral part of a multi-agency team providing person-centred support, where you will deliver holistic and trauma informed Women’s services to females on remand or unsentenced.

These services will provide holistic support to community offenders and prison leavers.

About this exciting opportunity

As Women’s Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users, who will be female adults aged 18 years and above on remand and unsentenced within Cambridgeshire.  This role will involve completing Trauma Informed assessments and developing, in collaboration with each service user, action plans which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

We will also rely on you to create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users and to deliver a range of interventions which contribute towards achieving pre-determined targets.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales are both essential aspects of the role, as is providing updates and reports, where required, using a range of formats.

What we are looking for

• Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.
• Experience of working with young adults and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused Experience in delivery of 1:1 and group coaching solutions, including preparation and delivery of skills and learning.
• Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project.

Situated in the centre of Worthing, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Worthing Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing:

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team

Coaching and Engagement:

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)

General:

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

About the Role

Global Canopy is seeking a motivated and adaptable Research Associate to join our growing NRF team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong research foundation in nature-related finance who is looking to build experience across a range of areas including technical analysis, engagement, and capacity-building.

As a Research Associate, you will work across multiple projects aimed at helping shift global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes toward nature-positive ones. In this role you will:

• contribute to capacity-building initiatives that help financial institutions apply tools like ENCORE in real-world settings
• support the design and delivery of research that underpins practical tools and insights that incentivise market participants to account for nature-related risks (for example, integrating nature into financial products and services, designing transition pathways, improving the understanding and pricing of nature-related risks.)
• translate complex, technical content on nature-related finance into formats that are clear and actionable for non-specialist audiences

An initial core responsibility in this role is to support the delivery of capacity-building activities on the ENCORE tool in Colombia, Indonesia, South Africa, and Peru. This includes working closely with in-country consultants to provide technical and operational support, adapt materials to local contexts, and ensure effective implementation on the ground.
This role will report into the NRF deputy director, and will also involve supporting the NRF deputy director in her role within the ENCORE partnership and associated fundraising activities.

• Supervise consultants/suppliers and/or manage relationships with partners who are collaborating on engagement and capacity building activities that help mainstream the use of nature-related financial tools and frameworks
• Develop and curate training materials for example to assist financial institutions in applying ENCORE
• Work closely with the Education and Learning Team in GC to translate technical content into learning offerings
• Explore and develop engagement partnerships on with various stakeholders such as scientific institutions, other IGOs and NGOs. Manage and contribute to governance of these partnerships
• Work with Global Canopy Communications team to ensure that materials for Global Canopy are aligned with organisational approaches to messaging and tone of voice
• Work with Global Canopy Senior Designer to ensure that visual assets and all materials for Global Canopy align with the organisation’s brand identity as needed
• Responsible for designing, leading and preparation of research focusing on key nature-related finance issues
• Ensure highest quality of research outputs and be part of the research teams
• Lead research partnerships on nature-related financial risks with leading scientific institutions. This will include designing governance structures of the research to include market participants as a tester community, advisory committee, or other most appropriate ways to crowd-in practice and test outputs
• Actively contribute to identification of funding opportunities and models (grants, corporate sponsorships etc.) to finance future research work
• Input into development of Global Canopy’s overall strategy and the NRF specific strategy based on area of research
• Support the NRF deputy director in her role within the ENCORE partnership by coordinating partner engagement across key areas. This will include preparation of materials prior to meetings with partners – for example, preparing materials for the ENCORE governance committee or supporting in

Requirements
