Plan International UK is a global children’s charity striving for an equal world. One where every child can reach their full potential and every girl can choose her own future.

We bring people together to protect children’s rights and keep girls safe, in school and in control of their bodies – even when disaster strikes. And we won’t stop until we are all equal.

The new role will sit in the newly created Policy, Campaigns and Youth Unit. This a dynamic and agile team that brings together our policy, advocacy, campaigning and youth engagement work to influence change for girls’ rights and gender equality globally and in the UK

This is an exciting new role that will lead on effective, strategic relationships with key political and senior UK Government stakeholders, to support delivery of Plan International UK’s programme, influencing and fundraising objectives. This includes developing stakeholder engagement strategies, identifying and delivering opportunities for CEO and senior staff engagement, and engaging directly with Parliamentary and senior Government stakeholders as part of advocacy and campaigns strategies. The role is also responsible for providing high quality political and stakeholder analysis, contributing to shaping impactful advocacy, campaigns and communications strategies.

For further detail of this role, please see the job profile.

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in our work. We, therefore, apply rigorous recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only those who are suitable are recruited to work for us. Accordingly, appointment to all our roles is subject to a range of vetting checks and for this role this will include an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check and a check of the Children’s Barred List. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
