As Head of Membership, you will be responsible for developing and implementing CFG’s charity and corporate membership recruitment and retention strategy. You will have a ‘digital first’ mindset, and can ensure data, systems and processes are developed to meet organisational goals. 

We are seeking someone who is a membership expert, has proven business development skills, is comfortable with attaining large financial and commercial targets, is hands-on, and is able to analyse data and draw insights from macro and microenvironments, in order to build a strong engagement and retention strategy.  You are able to strike a superb balance between commercial acumen and member service provision, so that our offerings are tailored, sustainable and effective.  

A natural leader, you will guide the charity membership and corporate member teams and share expertise and knowledge with colleagues across the organisation. You will be a people person, a strong networker comfortable addressing members at events, and have the ability to influence, negotiate and be at ease liaising with senior executives and Board of Trustees.

We are recruiting a Suicide Prevention Officer to facilitate the development, sale and delivery of high quality and impactful training and education programmes, upskilling individuals and organisations in suicide prevention.

In this role, the Law and Policy Advisor / Lawyer will primarily address issues relating to forest governance, climate change and community tenure rights in our focus countries across West and Central Africa, particularly in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The Law and Policy Advisor / Lawyer will use their experience and skills to support the legal capacity of civil society and other stakeholders to take part in the design and implementation of stronger legal frameworks around forest governance, community rights and forest-risk commodities (specifically timber, cocoa & minerals)

This is a parental leave cover position (six months with potential for an extension) and the successful candidate will be expected – after a sufficient handover – to take on and progress an existing portfolio of work.

Her work is grounded in regional priorities while ensuring alignment with ClientEarth’s global mission and strategy.

Main Duties

• Managing ClientEarth project activities in Côte d’Ivoire and in Ghana in coordination with the teams Project Manager and Officer, including planning, budgeting and reporting 
• Critically analysing laws, legislative and policy proposals relevant to forest governance (including carbon market frameworks), land and community rights, forest-risk commodities (including minerals), gender and access to justice in the countries of engagement 
• Maintaining positive working relationships with in-country partners (in particular with civil society organisations, international partners, national governments, as well as private sector representatives, as relevant).

Role requirements

• English and French at (CEFR level C2) with outstanding written and oral communication skills in both languages
• University degree in law
• Professional experience in a legal capacity (in an NGO, the public sector, private practice, or a relevant in-house role) with a focus on natural resources governance; human rights law and policy; environmental law; forest governance; land tenure

About The Role

The Programme Manager will form part of our European programme team, working closely with our functional leads to deliver impactful strategies that target emissions reductions from heavy emitting industries in the EU. This role will focus mainly on the issue of Chemicals Decarbonisation - where experience is preferable but not required - and take the lead on delivering EU-targeted activities and outputs. This role is initially set as a 12-month contract, with potential to extend, and will report into our Head of Policy and Research. 

What you will do

• Work with Climate Catalyst colleagues and partner organisations to develop policy options, positions and recommendations for European chemicals and to ensure effective engagement of business across different stages of our campaigns;

• Identify policy options and contribute to determining strategic policy positions and recommendations for decision-makers and those who influence them.

• Strengthen and build relationships of trust with key businesses, business NGOs, trade associations and other private sector actors

• Conduct stakeholder mapping, research, and analysis to identify strategies and tactics to effectively engage businesses and potentially investors in support of our policy objectives.

• Build knowledge in the field of decarbonising chemicals, with a specific focus on policy mechanisms such as the EU Emissions Trading System and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

• Lead strategies with partners for successfully targeting and engaging businesses to achieve goals and objectives to influence government policy

• In collaboration with partners, strategically engage C-suite executives and senior business leaders in support of campaign objectives, drawing on your network and the networks of other colleagues and partners as relevant

What You Would Bring

1. At least five years of demonstrated experience in engaging businesses towards policy advocacy relating to climate change issues.

2. Experience engaging with EU policy-making processes

3. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on organisation-wide strategies.

4. Knowledge and understanding of the key issues pertaining to decarbonisation of the chemicals sector or other industrial decarbonisation policies and areas pertinent to Europe.

About the role

This is a key role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. You will lead the development and delivery of the Trust & Grants Strategy meeting and /or exceeding income targets, support the ongoing development and delivery of strategic objectives and KPIs, ensure strong stewardship of our existing donor relations and prospect new opportunities for funding. You will personally secure income from Trust and Statutory audiences in support of Freedom from Torture’s work across our clinical work, policy and campaigning priorities.

You will manage a committed team of three Trust & Grants Officers and work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to implement the fundraising strategy. The Trusts and Grants Team sits within the Philanthropy & Partnership Team in Freedom from Torture’s friendly, creative and ambitious Fundraising & Communications Directorate.

You will represent the organisation externally with funders and work internally with colleagues to identify opportunities for funding, in the preparation of proposals and thereafter, reports. 
 

About you

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.

It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

What you will be doing

This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of national community and challenge event programmes across all four UK regions (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).

Using strong project and campaign management skills, the role will grow existing initiatives charity owned initiatives such as the Great British Dog Walk and the 28 Challenge and develop new, audience-led campaigns that inspire public participation, drive fundraising, and deepen long-term engagement with the charity.

In addition to the owned initiatives, the role will promote Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to participants of external national events such as The Great North Run or the London Marathon.

The ultimate objectives are to drive income generation and guide supporters from initial involvement to becoming volunteers for the broader work of the charity and legacy pledgers.

Desired candidate

• Proactive and confident self-starter with proven experience in campaign management, digital fundraising, and audience engagement.
• Strong understanding of social media tools, digital platforms, and challenge event management (e.g. Fundraising).
• Excellent project management and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop creative propositions and media plans based on audience insight.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel to events and HQ.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with an enthusiastic and positive approach.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. The Research & Impact Manager plays a vital role in our team, with a broad scope to get to the heart of, and tell the story of, our impact through quantitative and qualitative data. Your role is essential in providing insights and conclusions that critique and strengthen our theory of change and inform programme development. You will also increase our credibility with supporters through robustly-evidenced reporting, and inform the development of our policy and influencing work.

This is a role which encompasses both big picture thinking and detailed design and implementation. You will oversee monitoring and evaluation projects across Tender, engaging stakeholders within and outside the charity. You will also provide research-based advice and expertise to internal teams, using your insights to help inform and develop practice.

Role Purpose

The main purposes of the Corporate Partnerships Officer role are:

• Managing the continually improving the digital systems to improve Tender’s monitoring and evaluation structures and procedures
• Leading the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and processes across Tender, with the support of the COO
• Distilling learning from Tender’s work and wider research into key insights to inform ongoing service improvement, new initiatives, policy work, profile-raising and income generation
• Conducting research into arts-based and other interventions to prevent violence against women and girls (VAWG) and applying insights to improve Tender’s work

Essential knowledge and experience

• Understanding of impact measurement and evaluation, applying appropriate and proportionate approaches, tools and methods to maximise learning at project and organisational level
• Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and comfortable using them to gather relevant data
• Understanding of the use of theories of change and outcomes frameworks
• Advanced proficiency in office and CRM software, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce

Disability Advice Service Lambeth (dasl) is Lambeth’s peer-led Disabled People’s Organisation. 

We want a Welfare Benefits Caseworker to join our small but dynamic Advice team.  We hold the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) in the Welfare Benefits Casework Level category, and you will be integral to ensuring the ongoing quality of the service provided. You will also contribute to the exciting work that we do with other advice organisations, local MPs and councillors to influence change and policy in the social welfare system.
